honestly i think knowing how to study languages the “lazy way” is the most important, especially when you’re learning multiple at once, because as you say, it’s a marathon rather than a sprint and if you only know how to “study hard” then you’re bound to burn out. you could even argue that studying in this way is more effective, because it’s a lot more natural - after all, it’s how you learn your native language as a child. sorry for the long comment lol thanks for the helpful video, love from a fellow korean learner 🇰🇷
If you’re learning multiple languages and significantly better in one than the other, then try to study the one you’re not as good at with the one you’re better at. This wont work if you’re a beginner in both but it really helps me I’m learning Russian and Japanese and I’m wayyy better at Russian than Japanese. Anime is pretty popular with russian speakers so that means I have double the resources 🤭
These are very useful tips that I realized I used without even being aware of it lol. As I’ve been learning Korean for 3 yrs I’ve developped these lazy habits and I have to admit it’s the only way I could ever learn any language hahah Btw I hope not to come out as rude but during the journaling part where you showed what you wrote I noticed some mistakes (5:46). I thought correcting these might be helpful to your learning journey ! First of all, for the month you wrote 발월 for august I guess, it should be 팔월 if you really wanted to write the entire word however you could simply just write 8월 as it is most of the time ! Then, you wrote 좌해요 but you’re making 2 mistakes here : you misspelled 좋아해요 and 좋아해요 means “I like” when I think you meant “the weather is good”. The correct way to say that would be 날씨가 좋아요 ! A more subtle “mistake” (it’s not really a mistake but it doesn’t feel natural I don’t know how to explain hahah) : you said “여자친구(를) 안았어요” which is not completely wrong but feels kinda off. Explanation : in Korean we tend to add “주다” (to give) at the end of a verb to express that what we are doing smth for the other (sorry if that’s not clear…) so a better way to phrase this would be “여자친구(를) 안아줬어요” (meaning : I gave my gf a hug) or “여자친구랑 안았어요” (lit trans : I hugged w my gf) Finally 2 small misspells : 네일 (nail) -> 내일 (tomorrow) and 이타리아 (doesn’t mean anything) -> 이탈리아 (Italia) What you wrote is completely understandable nonetheless and your level is already pretty good so keep going ✊ Anyway good luck on your Korean learning journey and have a good day !! PS : if you ever have any question about this feel free to ask me for more explanation I’ll do my best to reply quick and well hahah PPS : if anything I said is wrong or partially wrong please feel free to correct me as I am still learning Korean myself
Learning a language off self- interest is much more fun than learning a language for education, however, it also means that you are responsible for allocating time to reach your goal. That is why, I think this video was really helpful, by setting a guideline for how to spend your time in an efficient yet easy way. 谢谢 спасибо Thank you!
I'm learning Japanese in English, I do watch videos of J native speakers who teach Japanese in English, it's really help me improve my Japanese and English at the same time. When I was learning English, I had no idea that I was learning (like "learning a language without studying it") as I learnt for fun, learnt to watch my favorite show without turning on the sub, I didn't even know that my English had improved so much, and when I realized that my English had gotten better, I started learning grammar and kept studying passively, hope that my Japanese will be conquered by this method
Love these tips here! It's also important to remember that motivation comes in waves, so I love these "lazy" methods when I don't have as much motivation as usual
I find your content really real, useful and fun! As a language college student I definitely agree with you, your tips are fire and one of the best ways to improve your language skills fast. P.S: Your mic-fork is amazing, keep up
@@David_PhamDPSpanish, Catalan, English and French! Currently, I'm working on my Korean and Mandarin Chinese; I hope I can make some progress soon! Thanks a lot for answering. I look forward to your upcoming videos
I already speak 4 languages but still wanna learn more. This video is healping a lot ty sm. Just a little question, how can i manage keeping all of the languages im learning on mind and not getting lost between one and an other??
좋은 영상이네요 At my university, many classes are conducted only in English, so I need to improve my English skills to survive in my major... I've started watching some reality shows on Netflix like 'Goldin' and 'Owning Manhattan' without subtitles. It's really hard for me to follow, even though they're very fun, but I wish , after struggling, I'll be able to follow my classes without a translator. I've received a lot of tips from your video, so thank you for that. And I also cheer for you in learning Korean! 화이팅입니다~
by the way, I wonder if the word order in Vietnamese(probaly your mothertoung) is the same as in Korean. In Japanese, the word order is really similar to Koeran, so as a Korean,my case, just by consistently watching Japanese contents, I can understand them to some extent without studying Japanese. however, In English, due to the difference word order, it was not that easy case... If the word order in Vietnamese is different from Korean, I think it will take some time, just like how English is difficult for me.
Thank you for your comment! You will get there eventually. Korean is so different from my mother tongue Viet and German. So I feel the same struggle as you. Fighting!
@@집에갈래-p1b Is it like when portuguese people such as myself hear spanish people? Like we can understand a lot of spanish without learning it because it's pretty similar although we can't speak it
@@coffee-is-power Ah, it's not really like that. Korean and Japanese use different alphabets and pronunciation systems, so there are a lot of differences between them. So, even if you're Korean, if you don't have much experience with Japanese, you won't understand most of it
Finally someone made a video about this holy crap, this is exactly the method i figured out myself for learning english and now japanese, this works specially well for me because i literally have 0 willpower. Just make sure you're enjoying learning the language, do not become the try hard spoiled kid that think he's better than everyone else and PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF GOD don't compare yourself to others.
@@David_PhamDPMais la c est une volonté de souffrir, comment tu peux aimer le français ? Même moi j ai tjr pas compris le coup du "on met au hasard des lettres mais sans son ET on rajoute des t un peu partout pour le fun" 😭
You are my role model! But a person studying is always worried about forming the wrong habits... It feels inefficient to correct things without someone around
I'm learning Japaneses and Italian , what i do for japanase is to watch lessons on ENGLISH (English is my second language) so at the same time i'm practicing my English and learning Japanese .... (As im doing right now with ur video ) and with Italian im still looking what suit me (any advice?)
I'd like to learn Korean, Chinese, and Spanish, but i dunno what should i do first. Could you recommend me some channels for learning these languages effectively and with an easy way.🎀💫
Brother if you don't mind me asking, can you make a new video for the Korean Language (like a how to learn?) I'm also trying to learn Korean and it would be really help to get a roadmap/structure to learn thr language and i really like your way of learning a language too!
@@David_PhamDP oh yeah.. I forgot about that part! - you're editing Skills makes it look like as if you're a master at Korea lol. Seriously it's kinda weird to see that you have only 2k subs. It should definitely be more then what it is currently as the way you talk/explain stuffs makes it look like you have been learning this language for years now! (Will definitely use this method today as it's my first day and it would be an easy cake!)
Hi I am 6 years old girl from India I like your video I want to improve my English speaking skills so I want to have a conversation with you on Google meet app or whatsapp please
