A 2-year-old video that is still very helpful. And better yet. You are highly responsive and I am going through your comments to get help from other people's questions and I appreciate all of your work. Thank you! Now to watch some other newbie videos of yours.😊
@@AliciaRafiei there is a direct link to the number of subscribers to the amount of posts replied to. I can't find the algorithm. Meaning active channels get more and keep more subscribers . Also they get them quicker. The downside is that enthusiastic channels owners 'burn out' sooner than those whom are not. Answering repetitively the same 'ol questions does have an effect long term.
@@AliciaRafieithanks for this video. Can you explain how to add variations of digital products? I have prints I want to sell in different sizes but I can’t see a variations option? Or do just upload them all in the upload files? Thanks
SO HELPFUL!!! You were so clear and to the point, I just started selling digital art on Etsy and this was the perfect tutorial to show me exactly what to do!! THANK YOU for going over everything I could've needed to know!!!!
Very good tutorial. Getting ready to provide my first digital file listing and this was helpful. I noticed this is 2 years old so it will be interesting if anything looks differently 2 years later.
Oh yeah...Been looking for ways to do this. Thanks for sharing. I'm actually planning to launch my coaching business soon. I hope to be able to list it on many platforms including Etsy. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi there! Thank you so much for your informative videos, i love how easily i can understand you. Please help me understand the sizes for different wall arts, such as nursery wall art… i am from Europe and i don’t understand the ratio thing, and also how many sizes are needed… i really don’t understand the whole size thing. I am new to this… i just listed my first digital product on etsy yesterday, and such video would help me a lot. Many thanks🙏🏻🤗
Hey, just one question, you wrote $6.5 price and in the end it comes as 7.15. Why is that so? I would like to say that you made an amazing video. Lovely to watch and very helpful.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the video. To answer your question, Etsy will automatically add the relevant taxes to the listing price based on your location. So in my case, here in Australia we have to apply a GST amount of 10% to each product. The ex. GST amount is $6.50, add the 10% GST of 0.65c and the final price including GST is therefore $7.15 Hope this helps :)
Hi Alicia, thanks for you great tutorial, I have a question, the 300dpi resolution fit all the sizes that you mention from 4"x5" to 24"x36" ? and for ratio is a different file that I need to create? .....Little confused how to handle that part.... thanks
Great tutorial! Still wondering though, via what platform do you send the file over to the customer? If it’s email, how do I get the customers email, plus I might make the customer wait. Is it an automated system that does that for you? Very confused about that part. Please help!
Hi Diana. Etsy will automatically send your files directly to the customer once the payment has been confirmed... so no need to worry about it in this scenario. However, if you are creating a custom digital file (i.e a customised art print) then I would send the files directly to the customer via their email address. This can be found in the customer details section of the confirmed purchase.
Hey alicia, Thank you for sharing this valuable information with us. I'm planning to sell my first digital activity book for kids in etsy. Can you please help me on which are the things that i should more focus on selling digital prints.
You're most welcome, Alfik. Great to hear that you're ready to create your first digital product on Etsy. I don't have any experience with creating or selling activity books for kids, but the principles for selling on Etsy would be the same for most digital products. I would start by checking out some of the other helpful videos I have here on my channel and then use this as inspiration for your own Etsy shop - perhaps start with this playlist here: ru-vid.com/group/PLM0jO-Nm6EW5bLWSHazG0F2GNABTlIqgZ Good luck 😉
Hello there Nidhi! For my Etsy shop, I like to offer my digital print files in a few different size ratios 2:3, 3:4, 4:5 and paper sizes that way the print will fit almost any frame. Check out my Etsy shop, within the product description you'll find more detail on the sizing I offer my customers: www.etsy.com/shop/overthemoonprintsco
This was so helpful! But I keep running into one speed bump. I'm trying to upload my first listing and it's asking for shipping information and I can't find a video that covers that part of the listing! I made sure to check off that this is a digital download and not a tangible item. Can anyone help me with this part?? Thanks In advanced.
Great video! I was wondering how I could add variations to a digital listing, as I'm thinking of offering designs in multiple colors. Am I going to have to create a single listing for each color?
Hello! Thanks for watching and glad you liked the video. Unfortunately, Etsy doesn't allow the feature to offer variations to digital products (such a bummer) so unfortunately the only workaround for now is to upload single listings for each colour/type/style. Good luck :)
Great video, thank you. Can you please tell me the difference between Custom Orders and Personalization? Why would I check one and have the other turned off?
Custom order would be when you are going to create the item from scratch. Let's say you sell logo designs - then you would need to collect certain information from the customer to design the custom logo. Personalisation would be if you have an item with different variations. For example, if you sold art prints in different colours you could use this function to create a drop down of items that your customer could choose from. Hope this helps. 😊
You mentioned various ratios of your art in that video...But could you pls say how did you make different ratios...pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls
Hi! Love youre video. Can I ask what I choose from the question when listening a digital item on Etsy by using public domains photos? Since I dont directly made the photo by myself, what will be the correct anwser? Thanks!
Great video!!! I keep getting the error on my uploaded thumbnail recommending a certain size..how do I upload the correct size or will the average size still work 8x10 is what I created in canva. Any help will be appreciated thanks so much ❤
Great video n tips. But how do you add variations to the digital option for different sizes n prices?? The variation only is listed under physical shipments..I use physical to add variations. But not sure how to send the digital prints to customer in the complete order section??? Pls advise?
Hello there. Unfortunately not. I tested it out to see if you can upload a digital item using the app and it seems you're only able to list physical products at this time.
Can you do a video on how to upload your PowerPoint templates in one file PDF and compress it into a zip file. And where do you put the privacy information? Thank you it was a very good video.
Hi Jo, thank you for your request. I do have a video that includes the "how-to" create a PDF document that is sent to customers once a template has been purchased. The link below will take you to the exact moment in the video where I explain how I create the PDF document, save it and then send it to the customer. Hope this helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Mh83Zr9IZA.html
Great video!! Still have doubt as soon as this list will be online Etsy it’s gonna charge .20 fee 100 times or you’ll be charged .20 each time they restock (and this one will restock 100 times automatically?) thanks
Hi Valentina. So you will only ever get charged once you either sell the individual listing or you renew the listing (manually or automatically). Etsy will never charge you for all 100 items (unless you sell 100 of them 😉)
can you include a video hw to do first educational list? my picture listings says 2000 pixel wide recommended how i fix that? how or how i make and where to include the file version like png, fdp,?where do i fix the measures of the picture can you explain that where we go to create that?
When you make your digital printable you save it as a .png file but in this video the zip file has .jpg files…. Do I have to change the files to .jpg in canva and make a zip folder if larger then 20 mb to upload to Etsy
For the quantity… if the max you can do is 999, and you put 100… does the listing renew at 100 and you’re charged 20 cents for the listing every 100 sales instead of 999??
You are charge a listing fee every time you sell a product. So it doesn't really matter what number you put into the quantity section (for digital products).
Love this, thank you so much. I have a question, I tried all this steps but at the and is asking questions about shipping? How come since it is a digital item? Please help :)
Hi, thank you for the video, I created a printable, do you think I can sell it in the png format? I've a zip file and I'll upload it, or is it better PDF? (I've problems with pdf just because they are editable, you can copy and paste the content).
Hello there. Generally for printables, PDF is best. Perhaps add a copyright notice or terms of use licence agreement to your product description to deter people from copying your content.
Hi, thank you for such a clear and comprehensive video. I do have a question . . . When I purchase a digi from one of my fave shops, they don’t show a quantity pull down but rather have “add to cart” or “buy it now” options. How would I do that? Thx in advance. Sandy
Can I ask what size you use to upload? because mine is very blurry, and i tried different sizes, such as following etsy's recommendation 2000px wide at least
is it possible to do both digital and physical with the same listing? I was thinking I sell the poster file as digital along with the usual posters im already selling.
Yes you can! You'll just wan to duplicate the listing and change it to either a physical item/digital item. Be sure to change up the description to make it clear to the customer what they'll be receiving.
@@AliciaRafiei i mean within the exact same listing. dont think that is possible because etsy gives you option for either digital or psysical. guess copying works too..but I have like 5k designs lol..gonna start with whatever already sold I guess
Hi Alicia, thank you for a great tutorial. I wonder if instead of a zip file I can put a PDF or WORD file with a link to my drive folder. thank you so much !
You're most welcome. I get all my background/pattern graphics from Creative Market. I recently purchased this bundle and it's AMAZING! creativemarket.com/juliabrnv/6423303-Unique-Pattern-Bundle?u=AliciaRafiei
You said in previous comments that for the ratios you always make the prints the biggest size in the ratio, does that mean you create prints for say ratio 4:5 a 16inch x 20inch and then in the listing say the other sizes in inches they can download the print in that ratio?
Yep, that's right. I try and create the prints in the biggest size possible for each ratio. That way the quality will remain high at any size the customer decides to print at.
Hello I’m new to this I know this is a year old video my question is when you upload your 1st digital item and instructions should it be in a JPEG or PNG format and when u upload the image to your customers should that b PDF for the people? I’m a little confused
It depends what you are selling. For digital prints, you want to offer your customers PDF or JPEG files and for the instructions work best as a PDF file.
I would add it to your product descriptions and also in the "Message to Buyers for Digital Items" section. You can find this in the settings within your Etsy sellers dashboard.
Please how should I upload the image itself ? I mean I am selling a digital photo and there is the option of save photo on Etsy so what is prevent any one to take the photo without paying ?
hey great video thank you ! Do you know maybe where to find mockups for coloring pages for KDP? And how about the keywrods here, are they super important for digital products? Also does etsy charge me some money after customer purchasing? Thx a lot!
For the mockups, try Creative Market creativemarket.com/?u=AliciaRafiei For the keywords, SEO and searchable keyword phrases are important to include in all Etsy listings, regardless of the type of product. It's Etsy's way of determining what you're selling and who to show your products to. Etsy has multiple fees and charges, you can learn more about them here: help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115014483627-What-are-the-Fees-and-Taxes-for-Selling-on-Etsy-?segment=selling Hope this helps!
Hello, During uploading files it keep showing filename error, tour filename must be 70 character limits. But filename is small than 20 words still it showing error! What to do now to upload a file?
That's very strange. There shouldn't be any uploading limits in regards to the file name, only the file size. Perhaps try refreshing your browser to see if that fixes the problem.
