Thank you for quick guidance and motivation to kick start C4D. I think I should thank my 7y.o laptop as well for going through all hardships with me through out other graphic programs throughout these years
Came here not expecting much as I thought it would be just one of "those" videos. But Damn, this was extremely helpful! Thanks for taking us on your journey.
Matt, this was such a helpful video for me. I’ve been putting off learning cinema for years! I mean I know a little bit as a motion graphics artist but nothing to the extent of what you’re producing. I received some grant money that I’d like to use to invest in a custom PC. I’m an original Mac fanboy but need the extra power for third party renders. Anyways thanks for the tips! Def bookmarking this video.
Hey Miles, thank you so much for the comment! This video took a tonne of effort to put together over a few months so positive feedback like this really makes it worthwhile. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for making this video, I am planning to start learning cinema 4D and I wasn't so sure how to start so I'm really glad I've found your video!
What kind of application of c4d do you use in industry exactly? Regarding your job as a motion designer, are they bumpers or ad campaigns or other? Please specify or better yet, can you do a career option video on what one can do for clients or in a motion designer role?
I'm 41 years old and do traditional oil painting. I have a shitty old macbook air and was looking at some incredible art you guys produce on c4d. Am I too old to start tinkering with this stuff for fun? If I do enjoy it, is it pretty easy to find work? (bear in mind I have no idea about web design) How many hours a day minimum do you think one should spend to get good after a year or two? Excellent video btw, Im going to watch it again
That age thing is just complete bullshit. If you are interested in cinema 4d, then go for it. There is no "right" amount of time you should spent on learning c4d. Although I would recommend during days then you don't feel like opening a program, watch a tutorial, listen to a podcast. Surround yourself with c4d stuff. I didn't understood what you meant by web design, because you don't need to be a web developer in order to work with c4d. You can create simple personal website with squarespace (or any other similar tool). Create a nice, presentable portfolio and I am sure you will find work with 3D.
blender or cinema 4d which ones better. vote by writing the name and the number like 1st person tell 1 then if you second then write 2 and the next 3 and so on
Can we just use Cinema 4D for animation? (Not sculpting or modeling 3D objects) Basically, can I import 3D models *rigged or non rigged* into C4D so I can then animate them within C4D and create short cinematic scenes?
Thank you for sharing your experience ! Such a lovely and quality content. I initially started with those popular photo editor software and moved on to 3D world with C4D. Would you mind recommending some sources for creating abstract art? something random and spontaneous. Thank you once again !
Hello Matt, I want to create animated title very similar to one in 7:52. Could you let me know how to do that? I tried to find some online tutorials but unfortunatelly none of them covered this particular animation text. Thank you :)
This is amazing! You just pointed out every thing that I wanted to know and not one single video has explained that! Thank you. Would you be able to recommend a PC rig thats not too expensive just to do the renders?
I’d go for 16gb of ram minimum, typically you have at least a few programs you need to work in out side of c4d and 8gb will NOT hold up for that kind of work
Thank you so much for making this video! Funnily enough, I work at Webflow and worked on the Lottie launch (I'm more of an After Effects animator but learning C4D to expand my skillset) so absolutely love that you're leveraging 3D for websites! Again, thank you for this, I had such a hard time finding a general advice video in the huge pool of tutorials here on RU-vid.
Omg that’s so so cool!! Thank you for your work on that it’s such an incredible feature! Feel free to dm me on Insta / LinkedIn for any cinema 4D chats (made my day)
Awesome video! You were really clear and concise with the information. I've been working with AfterEffects for years and only recently started getting into Cinema4D. I can definitely relate to a lot of the things you were saying! Done the whole cineversity + skillshare thing and have had fun with the standard/physical renderer. It's time for me to take the next step and just pick a renderer - it's been a huge roadblock. I know you say just pick one and go, but i'm still unsure with the hardware i have? I'm running a 2019 MacBook Pro, Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon Pro 5300M. Does Octane X or Redshift work on this particular laptop? I would love to hear your advice on this :) Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks heaps for the shout-out Matt, glad to hear we were able to help you learn C4D! Brillint video btw, great to hear about your journey, all the best mate!
This is a really helpful video Matt. I'm trying to learn Cinema 4D because I'm leaning towards motion design work and these are some great ressources. Eyedesyn in particular I have followed for a bit and he does fantastic stuff. I have been going through Don Mupasi Skillshare class for a month or so and it's probably the best introduction to C4D for next to nothing spent. Cheers!
I use blender because C4D in my country is 630 euro. That's alot of money and you have to pay every year. I don't understand why companies don't sell their product just once for a higher price and then make money with their services afterwards. You can have paid updates, add-ons, etc. I'm willing to pay for them but I'm not going to pay 630 euro every year for the rest of my life to use the product.
Should have titled this thing, "All about me, swipe left..." I learned NOTHING because nothing advertised was taught. Bored now. Not subscribed, avoiding like someone coughing from now on.
Hey Matt, loved the video and here's a personal question if you will; I'm currently 16 in HS and I wanna apply for a product design course at 18. I have tried blender before but for my portfolio, I still need to get started with 3d in cinema 4D. Unfortunately I cant give a lot of time to it ( probably 3-4 hours per week). At an average speed, how long do you reckon I'll take to start making something that's worthy of sending off on a college portfolio.
Literally a whole advertisement/fake video. Dude is linking @ handles of the stuff he put in his video and actually has no design skill, last upload 3 years ago. No relevant video or actually showing him working in the programs, just a fraud.
I finished 140 video tutorial on channel " Tutor Tube " before 6 months and did not practice. I forgot many things . I am starting to see the same 140 videos and practice again. Do you think it is good ? Should I start of f with Cineversity instead ?
Hey Matt, just wanted to say like a bunch of others on here, this video was great mate. I'm also more of an After Effects animator but want to add 3D to my skills. This video was so helpful dude so appreciate it!
I was fortunate that I took a month or two off completely. I'd just moved back to NZ from Amsterdam so had some time to kill and that's what I wanted to dedicate it too :)
Wait, I live in Auckland New Zealand! Lol i was very surprised when u said that. I'm interested in realistic CGI, and have learnt the basics of Blender and am trying other programs like C4D.
any of them even if they all are bit similar. But I can tell few tNice tutorialngs changed and also I forgot almost everytNice tutorialng so I guess Im gonna start
Thanks a lot for sharing your perspective on the C4D tour. I am just become a newbie here. Can't wait to discover more !!! Appreciate for this VID so much (cryyy) I luv you ,Matt mate. >
Hi Matt, Great video I follow Visualdon - Don Mupasi and I like this Tutorials but my problem is Don use old version off Cinema 4D R21 and I use R 2023 new one. there is everything different. Do you now some tutorials for new version C4D. I think from R25 is similar. Thanks!
Thanks greatly for this amazing and well packaged tutorial on learning Cinema 4D. It is well worth the time and I hope to make great contents link yours someday as I work rigorously and vigorously towards it. P.S: We missed your contents by the way and I hope you are as fit as a fiddle? Keep up the good!
Hello, can you become my mentor on this? I just started my journey and wants to open my services as a freelance, will gladly appreciate if you could help me 😊
I'm new to 3D world so I have ceratin questions if you can answer those: - Can we create the new soft body animation in blender which is free - If not then which C4D version to buy maxon, redshift or something else
trying to learn soft so I am easily understanding everytNice tutorialng but I don't tNice tutorialnk it is for complete beginners who just opened the soft literally 5
tNice tutorialngs work. I do read so stuff in the manual but there is a lot, or I try to find tNice tutorialngs on youtube. So more help will be appreciated.
