Absolutely loved this talk! Tolan’s passion for helping others and his strategic approach to personal and professional growth are truly motivating. The humor throughout made it an engaging watch!
What an inspiring talk! Tolan’s insights on overcoming obstacles and pursuing your desires are both practical and motivational. Loved the humor mixed in-it made the message even more impactful!
There is merit to what Mr. Tolan says. from my observations a problem arises because many of us were so brainwashed by the notion that "honest is the best policy" we cannot lie to ourselves; thus we hold ourselves back. However, we deal in a world of liars. Politicians, government employees, hucksters - we need to lie and lie well to to get ahead.
Thanks for the peptalk! Now i can go back to blissfully banging my head against an impenetrable wall of debt, content in the delusion that one day "you'll see!" I will make some kind of dent. Keep on banging that wall guys! Uncle Sam needs a new pair of twin towers and your banker needs a new Roll Royce. KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE!
this dude lied his way into getting the opportunity to do a ted talk, stole boring drivel from self help videos and cheated about ten minutes of my time from me.
You wrote this comment four years ago. Based upon your attitude to Tolan's talk, I have a sneaky feeling that since then, nothing much in your life has changed for the better.
The reason many people don't go anywhere in their life is that they are have allowed jealousy and pride to be their life's guide. They are consumed by envy of others, especially those they most admire secretly. For example, instead of offering some counter logical argument to Tolan's talk, you are distracted by the fact that I am wearing a suit jacket in my photo. So good luck with life "dude" you're going to need it as you don't seem to be on-track in taking control of your future.
What a load of rambling rubbish. He uses a clickbait headline and offers absolutely no information or thought of any worth. 12:33 - so cringe-inducing it's almost painful!
Tiwaking Tiwaking I'm starting to realise that now. They used to have some good content when they first began, but you're spot on with the Buzzfeed comparison.
The Fearmoths - why would you say this? Because of you I decided to watch it and it was 'very good'. There was NOT the usual self help at all. Why would you call it either rambling or rubbish? What the heck is wrong with you? I would love to smash you in a professional debate. Where are you based? I can travel. I'll hire the local university hall and arrange the marketing. Who are you and i NEED TO smash you in debate. I need to do that.
@@AmericanBrain If your intention is to "smash" someone in a debate, it shows you're very closed-minded and unwilling to consider counter arguments. Nobody gains anything from debates like that. I prefer prefer open-minded conversations from which I can learn and grow.
