I used water to emergency lock mirror in hotel apartment last holidays. It was old, wierd mirror with something watching from it. I used very simple sigil and it worked for all three days. But if I have it, I'll use alcohol based herbal extract to draw sigils on glass - when it dries it becomes invisible :)
I was taught to use a wet finger and draw a symbol of protection on the mirror and command the mirror to close in the name of whatever deity you like. I was also taught a universal protection symbol would be the Cho Ku Rei symbol from Reiki because the symbol can be used by anyone and it will always work.
I wish I had this concise video years ago when I decided to put three large mirrors in my bedroom. Two of them face each other and it’s always made me uneasy. I opted for putting sigils on tape and sticking the tape to the back of the mirror. When it comes time to cleanse my room I can remove the tape sigil and put a new one on the back. I do the same for my front door. It’s discreet and no one see it.

My grandad loved me and I him but there was something not right with that TV. It was OK when it was switched on but when it was off I could feel eyes watching me through the screen. With watching this video it's just made me think about this experience. This was before any of my witchcraft so I had no idea at the time so as soon as I could afford another TV I got one. Now years later I'm a Wiccan Witch and my favourite thing to do is Scrying. I don't like using mirrors as they are way too deep if that makes sense. I prefer water or my Crystal. It's thanks to my Scrying that saw an amazing ouroborrus moving clockwise that was the last sign to get the message through to start working with Hekate. Such good tips and suggestions! As a child I grew up in a home where the main hallway of the home had a mirror facing the entrance, a mirror facing down the hall, then the bathroom mirror facing towards that hallway, and then there was a mirror in my bedroom that shared the wall of that hallway (basically, a boxed hall of mirrors). It definitely made for very strong liminal space! Luckily my mother figured it out and locked all of the mirrors in that area.
I keep a stash of sticky notes with sigil on it, and use it as energy sticker when I arrive a new place(like hotels or holiday stay with relatives), when it’s time to leave I simply collect and count the sticky notes. I kept it at the amount of magic number of mine, just to make it extra magical.
Had a strange dream about mirrors and Tv’s as gates and that evil spirits were attacking me. Strangely, I’ve not been one to dabble in dark arts but have grown curious as things I can’t explain have started happening. In the dream I met a woman and felt safe in her house as her tv’s and mirrors were locked. Long story short I decided to do some research on the topic and was drawn here. Topic near and dear to my heart! Since my very active feng shui days, I've feared mirrors--they're just holy hell. When I'm in a hotel (I don't like hotel rooms) I cover the mirrors with sheets, towels, blankets or anything. I really hate mirrored closet doors. Ugh. At home I only have 2 bathroom mirrors above sinks, but I will now lock them a la Hearth. The technique of using the opposite side is a feng shui basic--sometimes prescribed for offices in which your "neighbor" annoys the crap out of you, is dishonest, etc. You use a small mirror and attach it to the wall with the mirror surface facing the other office, then hang a picture or poster, perhaps a peg board to cover it up. Voila. (It's like saying "Stay the hell out of my life!)
Very similar to my usual method. I can't remember when I created my mirror locking sigil it was so many years ago. Ive used different things to draw with including moon water, oil, and invisible ink.
I’m so grateful for this video. I have a mirror that came from an unhappy household and has an icky feel to it. I’m hoping that locking it stops that, as it is part of my antique bedroom set from my great grandparents. The rest of the set feels fine, it’s just the mirror that feels off.

Excellent video, as always! I have searched for videos on this and there aren't many available. I have had a.very scary experience with something that came through and a friend had something similar. Since at the time I knew nothing about locking mirrors...wasn't a practitioner then...I asked Archangel Michael to protect the space and keep anything from coming through. Also thoroughly saged the entire apartment.
I spray the mirror with water infused with ashes from burnt incenses while I say a small spell that i wrote myself. then i have a pointy crystal, (actually the first crystal i ever bought in my life) and i tap in the center of the mirror visualizing the mirror freezing with a light, I call it frozen light. You can try it! For me it works.
I wish I found this channel YEARS ago. I've had night terrors, spirits, amunwantrd astral projection & chaotic energy in my bedroom because of the two mirrors in there. They always made my uneasy but they opened up my room (open to everything & everywhere!). I have moved them out of the room now but I'm wondering if covering them at night is as effective as locking it?

Thank you. I've never heard of locking a mirror.. I use smoke to cleanse and work with runes almost daily. So I would make a protection rune for my mirror drawn with a protection oil
My Momma always told us not to hang any mirrors on outside walls of the house (like walls with windows) because the backs would face outdoors & spirits from outside could get in. I still only hang them on interior walls so the backs face other rooms within the house.

I veil my mirror with a silk cloth I have spritzed with a protection water I made. I also have a small general protection sigil taped on the mirrors corner. It seems to have been affective and there is no longer any activity
You can use the same technique, though it may not be as strong when the window or door is open. Mostly because it could be seen as a period of time where you permit entry, so you may need to tweak the working to suit.
P.s. I lock the big mirror in my house with agua florida, drawing a cross on the very top of it with agua florida, after it is phisically and metaphisically been cleansed. Also: I keep it behind a door that opens directly on it: A mirror is a door as should be treated as such, opened only when necessary and immediately closed after. I found, as a person who suffered with eating disorders in the past, that they can lead into the darkest corners of your mind and trap you in them. Nooooo good 😅

This is something I have not heard before actually, I have heard the term liminal space before but don't know much about them. I am interested in scrying though. Also just wondered if you had any advice if you were finding it difficult to progress in your craft due to just stress and anxiety? Bought my first couple of starter books last year and I was so excited to start on my path but due to my mental health my progress has been dissapointingly slow. I just wondered if you or anyone else has had any advice, there are a lot of things I want to try but I need to get past this mental hurdle first and make time for my practice in my life.
I wonder if this could work for TV screens as well. In my experience, they can also be used as portals especially during livestream broadcasts at the moment it is playing on the TV.
Had a mirror face another and I saw and heard a reptile female brushing her hair. She saw me as well. Had trouble moving mirror off contact with the other mirror. Originally it was light became heavy. Freaky.

My friend is an artist and there is this popular artist that is doing this to her we saw the other artist used the name liminal in her pictures that she took from my friend. These people are doing horrible things just to be in the spotlight. I think it may be a mirror that is letting them in. Mt friend has a closet mirror and one in the bathroom but her mom has several so we may have to try to used this method to lock them all.

Many years ago i made the exercise in one big mirror, amd then i can see a shadow men so i was scared!!! That was awfull, i always feel (even i was a child) that somebody is seeing me, but then with exercise i feel something differente. Then i meet the previous experience. And i think that should be a way to protect that. Sobody told me with obsidian it is better, because they (the other side) can not passaway to our side. That is correct? Anybody knows that?

How dose locking a mirror help with retuning negative energy to someone that leaves your home. I have always been told to keep a mirror by the door so if someone with negative intentions come in they can leave with it.
I've been using a dry erase marker to write my sigils on my bathroom mirror and using smoke and sound to charge and cleanse. Is this an effective practice or should I do something differently?
i completely agree about windows being portals as well based on "dreams" i've had. but, as someone born with gifts (i don't identify as a witch) i have seen that windows are symbolic. i like to keep my windows open as much as possible. idk why, but it feels right to me.
Sorry, I didn't understand one thing well, so if I have to use a mirror for a ritual and therefore remove the block, there is no risk that some unpleasant presence comes from the mirror or the precautions taken during the ritual are sufficient to protect even the mirror that is used?! There's a old Southern Tradition.. After a death in the house , a Black Cloth would be placed over a mirror ...This keeps the spirit of the deceased from entering the house
