This video introduces you to the basics of rigging and lifting for domestic purposes. A custom-built, simple, wall/railing mountable, portable, manual static-boom DIY hoist is used along with standard rigging and lifting equipment which is readily available in the market.
You'll be introduced to the following equipment and concepts to help you get started in solutioning your own lifting requirements:
1. A custom-built, portable, DIY Static-Boom Hoist
2. Carabiners, a.k.a., spring hooks, snap hooks
3. Load Hook
4. Pulleys and Mechanical Advantage
5. Rope - the line used to apply force to raise or lower a load
6. Polyester Webbing Slings and how to hitch the slings to your load
7. Using a tag line to stabilize a load while lifting or lowering
8. Other safety recommendations
See this setup in action while being used to lift a sintex water tank up to the roof of a building safely.
This setup can of course be generally useful for any type of domestic lifting requirements, like groceries, food and e-commerce packages that get delivered to the ground floor of your building, or moving furniture up or down multiple floors, etc.,.
Disclaimer: The scope of this is for domestic use for small to moderate loads only. I take no responsibility for the outcomes of your actions - please take all recommended precautions and exercise good judgement and make your own decisions.

Nice trick bro. This might come handy for several other things. Although i have some points to add. The weight is distributed to very small portion brick wall which might break if the load is heavy.(in this case, its not) Lifting is super easy with this method but pulling the tank when it reach the top must be difficult. People might not spend this much for just pulling a single tank, but builders can.

Thanks for the feedback Snehal - you're right that it doesn't make sense to invest so much for a one time task, and as you said it would workout for builders (I guess also plumbers and other workers as well). When I built the hoist, my intention was to use it for other purposes as well. It's currently being used in my house to move food and groceries between floors - so I think it could be useful for anyone for moving household things up and down. You're also right about the weight the wall would have to support... The wall that I used to lift this tank seems to be ok for at least 50-60 kgs, but on the other side of the roof there's a concrete (RCC) wall (same thickness) which can go much higher - so whoever is using it would have to use their own best judgement.

I notice you had to pull the load over the side of the rooftop. This could damage the house if the load was a heavy metal gas cylinder. How to hoiat higher to clear the rooftop?

The length of the boom would've had to be much greater to hoist it clear off the edge of the perimeter wall. I wouldn't say this setup is sufficient for something heavier like a metal gas cylinder without some necessary changes made to the design and how it's rigged up. Many more safety measures would've been necessary for a metal gas cylinder.

Hi bro can I lift 5000 ltr tank to 6th floor roof?

Yes Sadiq, it's possible. Just make sure you've secured the tank properly with the slings and make sure to use a tag line to stabilize the tank while lifting.

I agree - parts of the video would've been clearer had the footage been recorded when it was brighter outside. Thanks for the feedback. Will keep it mind for my next one.
