Yall keep asking so I might as well address it to clear things up... No, you can't interchange models. Meaning you can't connect a Onyx Studio 7 to a Onyx Studio 8, or a Onyx Studio 3 to a Onyx Studio 7, etc...hope that helps.
Hello, what you guys need to do is to disconnect the other bluetooth connection of the studio 7. There's should only be 1 bluetooth connection established to one phone source then after that press the bluetooth icons for 5 seconds for both so they can connect insync and find each other. Works perfect every time..! 👍🏼 hope this will help.
You just had to disconnect the wifi of your smartphone, or take the OS7 far away of the Wi-Fi network. It seems that the two OS7 in dual sound mode get connected by a Wi-Fi protocol, and others Wi-Fi networks closer with this same protocol can affect negatively the transmission of these two. But it worked fine here, after I simply turn it off the Wi-Fi of my phone.
It works :) Thx. I paired two # 7's together, still getting lag from time to time, noticed you have to keep them relatively close together for less lag. also the further away your phone is can cause this too
Lag occurs mostly if you have both speakers paired to the source. Only the primary is supposed to be paired to ie your phone as the other is paired to the main speaker.
Just bought two of them as they were for sale for €100 and they paired without issues. I'm getting no lag or other issues, hope it stays that way, as they sound great 👌 Shame there is no app support though, so can't modify bass levels etc.. would seem like a reasonable expectation for this price point and considering how easy apps are to make nowadays.
@@FroZenL1Qu1d no problem, u can even set equalizer to your taste and save it assigned to any device, onyx studio. So every time ur device will connect with onyx stuio, equlizer will automaticly set up for onyx studio, if u disconnet,it wil return to basic settings. Amazing app for listening. Blackpool greets you : )
It worked and sounds amazing. Did you figure it out? Im looking to purchase two more. Let me know I'm launching a radio station this week so let's link up!
I linked my speaker as soon as I got it with my iPhone and I have not had to link it again since. This is the first speaker I have had this wonderful experience with and have had many high end speakers.
@@Eccentech I just wanted to say I am sure it is obvious this is my first time posting questions and you responded and then me trying to figure out how to or where to type back. I don't know if this is your video as I read people thanking you for your help and tutorial and I just wanted you to know I appreciate you reaching out to me and I've learned a lot today just reading here when I went to Amazon I needed to try and get to Harmon Carden employees before I bought a second speaker. I will buy one but haven't yet. Again, I'm just trying to say that it's confusing to me how to communicate with someone or post questions here on RU-vid. I don't have my own, RU-vid page for people to subscribe or watch videos, etc. I guess that's about it. It seems that this is probably one of your videos, but I am here to thank you for reaching out to me.
I had the same issue as you with two Studio 5s. Since I couldn't get it resolved, I decided to keep one and return the other. I really wish they would have worked correctly together in stereo mode, and it's really disappointing that Harman kardon hasn't fixed the issue by now.

HK website says, “Please make sure that the speakers are far away from other wireless devices to avoid interference. Battery level shouldn't be low.” I wonder what happens if you move them 10 or 12 feet away from each other.

I just bought my second Onyx 7 and got them to pair 1X and sound great. Today with 1 speaker connected to Bluetooth and WiFi, when pressing me Bluetooth icon on each at same time can't get them to pair. That was exactly how I did it last night. Also, this may sound stupid, but if I disconnect them from Wi-Fi or the speaker that is connected, will my music use "data" and cost extra money? I don't have a manual or a box? is there another way to do this? Thank you.
You know you would have read all the info you said you didn’t know just from reading the manual. Literally on the box it says Wireless Dual Sound. And it says the same thing on HK’s website.
I have 2 hk studios a 1 and a 2. I can not connect. I am in the market to buy something I can pair both speakers with. Like you, I did research and even brought a transmitter. Did not work. HELP, PLEASE.
Does linking the pair of Onyx 7's play music in stereo or just play louder music? I am about to buy a second speaker if I know I will get stereo sound when connecting them. Thanks.
I saw video to connect 1 speaker to your Bluetooth, then press both Bluetooth buttons simultaneously and hold them down for about five seconds and they should pair.
@@Eccentech... Thanks! I don't think you are supposed to hook them up to different sources. I wrote my response in the wrong place as saw a video where you hook up one speaker to your phone or iPad or whatever and then you down the Bluetooth button on both speakers for five or seven seconds, and that should be it. I'll try and get that up at the top but I actually ordered a second speaker today and it will be here tomorrow. I'm going to be really bummed out if it doesn't work.
@@Eccentech Accidentally deleted your last reply from my email. so I went to Amazon where I purchased my Onyx 7 and I wrote out my question asking if a second onyx seven could be paired with a first one and get stereo sound. I got an instant answer telling me yes. I am fairly sure the answer was from Harmon Carden. So I am going to order a second speaker and just pray that it doesn't have problems cutting out like I have seen in the videos. If you are interested, I can let you know, but will probably be at least a week or 10 days. Thank you for your email and wanting to help me. I will be checking out your videos. Blessings.🎵🎶
I notice my two Onyx 7's lose sync and one lags with the music.... I am able to sync them like you did, and it starts playing but the second Onyx 7 starts lagging the music. Pretty much so bad I just turn the sync off. Any suggestions? I picked up the Onyx 7's from Amazon.
Não poderá. As novas gerações da HK só funcionam com no máximo duas unidades para dar o efeito stereo. As antigas HK aceitavam até cem unidades porque apenas replicavam o sinal (por protocolo próprio) e não havia a feature stereo.
I will stick with the studio 4. K it tm has its own dedicated link button rather than using the Bluetooth button. If you have to disconnect the wifi then it's m it isn't worth it. Sticking with the studio 4
My question is assuming 2 Onyx 7's are connected and do not cut out, will it be like a full stereo sound with the speakers separated several feet, or will it simply be louder music having them both connected? By any chance does anybody have the phone number for Harmon Kardon so I can find out as I have seen several videos where once 2 7's are connected they cut out. I was ready to buy the clips 3+ until I came upon this onyx seven and it is the best speaker I have ever heard. Thank you so much , and if I can call, I will come back and let you and everyone know what they had to say. Blessings to all!
Sounds like you have the speaker then. It sounds so good. I was set to buy the new. Klipsch speaker but something kept stopping me as the reviews weren't really great like the ones for the onyx seven. Anyway, I'm going to try and get what I saw on another video at the top so he sees it and maybe can try. Thanks again for your help.
Won't work for me. Main speaker connected to pgone. Other no connection. Held down bluetooth buttons, they just blink rapidly in paring mode on both speakers and never connects.
yeah I've had all of the studios in the beginning I think the studio 3 or four I'm not sure if you could connect multiple I had four of them going at once I've got the studio 5 and 6 I got four speakers but you can only pair two at a time they don't Daisy link anymore what's really sucks and pisses me off
Antigamente sim. Eu mesmo fiz algumas vezes (charge 3 + Flip 4 + Onyx 4) para festas em casa Contudo, para os novos modelos, a JBL/HK modificou o software e impediu o pareamento.
@@Eccentech number 7’s but I finally got it the instructions he gave on pairing them was not right entirely but I figured it out after 30 min of trying it his way
@@Eccentech in the video during the pairing process the way you barely touched the Bluetooth button didn’t work for me what I discovered after watching other videos there are 2 levels of the pairing process first level is pairing to your device second is pairing them to each other they both need to be in the hard pairing mode to find each other which is pressing and holding the Bluetooth button until the light blinks fast on both devices and then my 2 speakers were connected
Onyx 7 is by far the biggest piece of junk HK ever released. Totally unreliable to pair. Sometimes it works sometimes not. sometimes the sound is glitching and lagging even the speakers are close to each other and the phone. Also they can be difficult to turn off, just keeps restarting. Avoid is my recommendation
