This is an excellent video. Most operators abuse on road trucks by dumping each bucket and severely overloading trucks. Many need to remember the truck driver is responsible for the load when he hits the road.
😂 I feel for ya man loading with a little digger!!! Feels like it takes forever. Good video man👍 it’s sucks loading blind, I’m tearing out concrete road right now loading trucks that are sitting above me and it suuuuuuucks!!! Dot has been harassing the crap out of us so I been loading real light and it takes twice as long lol, good job explaining how we operate in the blind people don’t have any idea how hard our job really is sometimes.
The same technique I use when loading trucks. Loading from front to back will allow the dirt to slide apart as it gets dumped. vers loading back to front the dirt will come out as one big lump fast and hard. gigity.
I just bought a used 10 ton excavator and took delivery. And I just found your channel a few days ago. Lots of great tips/info thank you. I cannot wait to get to the farm and start messing around.
@@DieselandIron I will thank you. Right now I know nothing from nothing, Just what Live gleaned from youtubes by excavator guys over the last couple of years, but I'm sure I'll have some questions after a month on the machine tearing up the farm. I will say that I've seen lost of work done with them, and it's never boring, but there are only a couple channels I've seen that take the time to educate other than repair/maintenance issues. That's important for sure too. So thanks again, we'll be talking.
I totally agree with starting from the front. I've always loaded them like that and if it's me and another excavator loading the on roads always try to get me to load them. They say it rides better because the load is even across the trailer
The other benefit is if you don't have enough to complete the load at least the weight is centered over the drives of the tractor which will provide more traction and will create a more stable load going down the road
@@mackenziepeek9317 I can't tell you how much I appreciate this compliment! I used to watch an operator as a kid that I had that exact thought about and it became my goal to be that kind of an operator. Thank you so much for the feedback!
I have a stupid question. I get loaded in a Komatsu 400hm. When the excavator loads me he tends to push down on the load. Is that wise? Can it cause stress on the hydraulics of the truck? Or is it not really putting pressure if the bed isn't raised?
It's not putting stress on the hydraulics because the dump bed is lowered, but it is putting extra stress on the frame. It's generally frowned upon to pack the load in.
Front to back also allows you to hide the big chunks of concrete and rubbish at the back to slide out first and get covered with the rest of the load 🤣🤣😅😉🫢
Had to load some 8" (limestone?) gabien the other day. This video would have helped alot but im only now watching it. Thankfully i was naturally.loading the trucks front to back but the trucks were on a grade above me. Really pushed my skills as an operator at this time. The feel is important, and messing up is part of it sometimes. Cheers.
You hit on such a good point. Pushing your limits and testing yourself as an operator is critical to continuing to hone your craft. Operators that get complacent or throw a fit whenever they run up against a challenge are no longer improving their skills. Thanks for the comment!
good video once again brotha 🦾 some people load on road trucks like there off-road & not thinking of the truck drivers being accountable for it & what case model Excavator is that ? & are you eventually able to do a case equipment review of wheel loaders excavators skids backhoe etc been looking at case brand & can’t find really any reviews & also since you have prior knowledge of being there’s sales rep
Hey Jay! This was a CX130 on this job. Great machine with a lot of speed. I'm slowly working my way through the Case lineup. I don't want to overwhelm the channel with nothing but reviews!
