I have a quick release one and one day I forgot my helmet was still strapped on when I tried to pull it and the thing just gave way, that gave me chills. I don’t know how safe this system is in comparison with the old fashion d-ring. I think my next helmet gonna be with d-ring because i lost my trust in the new quick strapping system.
There's a very good video by the channel Fortnine that shows why DD is the most safe - Basically Double D ring is the only mechanism where strap failure happens before buckle failure. Whereas in quick release the buckle breaks firstm

safer to strap it on head but can also cause big injury like decapitation it should release at a certain force. l just saw a vid on theync about it a tire came loose from a car and hit his head. s

It's too much work and time consuming. This isn't supposed to be like this. On some days we need to take off the helmet quite a few times within a short amount of time. Bas isi mein lage rahenge?
this lock type is so pathetic, i have a bell star mips helmet with this stone age type of lock, i regret so bad, but thanks for trying to help people but i still want to throw it into the fireplace.
It's pathetic that you bought safety equipment when you clearly don't need one, this is the safest system, used in MotoGP, it's to be expected that a keyboard rider I think it's bad to have to use something "archaic".

The WORST evolution in motorsycle helmets ! Many helmet makers have quickly jumped on this "safeer" system, but not many will tell - why they REALLY do it. And it's simply, because thie double D-ring is FAR CHEAPER for them to make, comparing to a Quick release, while they still can damand same price for the helmets. Problem is - people keep on buyng ! 🤢
@@bepriceless that's a pretty rediculous point. The d strap isn't obvious to a new rider with no experience and if you aren't told on your cbt how would you know.
