the fact that she is confident speaking English and even if she thinks she messed up she pushes through, she inspires me and im subscribing so when I am far down my Japanese learning journey I will be happy to say she helped !
I spend hours every day practicing *shadowing* and my favourite podcast for doing this is 'Japanese With Shun'; Shun speaks slow enough for a beginner like me, but I sometimes play the videos at a slower speed. Comprehensible Japanese is another good channel for short videos, and slowly spoken Japanese. I love Ninjapanese too, of course. You're great. 🙏🙏🙏
You listen to what is being said and then try to say the thing they are saying as they say it. Shadowing is very difficult to do in my opinion but very worth it! It helps with pronunciation, and pacing of your speech to sound more comfortable with the language. Its also good because you are repeating the same thing over and over and over so you learn some useful phrases and put them to memory faster@@crazygamingbvr9260
@@crazygamingbvr9260 shadowing is basically listening to someone speak and copying it as close as you can, its supposed to be good for you brain for acquisition of language as well as obviously helping your pronunciation
That'll help when you learn Chinese. I have the opposite problem. I learnt some 300 kanji. Now I'm learning hanzi (Chinese characters) I look at them and think the Japanese word.
This guide is extremely helpful for people who wants to learn Japanese. ありがとう先生! I've been doing almost all of the steps mentioned except for writing (I will definitely work on it). I started speaking Japanese last year because I made a Japanese friend and wanted to be able to communicate with them. Prior to that I already had a lot of input (phrases, vocabulary, expressions) so I can understand simple Japanese but the problem was I couldn't put my thoughts well into words. That made me struggle keeping the flow of conversation. The more you speak the more you will improve and I have to give the credit to my Japanese friends cause they helped me improve a lot and even motivated me to learn how to read and type in japanese. Also, talking to myrself in Japanese helped me practice and get used to saying words so when I speak in a conversation it comes out more naturally. Even the internal voice in my head is in Japanese. Do your best everyone! 僕ももっと上手く話せる様に努力します! 日本語の勉強頑張りましょうー!
I have a question, i have a lisp when i say things with an S or anything that uses the same mouth movements. Will that effect my Japanese? Will it make other people difficult to understand what I'm saying? Ive been wanting to learn Japanese for the past few years but its always been a struggle with my lisp.
You are an absolute hero! I've been learning aimlessly for the past 3 weeks. I've listened to childrens songs; I've aimlessly watched N5 videos, as well as shorts and just tried to collate and absorb information from different sources. Sadly, it's not working so well. Hopefully, if I have some sort of structure, it'll stick. Also, the comments below are super helpful! Thank you all!
Finally someone who really breaks it down step by step. Learning hiragana and katakana first will help you in a long way followed by the vocabulary, then the basic grammar sentence structure. Thanks for breaking the video down into different categories! I am interested in the lessons!
This is, honestly, an incredibly brilliant idea! Having the path you need to take laid out like this makes it seem not as insurmountable as you first think. 本当にありがとうございます😁!
Hello, I'm an older person and still learning about internet. I've relized that I have to make an commitment to learn language, so at moment, I'm like just watching and listening. You are doing a fantastic job. You will go along way. Arigato

Your video on the roadmap is brilliant. I needed a guide to put things in order. I feel like I know bits of things and it worked ok on my recent visit to Japan. But I want more. Can you tell me the cost of the lessons? Thanks very much. I want to type but don’t know how to type in Japanese. I use an iPad.
This is an excellent roadmap! I just finished my first semester of Japanese and I've been trying to motivate myself to self-study before the next semester. This video really helped me set some realistic and achievable goals. Arigatou gozaimasu!
I never watched this video before; but when I look at the like button it's already liked? Any way, iine, arigato, and ski, Baby. I hope I can help to keep that Beautiful Smile on your Pretty Face. Don't believe the stats, the new world order geeks, are internet thieves n hacks. PS. I capitalize words I want to emphasize, It's not common and some would say incorrect. So, Great Job Honey, Omedeto, Campii, and You Bet!! Sorry I haven't mastered Nipon spelling Yet 😊.
Working with a lot of Japanese you learn how to say the words and their meaning but not how to read them thank you for the guide. Your English is great by the way way
I know some Mandarin Chinese from having lived in Shanghai for a bit. However, I'd love to learn Japanese, I'm just having troubles with the alphabet differences/sounds.

i had trouble learning Japanese. the one think i learn to be a great Japanese speaker is the following 1) have a goal, example for me i want to travel to Japan so i need to learn travel phrases 2) expose yourself to the language just watch a movie without subtitles (for me the more words i learn i keep saying "hey i know that word" i expect after just listening to native japanese speaker speak i eventually will learn the language currently learning a bit of Kanji too
Would you teach me Japanese. I'm autistic language skills are harder for me to learn but I want to take my future wife to Japan for a honeymoon. I think the harder it is the more abstract it is. Steven
I respect everyone’s view. But Japanese people explaining how to learn Japanese is just not useful most of the time. Because there’s so many variables that differ in their life that you cannot replicate the exact same conditions as a foreigner.
Hello, I downloaded the map and both Hiragana and Katakana links lead to only the Katakana video, it's ok as I can just search the one I want but I suppose you should know
Im trying to learn japanese but i keep having this problem where i listen the word translate it to english then to portuguese and i get really confused and im still in hiragana and i also found myself focusing on the romanji instead of the characters but on the other hand if i just listen i understand it better does anyone have the same issue? Or advice??
am interested in private lessons and want to learn to speak basic japanese before I travel to Japan. Can you let me know how long the lessons are and the cost?
Hey, do you know some site where i can learn polite, formal and other forms of japanese language cuz i've been using duolingo for 2 years now and i started to see videos about duolingo japanese not being good cuz it may be offensive?
I studied Japanese between about 2005 and 2008 with books. Today, with the Internet and youtube it is easier to learn this language. Especially since Japanese is fashionable today, which was not the case 15 years ago
Sensei: you have made an extraordinary work with the roadmap in pdf and all the links related to the roadmap. You are excellent, congratulations and thanks for your kindness. Dohmoo arigatoo gozaimasu.

Thank you for the roadmap I finished Learning Heragana & Katakana and I lost my motivation to continue because I felt lost. I’m planning to reach JLPT N4 and speak confidently before I go to Japan to study.
You can do it! がんばってください!🤩 Don’t focus on studying too much! Try to find a place you can USE what you’ve learned 😌 so that you can enjoy learning Japanese 🥷❤️🔥
