Just a heads up for anyone struggling with the same thing: chest 89 became available to me only after completing Both Brains and Brawn quest! Which, in turn, becomes available after completing Unfinished Comedy quest.
Fontaine had a very cohesive flow unlike Sumeru so I have enjoyed 100% it. It took me a while to open that door underground by the checkpoint and completing the clockwork puzzle for the three chests in Meropide.
The cut at 58:42 for chest 82 is quite annoying not gonna lie. Suddenly your gear positions are different without explanation. Otherwise good guide. But please don't cut and edit when it's a tough puzzle.
Such a magical guide. I can come and do a little then come back and pick it up where I left off and when I’m at the end, I can trust my friend to post the next area nd all the chests and things I might miss. Feels good man.
Chest #79 - Complete The remaining "Scenes from Life in Meropide" in the Unfinished comedy World Quest.🙃 There are like 5 more apart from those in the quest itself.
for chest 40, an easy way to get the two strange eels is by killing the top eel first until it coincidence with the bottom eel. by killing one eel, that eel would reset its position while the bottom eel would not.
been stuck doing the wheels in #82 for like half an hour. even though I've got the gears in the exact same positions in the vid, I still can't open the door. Anyone knows why?
The same thing happened to me, just read the thing where you spin the wheels it will show the position the wheel needs to be for all rooms that helped me a lot
It’s easy, put that gear you remove it from inside in right as video then run the machine until that gear you got it from inside point it to center of the machine then stop the machine remove it and run the machine again until you point it the large gear to the door as video and will open
8:56 I got 100% with this one. I was at 98% before starting the video. However, I’m still missing 8 chests for the achievement, so I will probably comeback soon! Thanks as always, love your guides!

thank you, i somehow didnt notice the strange eels at all even though I passed by them a lot lol, and the treasure compass didn't show me anything else.

the only problem i had with this guide is that on the clock like puzzle in meropide abandoned production zone that is not spepby step once you get the first chest from there and got back there and your gears dont match the one you left when entering

I don't get it... for chest 81 my path is blocked even when I have both gears aimed at that door (which took great effort to arrange)... behind the door is a wall. I am at a loss. 😥
