Great video highlighting the difference in pendulum technique. I like the blooper reel too. You should add more of these. Your form looked good. You pulled w/ the left arm & didn’t collapse. Sami looked good as well. Sami has come a long way since he started using a bait caster.
I’m surprised you didn’t include the OTG Nick. In a fishing situation it is possibly a bit shorter than a Pendulum but its benefit is that its easier to do and more bait friendly than the other 4 casts. Good video tho, always love watching them . Keep em coming mate 🇬🇧👍
It was just about letting people know about the pendulum cast. We use a lot of clip down baits here so keeping the rig in the air helps. I have a full video on casting which includes off the ground. Thanks for your input mate. Regards Nickaway PS. I will do the off the ground and overhead soon.
Blooper was funny. But I bet there isn't a fisherman that hasn't forgotten to push or release the spool. Between my dad and brothers we always laughed at each other when we did that. Great memories
Thinking about getting the “Breakaway Alpha Light Tackle” Rod. It looks super light & hopefully strong. Would yall recommend that one as my first light tackle Rod ?
Its a great little rod. Ideal for top waters, lures or live bait. Its one of Brenda's favorite rods. Landed many a Jack and a ton of Reds and Trout. We have plenty at the shop; also Roys and other good tackle shops. Regards Nickaway
Was curious Nick??? How far are those casts? I'm just going to go for it. I use older casting reels with a 12ft rod. Usually get good distances. Next time I'm going to try those casts. Keep up the good work bro. Maybe this older dog can learn new tricks. Lol 😆
Both the flat swing and high swing Pendulum hit about the same distance. I use the backcast for heavy baits and I also teach it as a cast for people with shoulder injuries. It a great cast for taking stress off the upper body. Thanks again for input.
