I'm 3 years old 7ft12 and 18st and 27lb I currently play scrum half and have never lost a lineout year and score lots of tries am I playing the right position ?
im 6 foot and roughly 200-215 pounds and i play tight head prop, im extremely strong for my size, in my opinion at least and so are the other front rows in my pack who are about the same size as me, i can also play hook or loose head and flank if needed
16, 200cm, 22 stone and I love playing and being a lock, but my summer rfc has me as a prop because of shortages of people. Any tips on positioning a tall man in the front row?
lol this isn't a sport for short people, is it? Sucks, cause I'm 5"1, 65kg and have a bunch of leg muscle. But I don't think I'll fit anywhere on the team because of my height.
There's a place for everyone if they're good enough, if you've got good leg muscle and you're small you must have brilliant pace. Maybe you could be a back?
Tenshi-chan I've thought and tried that out... but my heart is with the forwards, and I absolutely love the idea of being a prop, or maybe even the footer.
I would argue the flankers do provide 'driving force' in the scrum, they are very important. Not only do they help hold the props back if using the 'hang' before the engage, they also help drive the props inwards and forwards.
I'm 18 and I always played prop when I was younger, but now I'm not big enough to play prop. I mean I'm big and short, but I don't have the shoulders to be a prop. My body is fits more appropriately as a hooker. But my problem is that I haven't played hooker in my life. I guess hooking the ball in a scrum is fine but I'm terrible at throw ins. I'm wondering whether it's too late to learn how to play hooker ....
I am 14 yrs old im 5"11 and weigh 13-14 stone i play 'lock' or second row and have a habit of tacking down people three times my bf ((body fat)which is 1.5 - 2 stone) Should i stay in second row or try something else
im 5'11 weight is 125 and im 14 lots of leg muscle but not much mucsles in my arms but my arms are powerfull so what would i play im new and from argentina thanks
Which position would be best for me my stats are height 183cm weight 70kg very fast and explosive average kicking good tackler strong from weightlifting aswell
I didnt understand much about this sport and a friend roped me into playing it and as it turns out Im pretty good at throwing a lineout, I might end up as the starting hooker on my team (highschool) Im 6ft 1in at 157lbs (really lean mainly muscle) am I gonna get destroyed? and what can I do to prevent it?
I love rugby and im thinking about playing, I am 5’8 140 lbs and I’m not fast but I can sure sprint I’m pretty strong for my age, I can read play well, tackle and pass, I am try to be dominant on the when playing sports, what position would I play?
I play Number 8 and i'm 5 foot 6 I am the second best football player for my club and i am the best forward i get the ball alot more than most of the backs and am the 2nd best try scorer for my team
My upper back is solid right now and my traps and lats are beginning to show (I get it all from pushups). Any good lower back workouts you would like to recommend that don't take too long? I only get to workout twice a week due to time management etc...
if kg you would want to go for prop because your a good hight and weight for it. but if pounds you are far too light for forward, go a wing and focus on getting your speed up. if you need more info just msg me :)
im 15, 120 pounds and 5 foot 6 inches. Im very skinny and dont have very large muscles, but im quick and agile as all hell. What position should i be playing?
i play second row and i am 4 foot and 9 kloies i am 11 and i am the strongest on my team an only lost two lineout last seaosen and 1 of thoese 2 are from the others team lineout throw
It depends, I'm 18, 86kg and 5"10 and I play either prop or 8. I play prop because I'm strong for a girl, we rarely have locks so it's my job to supply the main driving force to the scrum, but I play number 8 if we have enough players because I'm the fastest forward we have and I have one of the best endurances for running, but because I'm tall for a girl I've also been put as a lock for different teams. It all depends on the type of players on your team at the time, but if you're slow, it sounds like 8 isn't the position for you. Due to your height and weight hooker would be a good position :) Hope I helped
+Tenshi-chan yeah thanks. Really helped! I play for Norway u16 rugby and we played Sweden and they put me at 7 and I scored twice and hit a few turnovers, so I think I might try it out there. When I say I'm slow I'm not extremely slow but I'm not fast, like I run 100 in 15.5 I think haha. But, thanks for your help. I've always played rugby league (since I was 4) and started Union when I was 10 I think so I don't have as much positional awareness in Union.
I'm 15 (almost 16) I have been playing for 3 months :D. I am 154 pounds and 177 cm tall. I play currently winger. What position should I play? I'm not very good at tackling and not that fast but I when I need to, I can RUN xD!
Im currently 6'1. I have been gaining weight, and working on gaining mass so I can play the role as a flanker. Any specific muscles I need to work on? I've been mainly. working on my quads, calves, chest and arms.
I'm a rookie gearing up to play for my best friends club and this video was very informative for me. I'm 6'4 270 pounds with a good build from watching this video I should be a prop right? Because my friend is 5'9 230 pounds and plays both hooker and flanker.
