You need to keep a roster/diary when claiming the 0.8$ wfh as people love to report that they work 39.5h wfh but in fact were working in the offices for half this time. The ATO will audit this as they are aware of people pulling dodgies. Same goes for travel expenses. Log books are required. Especially if you are claiming for travel expenses (during a pandemic) + wfh. Helpful video! Thanks!
@@CanDBawa Hi just one question more can we claim fuel if we work on tax. Mosty I tried to search for it everyone say we cannot claim. We can only claim if went for second job from the workplace
Thank you so much brother to make it simple for us. Please upload a video how to lodge uber GST by ourselves and BAS statements. Thank you. Keep up good work bro
Just did my lodge and the estimate sucked looked up how to do it better for next time and now I see there’s deductions I could of claimed but never have, really love that for me
thanks for the walk-through - going to be having a go at it this year - i'm paying +$200 for spending 15-20 min while the H&R person is doing nothing more than entering my basic information and I just don't see the value
I just wanna thank you for this video… I wanna do Menulog but when I found out I’d have to manually do my own taxes the thought scared the crap out of me.. but if all I gotta do is report the total earned then I think I will be right
No doubt it's a quick, DIY Tax and a lot more. The taxation process elaborated very well and warned of bad practices where ATO can charge you a certain amount of penalties and fines. This video is a super tax video as do your tax yourself but if you still remain confused and need a professional tax company support with Tax Return Accountant help to lodge your individual tax return, business tax return, or sole trader tax return, do follow The Kalculators in Adelaide, South Australia for instant tax matters support. The Kalculators Tax Return Services are cheap and affordable with maximum entitlement you can claim and maximize your tax refunds - Thanks for reading and thumbs up to the video artist for such a knowledgeable video.
I have two questions: - Can I claim a police clearance check I had to obtain for my employment? - Is there any way I can keep recording expenses throughout the year as they happen instead of doing it all in one go during the refund period?
Hey, unfortunately you can’t claim the police check fees in your tax return. The ATO app has an option to track all your deductions throughout the financial year. You can log your car’s kms too.
Recommend turning the music in your videos down a bit to make it easier to hear you and focus on your voice when you're guiding us through these things
Please make a video on how to file the tax return if an individual is working and doing uber eats as part time. This type of video is not available on RU-vid as per my search
Why would you do it yourself ? The cost associated with producing a tax return is tax deductible so why not consult an expert and maximise your return?
Most people doing their tax returns themselves through this video are young professionals and first timers. Their tax returns are simple and straightforward, therefore why would they pay a tax agent to ask them to provide the information that ATO very clearly asks for on their website and just type it in for them. The cost is deductible next year but if you deduct $100 you get like $30 back (if you are in the 30% tax bracket). Being deductible means that it reduces your taxable income, it doesn’t mean you get all the money back.
Hey I’m 16 and trying to access ato but everytime I press the link to access the Ato it always says error has occurred and can’t go further. Please help

I acquired a laptop necessary for work purposes. Could you please advise on the process for claiming this expense via MYGOV? There appears to be a lack of accessible information for the general public regarding the procedure for claiming work-related expenses, unless one operates a business, in which case there is guidance available. Could you kindly provide instructions on how to upload receipt proof of purchase to facilitate claiming work-related expenses as an employee?
Hi.. I am a PR I have a Medicare account and all my GP expenses ate covered. I don't have any private health insurance. Now what should I fill in Medicare levy exemption .?? Please advise
I'm honored to have this team *CyberAgency* around me in this hard time, thank you always supporting and helping me to get Bitcoin easily, I really appreciate..🙏🙏
Good information is shared for any beginner. Do you have an idea how to claim the zone tax offset? Let's say I live in Zone A (remote area). Can you put a video on this as well? Appreciate.
Hello brother im applying for fall 2022 in Australia as an undergraduate student, do bring a video for how new students can get a job and earn their tuition fees! Please
What about the MES option, the private health insurance money which you get paid after sending certified copy of your passport and Mes form. When do we complete that section filling private health insurance details?
My question is say you sell a property or get interest from a savings account, how and when do you pay taxes for that income? Do you pay before or after you file a return?
Do I need to lodge my tax return as a non-resident currently living in Madrid? I don’t have any income from Australia. What about my mum? She’s also a non-resident, but she has a property in her name that she is renting out, so she is making money from it.
Great video, simple to follow and understand. Just regarding the Medicare Statement, do we need to get it prior to lodging the tax return or is it okay if we get it later if needed? Also, do we need to input our private insurance cover in there?
Most people I know never get it. It is advised that you get it before lodging but I haven’t seen anyone do that. If you are not eligible for Medicare, then there is no need to input your private insurance details.
Nice video. Just a quick question. I own a house and pay repayments and rates. But my wife runs a small home based salon in a dedicated room in the house. Can she claim the mortgage interest and portion of rates paid in her tax return? I am the sole title holder and she is the sole proprietor of the business. Thanks
Informative video, thanks! In the event you have to pay money back to the tax office, will you be able to retrieve the PRN (payment reference number) in the system so you can pay your tax bill online, or can you pay with your bank card when you submit the online tax return? Also, generally how quickly is the PRN issued and how many days have you got until you have to pay the tax bill?
To link my gov to ATO I have to share 2 secrets with them. Only problem is the way to access those secrets is by linking my gov to ATO. So I can't find the two secrets I need to link them together, BECAUSE I CAN'T LINK THEM TOGETHER. Sickening stuff.
You can't claim $300 in clothing expenses without a receipt when you have other expenses such as working from home even if you don't have any expenses you can't claim the $300 automatically in the clothing expenses. Registered Tax Agent
Thanks mate for this great vid! I'm just wondering, coz I started my part time work last April (as an international student), so when should I lodge this tax return? Thanks in advance
Hi In medicare section if I choose yes on (MLS) section it asks for insurance details and if i choose No then it says it says you may have to pay medicare levy surcharge Then there is option saying Number of days you do not have to pay surcharge
Before that section there should be 3 categories listed, if you are an international student or temporary resident then you fall in category 3. I.e you do not have to pay Medicare levy or surcharge. Below you can choose no to MLS and 365 in the days for full exemption. Below it will say that do you have Medicare exemption statement, just say yes.
My estimated Tax refund keeps saying $0.00 owing ATO i'm not sure, will i be getting the Taxable amount shown after calculated or i will get nothing ?? please respond as soon as you can Thank you(really confused )
Hello. it's been quite a long time since you uploaded a new video.I was wondering how are you doing? I don't know whether you'll reply to this or but I wanted to know your views on choosing a regional area vs Melbourne in Australia while studying. I'll probably do a course in health care field. I've heard that it is not too hard to get pr in medical field. I wanna live in Melbourne but worried about living expenses of this place.I wanted to know whether Melbourne is actually really expensive compared to others cities like Adelaide etc. or not.
Hey, The benefit of choosing a regional area to study is that you get 5 more points towards your PR. Right now it is not tough to get a PR in the medical field but things can change. I suggest you come to Melbourne as there are much more opportunities here as compared to regional areas. Melbourne is not very expensive and you can find something for every budget.
Thanks for helpful information. One question, suppose I fill all the information and check how much ato will pay, but don’t want to click on final submit button and wanted some Tax agent to file my return . Is that possible?
Hi I found paid leave amount as income in my income statement which made my income very big.actually I did not get that paid leave amount.could you tell me what should I do
