R packages are the backbone of R programming language. The strength of R lies in its packages.
R packages consists code, documentation and examples. When you download R from CRAN server, it comes with 30 pre-installed packages. However, if you are working on very specific analysis - say time series analysis on financial data, then you may like to download a package catering to your specific need.
There are more than 15000 packages available on CRAN. You don't need to learn all of them, just handful of those 10-15 packages required for your domain of work would be sufficient. In the last video, we installed the package in R.
