I have been doing a 8-10 step face routine for four months now and WOW has my face changed. This shit is REAL...take care of your skin and you will see results.
@alimadaniels Hi! I'm not the original person and I'm also quite late to reply! But usually people will use the same skincare routine daily/nightly. The only difference would be if their day routine is different from their nightly routine but this wouldn't affect much as they'd still use the same routine and products consecutively. The only time they'd switch is if they were doing "skin cycling". Skin cycling is basically cycling through your different skincare products on different days throughout the week and allows for rest days instead of applying the same products every day throughout the week. So for example instead of - exfoliating , using retinol, acne spot serums all in one night , people would break it up over maybe 4 or 6 nights with rest days in between (I admittedly don't know that much about skin cycling but from a quick Google search and what I've seen online , this is the general idea of it). Also, someone's routine may change for example, every alternative night they'd do their "basic" routine including all the serums and creams etc, and the other nights, they might incorporate products such as benzoyl peroxide (that's how I used to do it) , however their "basic" or "set" routine would still be applied regularly. So , the answer I'm trying to say here after much rambling is yes, most of the times you'd have to do this every night or every alternative night. You'll have to find what works for you or ultimately go to a professional and ask but some form of routine should be expected and followed in order to see results! Hope this helped a bit😊
I love this so much!! I’m kinda a newbie to the whole skincare routine so all of this is super helpful!! One question tho- how long between steps/ products should you wait? I always feel like I’m not waiting long enough because my skin is still sticky🤷♀️ Thanks Tina!!
That's a hard one since it will depends on each product & it's ingredients - but I would just wait until the tacky-ness goes away applying the next step!
My favorite step is the toner/essence step too. My dehydrated, desert-dry thirsty skin drinks up all those toners, essences and serums -_- It's the most hydrating step for me and I just love it. Sometimes I would skip moisturizer and just do essences :D
I have the snail mucin essence from cosrx which works so great for me, but I have a hyaluronic acid serum which is actually thinner than the essence. So do I still apply the essence first even though it's consistency is thicker?
Do I have to wait to for the toner, serum, sheet mask to dry before I apply the next step? Like do I need to have a mini fan nearby to help my skin absorb the product or is it a good idea to apply the next product right away. I think for busy mornings this is especially challenging. How long does it usually take you to apply toner, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen in the morning? I still trying to figure out how long it take me to do my skincare on busy mornings and if im doing it right.
Your skin is my goal. Mine is dry as a desert with blemishes and dark spots. I tried so hard to get dewy skin with layering and masks but it clogs my pore and I start having bumps everywhere.
This is sounds like me, a year ago i was obsessed with skincare video & started to do so ,& it didn't go well. So i come back to my old skincare regimes, just i changed few of my skin care products, keep my skin care very simple & most of the time 3step skin care ....one big change i made that i don't use skincare products which contains fragrance, colour, alcohol (well some r good alcohol), paraban , Start using good quality sunblock every time I go out..... 🤗 & that's it , its really helped me lot...well my skin is dry sensitive breakout prone, so all the time i try to keep my skin well hydrated, that also helped me to control/ totally stopped from having breakouts...
Hi Tina….thank you so much for this video. I was never clear as to which steps came after the other to be the most effective. This helped so much. Take care 😊🇨🇦
Informative video indeed . I have a question If we use paula's BHA exfoliant then when we have to use wash off mask ? (Basically wanted to know the order ) 1.oil based cleanser 2.water based cleanser 3wash off mask(e.g im from mugwort mask) 4.toner 5.BHA Exfoliant And then rest follows..kindly tell me if anyone knows the exact order or is it correct order ..i will be grateful for that
I have a question, if you're going to use 2serums, 1vit.c and 1 centella. Which one should we use 1st? Also if you're going to use vit c in the morning, is there a waiting time before applying spf?
Bless your soul. I'm going to link people the "bleep" to this video !!!! Each person I try to help with their skin care ALWAYS ask me how to do this 5000 times. Like I make them write it down, step by step, and they still ask me 😂😑 Now they can watch you 💕
You had mentioned sheet masks and not washing them off, what if it says in the instructions to wash off? Do you wait a certain amount of time before washing it off?
I feel like since i did start collect doing beauty course i got really bad acne from getting excited and using exfoliating cleanser everyday.. over exfoliating worse mistake of my life !
If the essence comes as a cream, does the order remain the same (essence before serum)? Or should serum be used before essence cream since the cream is heavier? Thank you for your guidance!!
Girl you are gonna LOVE retinols. Waiting for you to come back to us about use of it. I personally loved the results. (Of course post the surge and once my skin got used to it)

Your vdeos are really very informative. But i dont do makeup now as im teenager and i wanna know that should i apply makeup after 7 or 10 steps of my skincare routine in morning or should i lessen these steps. Im bit comfusing about this cz i dont have clear information about it. Plz tell me
How long exactly should you wait before applying moisturizer? I only use hydrating toner and/or hydrating serum. I have very dehydrated and sensitive skin, I know I shouldn’t wait for too long but at the same time I’m worried the hydrators are not absorbed properly if I apply moisturizer too fast
If you are only using a hydrating toner and serum before your moisturiser you wouldn't have to wait for long - generally speaking products actually absorbs better when you skin is slightly damp!
A very useful and informative video! Thank you so much. I have one question. What about the eye serums/creams/masks? Do we use them after we use the products for the rest of the face or at some point in between? Thanks. :)
I bought the Naturium Skin Conditioner because of you, and I love it! Do you think it would have the same effect if I were to put it in a spray bottle instead of applying it directly on/with my hands?
I actually need a little help with AHA and BHA. I wanna use them at night routine and I dont know how to combine both of them. :( and may I use them in one day/ one week? untill now I used just BHA every night
Oh my, I love toners too and they are sooooooo under rated.. just use it and stop using to see what it was doing for you..: that’s the best way to understand how IMPORTANT toners are
Can anyone tell me that do I need both naturie hatomugi skin conditioner and naturie hatomugi skin conditioning gel or I can use only the gel or I should use some other brand conditioners and the gel? My skin is oily and I have very much acne Age-15
thank you for this informative video! Appreciated much on the insights shared on skin layering with the various products. It was really confusing for me before watching your video :)

I am definitely with you on the toner (that is why I trust your recommendation). I hate the feeling of any kind of moisturizer on my face. Even a thin moisurizer (emulsion) like Isntree green tea make me feel iky. Is there a toner/essence that can replace a moisurizer. I heard the Dr Ceuticle’s kambucha essence is very moisurizing…have you tried it before ?
I have not tried the kombucha essence! There might be some milky toners out there that could act as a moisturiser but generally speaking I do think wearing a lightweight product with occlusives (even something simple with glycerin) would be more beneficial😌✨
I have dry, flaky and sensitive skin and i use the cosrx aha bha clarifying toner once every two days. I usually leave it for a few seconds then wash it off bcs if I don't, then my skin became more dry even though i use moisturizer after
Dear, can you make a vid about Japanese Mochi-skincare? I read in Internet this style doesn't use any scrub or exfoliate, is this good? And what type of skin is suitable for this style? 🙏🍡
I’ve been using prescribed Retinoids (Tretinoin) for 5 years and apply it as the first step (after washing and then waiting 20 mins for the skin to be completely dry). This way, the retinoid isn’t diluted by any layers underneath.
Got the essence toner from pyunkang yul and I'm not quit sure if I should apply it after cleansing or after a watery serum bc its just so thick for a toner 😯
