We lifted our VW T4 California with aluminium spacers under the rear spring and tide the nut on the torsion bar in the front. In this video more about why we did it and how.
Thanks for this usefull video . I m thinking to replace springs in my T4 . What do you propose ? Sometimes the payload of my vehicle with passengers can reach 2000 kg. The issue with the original chock absorber is, they may get to short if you lift to much. That is why Seikel is the best option. Also Seikel is more comfortable. I went for Seikel, because after 20years we anyway needed new Springs and chocks. In additon to that the spring was not the heavy duty before.
Of course Seikel is the best option so fat, but we did not had the budget then. As well I'm looking (for the future) of Fox gas absorber, very nice indeed.

From the video it seems they simply screwed up the nut right? while from your description you used a lot of caution in first unscrew/screw it to have it free. Am I wrong?
@@davidebottari I think depends on the situation, our was pretty rusty and dirty, so we used caution in order to not brake it :) so the situation change depends on how is under the van
