This was a very helpful video. I have experience making glass projects with the copper foil method, but had not tried a lead came project. After watching this I feel like it will better suit a couple of projects I have in mind. This showed quite a bit of useful technique information in a short time. Thanks.
Excellent tutorial. He is very efficient cutting the glass and working of the lead came. I must make a came cutter like what he uses. I've been using a nippers. No fuss soldering technique and I appreciate the rest of the finishing process. I wished the video wasn't so narrow. Some of his working is off camera.

Ja, kann man machen, aber es erschwert das Andrücken der Backen an das Glas nach dem Verkitten. Man hat früher oft die Außenseiten komplett verzinnt, um dem Feld eine höhere Stabilität und schöneres Aussehen zu geben.
Diese Kerze ist das Flussmittel. Ich verwende Stearinöl, weil es sich bequem auftragen lässt. Aber eine Stearinkerze geht auch, wie wir hier sehr gut sehen können. In Deutschland reinigen und polieren wir die Verglasung nach dem Verkitten und Andrücken der Backen mit feinen Sägespänen. Das glänzt so sehr, dass man die Sonnenbrille aufsetzen muss ;-)
