How To Learn React JS Fast? This is a question I have heard over and over again. In this video i'm going to go over 5 things you can to to learn react fast. Some of them are obvious and some are controversial but I promise you that you will learn react fast if you follow them.
Learning is hard but many tutorials that teach react show you too much too early and confuse things. Take advantage of the scientifically proven method of chunking when you learn react and it will speed up your progress a lot.

im in your position, just graduated college and I felt like I didnt get enough of this , due to the pandemic and the limited availability of professors. Ive been saying that what you describe here is exactly what I need, someone to observe and ask questions and get real answers. Ive been learning React for an internship for about 5 months, and Im just now starting to grasp the core concepts. I did have 3 sessions with a tutor , which was kind of a waste of money but it was helpful and insightful to see someone who knows what theyre doing explain it .

That's very helpful perspective, becouse I often start learning JS from the beginning, when I want to learn a framework. And that's stupid, becouse I know a lot of JS, but I always feel like I don't know enough - so I start over...

Thanks for the graph analogy, mate! Have been learning coding for 2,5 months; doing JS fundamentals now, still non-the-wiser, but had a similar epiphany the other day: what i've learned so far are just pieces of a puzzle. Each of them sort of makes sense in isolation, but not enough to put them together and build a complete picture. Thanks to you, i realize that this IS the way to learn and the assembly bit comes later.

Your take on learning is a refreshing one. I've seen way too many React courses attempt to teach several build tools and libraries partway through. It's incredibly overwhelming for anyone attempting to learn React and they'll have this notion that it's everything they need to build a proper React app. Worst case scenario is students placing over-reliance on them and/or not using the tools to their full potential. I agree it's best to learn the barebones concept first and make mistakes with it. Once you're comfortable, the build tools will be there to aid you and really won't take too long to learn and setup. Great advice and great video! 👍

Amazing mindset for someone like me that has been left behind in industry positions and teams because I haven't been able to learn React well in one year. I've been missing a lot of opportunities to get higher on my carrier, seen noobs getting better positions and myself just getting stuck with understanding: "why you can get well react". Exactly! It's hard and uncomfortable but you will learn much quicker that way. Every time you try to build something you will run into specific problems. You will ask specific questions and eventually find answers. You will remember that orders of magnitude better after that struggle to find the answer than you would if someone in a tutorial just told you how to do it

This graph style learning is so true for me. I learned literally a basic few pieces of JS syntax. Now I'm jumping head first into react. Granted, I know other programming languages(on a basic level, albeit). But I will say that so far, most of the challenge of react is how the components work together and link to each other. The syntax of the jsx so far has been fairly straight forward. For me, it's getting a big picture of how the nuts and bolts of react work. I started out by stripping it down to the barebone necessity of core files just to have react display one word on the screen, then I analyze what happens as I tinker. For me, experimenting and actually doing its how I learn best. As the pieces slowly come together, I will then go back and do it the "right" way, and having gone in a tinkered around, the fundamentals will make all that much more sense to me because I know how they are being applied. Great video and great approach.

I normally don't freely give great complements. But your conceptualization on learning goes against the trend of other youtubers and makes more sense in comparison. I've been fighting myself and trying to keep on the path of learning one way which everyone has been saying. Which is to learn JavaScript very well before learning a framework and they do speak very linear and you're the only one who gives this advice which I myself never thought to consider. Thank you for the excellent advice. Because of your excellent advice I will try learning React by the first of April thank you for your advice.

What a good video. I have some experience with after effects scripting (old js, extendscript) and some js experience, and now I'm learning react. And everyone is saying, ooo, react is easy to learn. I'm thinking, am I stupid, or what?! For me it's so hard to understand these concepts... I needed so much time/effort just to understand state. JS is quite straightforward, react has so much concepts that I never saw before.

This has really opened my mind up to learning not just React.js, but anything, really. I often learn things slower than I should be due to distraction, as I'm always concerned with doing it the "right way. You have shown how there is multiple ways of going about this - exploring - which I couldn't agree with more. Best practices, etc., are simply distractions.

The really is amazing advice. The crazy thing is you could remove the React specific elements and apply that to anything. Half the time I'm trying to read a million different things to become an "expert" when really it's just actual hands on learning will make you better then you go back and fill in the gaps. The other thing I've found valuable is rereading the same thing. It's helpful for all the reasons you said. You go back and just have a new perspective on why that thing is important etc. When you first learn CSS you're just amazed everything works, then when you learn how to write CSS you struggle with organization. Then you realize oh that's why people use "BEM" or whatever. Such a great way to learn.
