My fave Y coordinate in the nether for creating a network is Y 17. It's below the lava seas 99.9% of the time and I often come across ancient debris. The only downside is it connects to about the same Y level in the overworld so I have to create bubble paths to get to and from the surface, but it's not s big deal. (OTOH, it's nice for quickly getting down to the Ancient Cities.) Also a Bedrock-only feature is you can use the overworld maps in the nether and as you move in the nether the map will show where you are in the overworld so you can use that to position new portals. Also remember - portals need to be 1024 overworld/128 nether blocks apart (at least on Bedrock) otherwise they link to the nearest one instead of creating a new one.

My personal preference is to hub at lvl 10. That way, you encounter netherite as your path, and it's below oceans. Statistically, you should have found 10-20 netherite when you made your hallway had you done it low. Also, if you have crossroads at say 0 10 0 (or any number you can remember) and you get lost you can just go back to a 0 coord and dig down to the tunnel to get home. It also makes it easy to tunnel back when you find a fortress, bastion, or biome you want to return to.

Riddle answer: Simmons the wither. The wither is made of things from the nether, and as explained on the channel Wifies, the many rib fossils in the nether can likely be remnants of ancient withers.

Hey wattles for the tinted glass trick, a great idea and color scheme for the nether portal would be instead of pink and magenta, be orange and yellow and have the "floor block" be pure lava so it looks like the glass looks like the "fumes" the lava is emitting

Step 1. Build home portal, devide coordinates by 8, spawn in nether, re build that portal in those coordinates, Keep those coordinates written down so you can find it later. that's your nether home portal set. Step 2. Once you find a spot in the normal world you wish to re visit, build a portal there, divide those coordinates by 8, travel to nether, you'l likely spawn in your nether home portal (if its randomly generated then destroy it, otherwise ignore it) now go find those coordinates and build your new portal there. It should end up being relatively close to your nether home portal You now have 1 "doorway" connected to your far destination in close proximity to your nether home portal, connect via railway ect, (reason you need to write down the nether home portal coordinates) Repeat step 2 to create more "doorways" to other areas of your world and soon youl have a simple nether hub. Incase this helps anyone because I was lost asf.

I’m pretty sure portal linking is mainly just getting the overworld coordinates and dividing them by 8. The y level stays the same.

Actually, nether portals and elytra aren’t fastest way to travel. If you swim in a tunnel with max enchanted shoes (depth strider actually) and you have dolphins by the way to give you effect, you’ll be much more quick

I also go to the nether floor for my portals. that way when you connect them you may find ancient debris

So annoying that on bedrock the glass block outlines don’t blend like they do on Java so the “fog” effect just doesn’t work. Makes me sad

I think it’d look wayyy better if you went in the ground and make the blocks surrounded the 2nd and bottom layer of like a dark block. It’d make it so much better
