I felt the burning of the bosom watching 'Frozen' and an old movie called "Planes, Trains and Automobiles' I also felt the burning of the bosom in songs like 'Bohemian Rhapsody'... The same warm fuzzies appear as random sometimes, as when one has to fart; it appears that these emotions are created by the body, inside the brain, and sometimes this can be random, spontaneous.
The 1st time I rememebr the warm fuzzy teddy bear out of a microwave feeling was when, as a child, I was watching Mr. Rogers and my mom started vacuuming. This fact didnt help the relationship with my ex-wife..... True stories!!! 😅
I left the LDS church 6 years ago, glad to be out, I also left behind any belief in Christianity or any religion. I am pretty much an agnostic now. I also left behind being judgmental another person’s belief system.
Sad, that many people that have left Mormonism forsake the Lord, they take the wrong path again, the only way is through Jesus Christ. I left Mormonism because I loved the Lord and Mormonism dilutes Him, when I read the bible, with an open heart, my eyes were open, and I was truly saved by Him..
What happens is that the religious critical thinking follows into the Christianity... just try watching Rabbi Tovia Singer talk about Isaiah 7. Joseph Smith Jr didn't do anything that the writers of the Biblical scrolls didn't do with the original Jewish material. Then you follow that through Dr Joshua Bowen and the epic of Gilgamesh to realize Judaism just ripped Gilgamesh to write about Noah. That desire to really know and not be dupped again is a big reason Mormons turn to the Bible with scripulosity and come to really appreciate Dr Bart Erhman's work.
LOL. It was like when I spontaneously had a huge burning of the bosom sensation at the end of the Star Wars movie, it was like, "Wait a minute, you mean I bring this on myself?!" Either that, or the Force was with me. ;)
I really think my childhood would have been way less toxic and painful if my parents had simply joined some more mainstream Protestant church. The racist doctrine issues were a huge source of contention and confusion in my house, as well as the obsessive perfectionism. Some of the dynamics would likely have been unhealthy in any case, but I really believe Mormonism magnified a lot of them. The sexism, the racism, the favoritism of my brother that led to him developing a personality disorder, the sickening obsession with sexuality and very young girls confessing to men - all because we had to be Mormons instead of Methodists or Presbyterians. My parents could never have parented or probably even survived without some kind of religion. I guess I should be thankful the JWs didn’t get us first.
Just slip out the back jack . Make a new plan Stan . You don't need to be coy Roy . Just listen to me . Just hop on the bus Gus , you don't have to discuss much . Just drop off the key Lee , And get yourself free .
3:48 Too bad. She missed the main point here. The point is that you can't tell the difference. And if you can't tell the difference, you don't have knowledge. And knowledge is the foundational pillar that a Mormon testimony is built on. Because if god can't give you knowledge of which church is true, then how could you know? You would be no better off than everyone else in past centuries trying to figure out what's true. Mormons will contrast the founding of their church, a "restoration" (actual visitation from god to Joseph Smith and subsequent revelation to him about how to run the church) with the reformation, which was man's intellect trying to interpret scripture and figuring out what they think god is saying in the bible. So if a Mormon testimony doesn't bring you actual knowledge of Mormon-specific truth claims, then the entire epistemological house of cards falls down, and you realize the whole knowledge-gaining process in the church is just a process to make believers out of people.
Knowledge, liek your church swears up and down that all church leaders magically know "the truth about a person or situation"? Then tell me why does the LDS church keep letting so ma ny pedos who were offending in such matter BEFORE their last interview become Bishops? Heck, there have been registered sex offenders the church has made church leaders, like Michael Adam Davis who your church made a "elders quorum president" and put in charge of little kids. Heck, you just had a few more bishops get in trouble for that last month. to add to the list like: Bishop George William Aaron Bishop Tevita Hoihoi Mounga Bishop John Goodrich Bishop Terry George Allen Bishop James Hayes Bishop Keither richard Price Bishop Scott Dale Owen Bishop Scott Alan Darrington Bishop Douglas Stoddard Bishop Floyd C Jennings Bishop Shawn Tyler Mortensen Bishop Geoffrey James Powell Bishop Marvin Ross Harker Bishop Donnie Rue Boring Bishop Carl Matthew Johnson Bishop Stewart Allsford Bishop Shawn Cory Gooden Bishop Scott Elvin Phister Bishop Geoffrey James Powell Bishop Donald Ray Tolman Bishop Keith Lorraine Gillins Bishop Keith Richard Price Bishop Richard Blaine Sampson Bishop James Hayes Bishop Luis Gonzales Bishop Glendon Templeton Bishop Keith Robert Vallejo Bishop Fleming Westover Bishop James Haskell Bishop George William Aaron Bishop Paul Douglas Burdick Bishop Arlo Kay Atkin Bishop Stewart Allsford Bishop Gordon Brent Bodily Bishop Gary Reese Bishop Allen Brinkerhoff Bishop Charles John "Chuck" Blome Bishop Ron Phelps Bishop David James Gomez Bishop Chester Lewis Meek Bishop Arlo Atkins Bishop Rex Furness Bishop Clerk Bruce A. McAskill Bishop Lon Harvey Kennard Bishop Luis Gonzales Bishop David Maxwell Bishop Paul William Newman Bishop James Denos Bishiop Michael Lynn Bronson Bishop Spencer Dixon Bishop Errol Kent Pilling Bishop Alberto Reyes Bishop Joseph Neipp Nicholas Pierre Faivre Bishop Dylan Kevin Whiting Bishop James Douglas Robinson Bishop David N. Moss Bishop Francis Heber Fuller Bishop Jefferey Head Bishop Steven Berry Bishop Martin Joseph MacNeill Bishop Samuel H. Gardner Bishop Steven Murdock Bishop Todd Michael Edwards Bishop Timothy McCleve Bishop Paul Burdick Bishop Lon Kennard, Sr Bishop Michael Wayne Coleman To name a few. So, either the church is lying about them having the magical power of discernment or else your "god" doesnt know squat. The number of Missionaries that have managed to get caught is in the hundreds, and they all had interviews...so tell me why is it your "god" didnt know what kind of sickos they were?
1:37 _"You chose not to have a relationship with god."_ 1. That's presuming a god exists. 2. You don't choose your beliefs. You become convinced. It is incredibly disingenuous and offensive to misrepresent someone else's beliefs.
Tell me why is it your church preaches against alcohol, tobacco, coffee, porn and all the rest when the church has investments in companies that sell all of the above? I mean you can even buy alcohol in the LDS mall for pity sake and the church recently invested over $700,000 in Dave & Buster's Entertainment Inc...its a bar, to say nothing of all the hotels its invested in that sell it and porn to their rooms. I guess its ok if the "lord" makes money from it? LOL The Church is a complete joke and the leaders know it, thats why they invest in things the "scriptures" warn against Mormon.
I have a feeling to leave the church. I want to live a life free according to my will. But I can't because I remember my covenants and promises made to our Heavenly Father. He wants me to live and walk in a strait and narrow path. He wants me to endure to the end.
It is sad to hear that so many Mormons who have been lied too move from theism to atheism. They never investigate how the existence of God is well supported in science and the Bible is also well supported. God is real and Jesus did die for your sins. Including your unbelief. Mormons who leave Mormonism and become atheists move from one lie to another lie.
There are many new people coming in the LDS Church. :) Athiesm actually is veyr illogical. Existence is too organized and complicated to be accidental. It's alike a Tornado making a Spaceship.
Have you read the books by the people who have left Buddhism? Be an informed consumer and Do your Due Diligence and read the books by those who've left, before you promote a religion. And Tibetan Buddhism is probably the worst form of Buddhism. It is, in reality, Lamaism. It's a religion with prophets, seers and revelators who are ALL MALE and who lie and deceive and abuse children in the monasteries, and abuse women everywhere. Remember when the Dalai Lama asked the little boy to suck his tongue? Such abuse is rampant in the monasteries. And it goes much further than just tongue sucking. Please read "Enthralled: The Guru Cult of Tibetan Buddhism" by Christine Chandler. She left Buddhism after 30 years being very close to the Dalai Lama. Buddhism is marketed in the west as a peaceful religion. It's not. And it is NOT benevolent, as most westerners wish to believe. Tibet practiced the worst form of slavery that ever existed, and this slavery was institutionalized everywhere. 97% of the population of Tibet were slaves. The Dalai Lama owned slaves. The slavery did not end until Communist forces invaded Tibet and abolished it.
I love mantra meditation taught by Buddhists. I also love feeling my feelings, such as anger, jealousy, pride and fear, until they go away rather than suppressing them all the time due to my old Christian beliefs. Recommend book Meditation for Dummies by Stephan Bodian a former Buddhist monk and psychologist.
But at least this would be real, or a somewhat real thing to use as evidence.. instead of the unfounded belief in 2024 of millions of white Jewish Indian ancestors, steel and animals that nobody has ever found any hint of evidence of anywhere in this entire hemisphere..
In Mormonism, she never encountered Jesus Christ, though they use his name in the title of their cult. There is Truth beyond what you know and what you don't know. You need to know Him, not a feeling in your body or a concept that says ultimate Truth is unknowable and there is only virtue in the not knowing.
I don’t read anti Mormon garbage because it is dark, Misinfomation, falsehoods, faith destroying, yucky. I read inspiring, light filled, truth filled creation building material. That points me to my Creator and His love for me and ALL His Creations whether they choose Him or not. ❤️☀️
Lol so you didn't watch the video, have no idea w hat they say in it, but you wanted to call them liars anyway. Well I'm glad you commented because comments good or bad tell the algorithm to push the video to more people, so thank you for that Mormon. Oh I don't read mormon material any,ore because it's filled with lies from a church that got fined by the sec for lying to them. Waiting to see what happens with the huge lawsuit the church is facing for lying to parents and law enforcement for decades over abuse it knew was going on in the scout program.
I would agree she has never experienced God because the Mormon God is not real. I can understand why she is an atheist. As a Catholic, I can say with surety there is God and I hope someday she opens her heart to get to knowing the Him. I do applaud her for her courage to speak out and help those who want to leave mormon faith, she’s very Knowledgeable and believable.
Because its: Racist, Fake, greedy, exposes kids to sexual abuse, lied to its members about tithing, was fined by the sec for lying to it, has investments that sell things it preaches against like alcohol, it highly abusive to women and children...the list goes on and on. Maybe you shoudl actually watch the videos you comment on instead of being a mormon troll trying to bully people back into the cult.
Yea they figure out the leaders cant see into the future like the church says they can. Protip: The 13, greedy old white men at the top of the also dont have any of the other magical powers the church swears they do, like reading any other language (as the church says is a magical power of all "prophets, seers and revelators") as well as they cant magically look at someone and "know the truth about a person or situation" like the church says on their website.
Gee a definition by someone who is so mentally unstable he swears his leaders has magic powers including the magical power to see into the future, yea, that's going to be really thought out....not.
@@frankszulakiewicz5826 I can see i am talking to another Mormon who doesn't have much int eh way of reading ability. I clearly said, "he swears his leaders has magic powers " I used really small words, just for you. Its not my fault you can't read. No, your inability to comprehend what is written at the 4th grade level doesn't amaze at all Mormon, I find it sad so many LDS have such low education levels.
I to stepped away from the church 27 years ago. I have since come back to this faith and Yes... It was and is the right move to make. Ex Mormon people like this blasting a faith to anyone who will listen to her own downfall. This church does good world wide in ways no other church has. She has fallen from a spiritual belief into a personal spiritual loss of right from wrong. I have watched many of her videos and I will say this, she is wrong in blasting Mormons who are very good people and who attempt to live good life according to the laws of God in the name of his son Jesus Christ. She once had a countenance about her and now is gone to oblivion in none belief. This is the devils work you are watching... attacking Mormons in her coy way. I pray she finds her way back to God in any faith in the future. Shame on her attacking good people... She is also attacking her siblings, parents and friends.
I didn't hear her attacking anyone. Speaking her truth about an organization and a deity is not attacking. She is free to speak about these things just as much as you and I are. Why do you keep watching her videos?
Follow the money.. just looking at the financials of Mormonism and their hidden shell corps and multi-country tax avoidance would make Bernie Madoff blush.
No question, many leaders and members over the past 200 years of The Church of Jesus Christ, have mistakenly interjected their opinions as doctrine, like most of polygamy and the ban on the priesthood, but the basic teachings of Jesus of loving, serving and forgiving one another, are true and aren’t just natural to humans, they’re taught and learned. I stay active in the church because I know it’s right and true, but keep an open mind and reject false teachings and traditions, from all religions.
