Very wise words at the end! Only copy&pasting values isn't gonna work and will not lead anyone to anything. For me personally it's more about the techniques and reasons why you've applied that processing and you've explained that very understandable!! (not like some other videos where they go like "cutoff at 56Hz, 43%of modulation,(...) and don't even mention why they're doing it) Thank you for your videos and good luck with university🍀👌

Dope content! The trick of the first harmonic muted gave me a lot of ideas to apply it. Thanks man! And yes. It took me a while to understand that at the end of the day you need to develop your own workflow rather than be following tutorials. Even if it's always good to get one or two new tricks with Projektor haha

Nice video bro, on a side note, you should always make sure it works in mono and be careful of phase cancellation when making stereo bass layers.

phase cancelation won't be too much of an issue once you high pass your stereo layer and then phase allign it!

Can you explain (or link to previous video) what you mean by 1st harmonic and 2nd harmonic? Also, when layering bass do you do anything to avoid phase cancellation? I'm always nervous layering bass in case I get phase issues.

harmonic series are what give a sound its texture & tone. Each harmonic has a volume & phase and is a sine wave with a frequency being a certain mathematical multiple of the fundamental. The 2 main harmonic series used are the saw series and square series. There is a wierd discussion going on if the lowest harmonic in a harmonic series is the fundamental and first harmonic or if the second lowest harmonic is called the "first" harmonic. Personally I call the fundamental the first harmonic. In terms of phase cancelation it's all about what you do first. if you phase allign your bass and then filter it, that's going to influence the phase again, putting it out of phase.
