INTRODUCTION
Hi I am Gerald. I'm taking a major in Computer Science while trying to run a Tuition business and Martial Arts coaching school, stay in shape through the Gym and find back myself. Life is pretty now and that's why I decided to document my daily journey on RU-vid so that I can look back at how far I've come. I know a lot of people turn their nose up at fasting thinking it's extreme but I just wanted to share and say, I was 62kg and dropped down to 57kg through calorie restriction and exercise (walking + some badminton). But I never felt like it was sustainable.. I decided to try fasting 72 hours once a week since I have a friend who fasts regularly. I personally find it *so* much easier to just not eat for 72 hours than I do to micromanage my calories every day. It ends up giving me +700 calories PER non-fasting day that I can consume. I'm not too fussed on how fast I lose weight, so I just eat whatever the heck I want. It truly didn't feel like much work at all. It's difficult the first two days but by the third it's a lot easier and I don't feel hungry really. Hunger is much reduced on nonfasting days as well. I dropped to 52kg in a month and I wasn't really exercising or stressing about what I ate. Again, I know it's not for everyone but for me it's been the easiest way to lose weight and I could do it long term no problem. It makes my life easier too, cause it's less money on food, less time cooking and less time planning. lol. Definitely would have better results if you actually exercised and were at least somewhat mindful about your calories but the whole point for me was that I was sick of managing the calories carefully. lol

I am currently 95 kg with a height of 175 cm. i started going to the gym a week ago, i am doing a 1000 calorie deficit diet, I will try my best to be consistent with the diet and going to the gym. Wish me the best of luck ❤

See, this is something I never get, completely cutting out fast foods. Sure, when I'm at home, I cook all my meals, but often when I'm with friends, relatives, or coworkers, we go for pizza, burgers, Chinese food, grills, etc. That happens at least once a week, sometimes more or less. I have no idea how a person can avoid fast foods and have a social life. Or do we have a different definition of fast food?

Then track your calories to the best of your ability and keep yourself disciplined and accountable. It's still possible to eat out but choose the healthier options or just eat overall less ~ when I was fat I would always get a set, however nowadays, if I'm craving something, I'll settle with a small burger or a small box of nuggets max and to deal with the craving. With Pizza, I could gulf down many slices and sometimes I even finished entire pizzas on my own but now I try to limit myself to 1 or 2 and really make the effort to eat slow and chew my food and drink a lot of water. Early on I would always track to keep myself accountable but the more I did it, the more disciplined I became so I stopped tracking and just kept a mental record instead. I'm not a fitness trainer, I'm not fit, I'm just a dude that wants to stay moderately healthy to live a long and happy life and I agree that going out to restaurants is part of having a social life, enthusing about food is great for conversations, just keep yourself accountable ~ if you binge on a meal, don't beat yourself up, but perhaps try to eat less or have a simple salad for your next meal.

Hey there! Just some random tips, but put in some chapters or time stamps to section off everything. Some people come back and refer to certain sections, so that makes it easier. (You also dont have to sacrifice your stories for conciseness then.) See you when you get big man! Keep going! This is good stuff 😁

Hello I am 76kg for 175cm can I get skinny before the summer of I do cardio each day 30 minutes each day ? Ps I have no muscle purely fat

No. Doing cardio will have little to no effect on fat loss if you're not taking care of how you eat. If you have no muscle, try to gain muscle to fill in the skin that will shrink as you lose fat. You have to eat less CALORIES to lose fat. If you do 30 minutes of cardio but you still eat 2000-3000 calories that day, it's pointless. This does not mean you have to eat less, for example: 1 head of lettuce is wayy bigger than a small bag of chips, right? Well the lettuce is much lower in calories anyway. In this case, it is because of the water content in the lettuce but it can change depending on the food. Make simple changes, e.g. Instead of frying food, bake or air-fry it. Instead of eating snacks like chips and chocolate, eat fruits or lower calorie alternative. Research Volume Eating. Cardio can help but 30 minutes of cardio will do basically nothing in the long run. Nutrition is key.
