You make THE BEST knitting tutorials. I don't know where I would be without you! Thanks to you, I'm knitting socks for myself, as well as hats and headbands for all my friends for Christmas :)
Who knew! Well I didn’t! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have the looms, which have been gathering dust for years because I made so many hats I bored myself...I simply did not know that socks could be made. Your tutorial is so clear and easy to follow. I’m super excited...here comes me making a thousand socks! Haha!
best.video.ever. SO helpful-, not a ton of other junk we don't need, no talking that we don't need- absolutely LOVE this video- just got my loom on Friday and now on Sunday, I already have my first pair of socks. Can't wait to watch all of your others! XOXOX you rock!
At last I see why I was making big holes in the heels! Thank you! What a beautifully clear, elegantly presented instructional -- a lot of thought has gone into it, I think. And no distracting chatter, yaay!
I made a pair of these for myself - worked first time! My dad loved them so much he's asked for a pair, that's his Christmas present sorted! Many thanks for this really clear tutorial! Makes sock making easy and fun 😄
barkers16 thanks for your comment! So glad to know it's been useful to you! :) Would you like to share a photo of your result? (if so, please send us an email to info@tuteate.com) Thank you!
Love these! Would love to see a tutorial for a tall sock with cables in the future! Your tutorials are the best with captions, music, and no talking! Thanks!
This video is great! I've been into loom knitting for six or seven years and yet have never learned how to knit socks, although it was one of the first things I wanted to try. Thank you for this easy-to-follow video! This will help a lot when I go to make my first socks tomorrow!
This video was so easy to follow. Love the way you made the heel and didn't have a hole on the end of the toe. I took two days to make one sock but have to do other things so it wasn't constant. Use regular yarn and a fuzzy yarn and use the e-wrap for all the stitches. First one came out great. Now working on the mate. Thank you Tuteate.
I made two pairs of socks using this video! Thank you so so so so much! I'm planning on making quite a few more pairs! Forgot to take a photo of the second pair before I gave them as a gift, but I'll send a photo of the first pair :) Thanks so much!
Just finished my 1st ever sock following this tutorial, it's amazing, thank you! Thank you for using captions, I find it much easier to follow than just verbal instructions. Now onto the second sock!
Thank you SO much for this AWESOME tutorial! I started my first pair on January 5th, just using one skein of yarn (1 color), and finished my 2nd sock on Jan 8th. I only used the one color because I wanted to get the basics down first. My next project is using the 3 colors like you did here. :)
I’m so excited to try this. Thank you so, so much; seeing all these videos with what can be done with a hat loom opens up this whole new realm of possibilities for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
thankyou...i literally just made these in 2 hours and they turned out awsome...very easy...this is the 2nd project i have completed using a loom...your video was extremely helpful and easy to follow☺
Wow thank you so much for this im going to try to make socks, blankets, beanies & scarfs all year round thru december & im going to donate them to cancer patients ☺
I tried using what I know about hand knitting socks and used my martha Stewart loom. I ended up using stitch holders, and resizing the loom for the gusset. Then I did the toe in two parts, then sewing it all together. This method is so much easier!
Thank you for this. I learnt a lot in a video that is not too long but explained it all. Loved the change of colours. But the most satisfying part was the toe part. In most tutorials all the stitches are gathered together in one go. Here you show a nice way of finishing it properly. It looks very professional. I will definitwly apply your method.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. This is the best one I've been able to find. The other I looked at left things out and made things more complicated than necessary. I especially love the casting on technique you show. The other technique I've seen is difficult to do.
Thanks so much. I've seen so many tutorials that suck. Now I can make xmas socks for my grandson. thanks so much it's the best sock toturial I've come across. I just stated loom knitting last July and I'm hooked. Don't mean to be repetitive, but is a damn good video.
This is an excellent video. Very easy to understand. I thank you so much for sharing this information. I really enjoyed this and I can't wait to try this? With these videos being shown how to make many things, brings the joy and achievements back into wanting to continue to make things. Thanks again.
I just wanted to say thank you for the great tutorials! I never got the hang of knitting or crocheting but the loom makes it easy. I'm new to looming and find all the reading and abbreviations hard to follow but your videos make it easy by getting right to the point! I love them! I've done the slouchy beanie hat with your guidance and got it done right the first time and loved it so much i've made 3 so far. Next will be the fingerless mittens and socks. Love your work, please keep making these great videos :) waiting for your hooded cowl tutorial in english to be uploaded later today. Thank you thank you thank you :)
WOW! Thank you too for this wonderful comment! :) You made us really happy with your words!!! A huge and long and warm (and even loom knitted) hug! (BTW, here you have: How to Loom Knit a Hooded Cowl (DIY Tutorial) )
Thanks for the instructions! I'm making a huge sock that my mom can slide over her cast to keep her toes warm and protect her bedding from the rough plaster.
Took me around 3 hrs to get all the weaving correct when I learned the correction as view in this video It went like cakewalks Really more easy this way by the loom Love making these fingerless gloves now ❤
Thank you I do believe I can do that. Your video was extremely helpful. Thank you so much. I love how you made it so I wouldn't need extra knitting needles to do the toe part. For cuff to toe socks. I was going to attempt the toe up socks starting with a Kitchener stitch or something like that. But yours actually looks much easier. I may eventually try toe up Kitchener (I hope I am spelling and using the correct term.) But I am gonna try yours first. Love it. And it looked like you were using regular yarn not sock yarn. I don't have sock yarn so I am really happy for that as well. Thank you, thank you.
Hi everybody, Well, I finished my first sock. YAAY! It didn't come out too bad for a beginner. I'm going to practice more. Then I can make socks for all my guys.
Hi 123kaelee123 ! (we answer you here, because it seem we cannot reply your comment) Yes, you could maybe knit a little looser. You could also try avoiding to make the brim (the folded part is maybe too tight to be higher on the leg...). Hope this helps!
Wow! I'm done watching all this video then, I'd really....loved it! and I promise...that I'll be sure going to make it soon. 'cause I really love....it! :) You teach us as well, so cool...and now I think.. very easy to follow! Thanks....so much!!! for sharing your Amazing...talent! Yahooo...I'm so exited to see...your other videos even more..
piggysruletheworld great! :) Feel free to send us a picture to info@tuteate.com if you want. We are sharing them here: www.tuteate.com/2014/01/13/teje-calcetines-de-lana-con-telar-circular/
I just finished my first sock. Great video!! This was the first thing I have ever knit, so I am very impressed :) I was wondering though, should this fit an adult? Mine fit my 9yr old (size 3 shoes) perfectly. I coulod not get the sock on over my heel :( It was just too tight to fit on me. Could I have knit it too tight? I`d really love a pair for myself! Any suggestions welcome :)
Ashley Keddy hi! How thick is your yarn? We used a yarn for knitting needles of 6mm-7mm and the result fit an adult. If the cuff is too tight, maybe you could try working it in elastic stitch (1knit - 1 purl) as we did for this hat: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rPFztd0143M.html
