trap a mountain golem thing you know the big stone emental kite him into a hole. he is frost resistant. just shower him with the frost staff until you level to max. it will not even tickle him. build a little hut with fire above to stay rested and happy leveling
I found it to be way faster just running around killing everything I found with the fire staff😂 when I got higher in lvl i moved to mountain biome and got great xp from stone gollems. Now i run around in ashland at elemental magic at 65,with full magic focus and having so much fun. Some guy i watch on twitch went mele + the ripper, and he is having a really diffirent experience than me😂
I did a half assed variation of the Blood Magic Grey dwarf spawner and it worked fine. What was funny was that after I finished, I portaled away, but decided to come back again. My two original archer skeletons were still in the area, so the next time I had 4 archers.
I had to dig a pit and raise a series of earthen walls around the spawner. Otherwise undead army raids come and destroy the Greydwarf spawner. A troll came pretty close to it at one point too.
good way top level elemental magic is the golems in the mountain biome, frost does no damage to them, if you can dig them into a ditch, and stand above the ditch spamming the magic ability it increases your skill point
I did the same thing with my blood magic except instead of building stuff I just dug a hole around the spawner and built a little archer box on the edge, they didn't attack the spawner and it was easy todo
I did something similar with greydwarf spawner but was able to move the operation really close to make it faster. I built them a pen where a large pair of trees was in between the spawner and them to block their line of sight/arrows. Also one suggestion is build yourself some shelter/fire for rested bonus so you always get the xp bonus
With leveling up Blood Magic, I found that if you build a nearby portal, and you portal out of there, the Skeletons will despawn. However, if you portal a certain distance away, the Skeletons remain. In my setup, I have a nearby portal JUST for teleporting in (at a safe height on a tree), and a portal further away for leaving.
Another way is to make a 2x2 artificial boulder by raising the ground at the spawner. This prevents the spawner from breaking. Do the same beam barrier in the video, but the walls and floor are optional. The greydwarf/shaman/brutes will spawn at the sides of the wall and will get shot by the skellies. I did this after looking at this video and worked wonders. I havent tried the draugr village setup. Let me know if archer druggies can shoot the skellies down from below
elemental experience gain: 1 per Staff of embers, and 0.2 per Staff of frost attack hitting a creature. = 1 exp per 35 eitr for fire, and 1 exp per 25 eitr for frost (if you land all hits). Frost is equal if you land 5 out of 7 shots, better if you land more, worse if you land less. I love your skeleton/blood magic setup.
I'm not sure the wiki is right there as you can level elemental damage crazy fast with the frost staff. If this were true one would expect it to level way slower even if hitting all the shots which is easy to do btw.
For the blood magic I find that farming Draugr from a body pile is much faster, it has a faster spawn rate and they are strong enough to pop your shield bubble for extra XP at the same time. Just raise the ground so it covers the pile so your skeletons don't destroy it and keep them shielded.
This is good when you have plentiful magic food and you can be actively using it. When I just started using my grey dwarf spawner farm. I was not able to get much royal jelly. Being able to use one set of food to summon and then not eat again allowed me to level up my blood magic inexpensively foodwise. Now we can get into the infested mines more easily.
Takes a bit longer but build a trench around the dwarf spawner. Then a trench around you / summons. Raise ground in front of the spawner so arrows won't destroy it. Saves any trolls messing up the party.
The Body pile would be an improvement for leveling Blood Magic as it summons faster than The Greydwarf nest, The downside is you can't actually afk farm with it. You just need to raise the ground to hide the body pile so that the skeletons won't "accidentally" destroy it. I don't think the Rested buff increases your mana regen, The Eitr-weave set would be responsible for that. The Rested bonus is necessary for the bonus exp though. Having a roof or shelter is a must have at the swamp since the rain doesn't stop. I've heard that the staff of protection only grants you exp if your self bubble pops, Skeleton's bubble isn't affected by exp, Needs confirmation though.
The reason I did not use those for the AFK farm is the swamp is way more dangerous and it spawns archers. I tested this. Dwarfs are better, safer to afk.
@@Firespark81 actually you dont have to go to the swamp. Just find a drauger village in the meadows. Much more managable especially if you just use a new server and only deal with eikth raid. Semi afk training. Skeles will need to be resummoned or protection bubble have to maintained. If you take an active part and use the draugs to break your own bubble then the training becomes all the faster. I have noticed that the protection bubble does not refresh the power if recast while previous one is still active rather it just refreshes the timer. This allows the caster to make sure the bubble is popped consistently and regularly. Instead of wood barricade a simple ground level pen of 2x1 marble will hold without repairs for a very long time.
At some point, all I Could think about was the Eminem song; Without Me; Two trailer park girls go round the outside Round the outside, round the outside Two trailer park girls go round the outside Round the outside, round the outside Round the outside! XD
For the blood magic farm you did, adding a roof for shelter and a campfire that won't prevent dwarf spawns, but gives you the bonus will make you gain levels faster. A more complicated version of this is to dig a pit around the spawning like in all graydwarf farms, have a building near by, and have your skeletons in the pit or somewhere out of reach if doing archers. However after level 15 nothing that will spawn will kill your skeletons in a few days. Also hoeing the ground right beneath you like that only works in no build cost mode. In regular playing the ground will not rise straight up anymore.
@FireSpark81 would a BUTCHER KNIFE kill your "melee" skeleton instead of turning on PVP? Butcher Knife is used to kill "tamed" pets like chicken and I saw that the Skeletons does states it is "tamed" 3:16 EDIT: I'm unsure if it was patched already but Frost Staff + Snow/Stone Golem up in the mountains = XP level. Snow Golem is immune frost but still gives magic XP.
Okay, check this out yourself, but if you teleport a certain distance away from your skeleton summons, and summon a new set of Skeletons elsewhere, THE ORIGINAL PAIR WILL REMAIN. This is awesome.
Instead of Lox...b/c that is horribly slow, it is great to go to swamp, get a spawner of skelly's and draugers and frost away...use protection as bonus sinice you'll be squishy. I am leveling 15x faster this way. I am setting up the full protection spawner now from your vid, thanks!
BEST WAY i find out its to look for a SWAMP GHOST and strike him with the ICE STAFF (its inmune to it) and block with the staff (if you want). You will never kill the GHOST and continuously lvl up elemental magic.....if someone finds a way to trap the ghost for this plz let me know.....great video Spark!!!!
stone circle with draugr spawners, protect the spawners by covering them with a hoe and let your skeletons go to work. pop a protection everytime it is destroyed. faster than greydwarf spawners.
I tried this, but the 2* elites/archers kept killing my skeletons. I'm going to see if I can find a better way though. Maybe a certain structure around these circles.
Building the farm then using raiseskill command provides the same gaming experience as doing it legit, because the afk part isnt gameplay@@Mogtepyigsoloth
You can also drag an abomination, or stone golem into a pit, and just shoot them forever. They're immune to frost dmg, so you have a permanent punching bag. It's very slow though. 0.2 xp/hit.
Tamed lox with a lox tower works better imo, you get the meat, the fur, and level faster :D (they are still resistant, but they do take damage) You have to take some breaks as the lox grow up, but, who wants to sit there for hours and hours straight anyway ;D
i just dug a hole round the spawner and pushed my 2 skellys in the hole they last for ages before need to replace them , and sat next to the hole and dealt with the rarely appearing other mobs up top with the ice staff i also used the pritection staff on the skellies here and there
First I absolutely love your vids and all that I’ve learned. So just curious, is saying “underneath of” on purpose? I’ve never heard anyone say it and was so curious
Tried the skeleton thing. It "works", but I had multiple 2 star dwarves, brutes and shaman, as many as 20 or 30 mobs out at a time throwing rocks, and my skeletons only got to level 6 before they were finally killed.
Unfortunately you don’t get access until you are more or less done with all current content (sans boss) because by the time you get enough cores to make the crafting bench you have the mats to make the items. 😢 more biomes to come but, that will probably be a long time from now.
why use a lox to level your elemental magic?? just dig a pit and trap a stone golem their 100% immune to the frost staff you can sit there forever leveling magic and it wont die. and it cant get to you if you put it in a pit.
what about spawning Bonemass and afk with your skeleton archers on a tree platform. That way you'll get rid of all the withered bones collected during iron farming and also get a few ugly trophies for your base builds.
Swamp is scary. I tested leveling with the swamp spawners. You end up with archers Wraiths and everything under the sun. Forest is easy to deal with and safe.
I'm sorry, but how can you make a video about a topic and not even look up total basics about it? Frost staff may be better for training magic than Ember staff, but you do get 1/5 xp per hit. Also, your method is not fast and it relies on finite resources. I did convert Draugr village spawners into these pillars they spawn on top of non stop which is much better for leveling up than this and even that I wouldn't call fast.

@@Zzues The method itself is not my beef with the video, it is the xp part. When someone speaks as if with authority on something and don't even put any effort into it.
Not sure what you are talking about about finite resources. Also all the mistlands stuff only gives you 1xp from what I have seen in the Valheim discord chat. Second you do get 1 point per hit that is why it level so fast. The staves are based on per hit like all the melee weapons.
@@stanislavzoldak2198 His method makes sense and is useful. Your points are also valid. Maybe just contribute and say so instead of getting angry about it and attacking people.
