That’s condemnation beloved and condemnation is not of God. You will never be “good enough” for God and that’s the whole point of the gospel. Jesus Christ IS Enough, and when you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior and SURRENDERED your life to Him you became an heir to what He has and has brought. You are spotless before The Father because you are IN THE SON. You will never be good enough that’s why JESUS CHRIST came down.

I pray and ask God to be the treasure of my heart. My parent didn't love me, and I think only reason I was born was so my mother could get government funds to take care of herself. I'm praying to get over my pass. Let me explain what the world thought mattered but not as much as who or what my parent thought of me. I felt like a orphan. There was no love, no nurishment. I looked for love in the face of many men because I had no daddy love. I looked for love in girls who were friends because I need that mothering and close friend as a sister as well. I never new how to love because my mother felt like she had to tell me she didn't love me, and she even told my neighbor. I vanished. Now I hear about Jesus and love and believing and being loyal and faithful and that person who was hurt so bad feels like fighting God and making him feel as bad as I felt because he wasn't there to rescue me. I say I forgive but I'm still hurting. I got to get over
Just want to add I associate love with hurt. I thought love was spelled with a h because this is the way I felt from the people who suppose to loved me. I listen to you because you said something about how to love. I know I can't force the subconscious, and I know I need grace to love. I thought God was like a man when it came to love until God sent the most disrespectful man into my life. I was going to share everything with this old man and after cleaning this man, feeding man, paying bills for this man, and letting this person sleep in bed I bought after doing all that the man felt good and guess what he said to me. He said will you give me some pussy. God was like telling me you meaning I was like that man. I didn't have the right or the respect to be even close to God and that the way I felt. I felt bad. I still feel bad and my prayer is forgive me, grow me up, wake me up, I want to know you. Finally I had to tell God I don't know how to love and ask God to teach me how to love HIM. Teach me How To Love and I almost always tell him to hurry. Can you reply. Thank you.

I am a new christian and a coward. I ve been trying to evangelise to some of my classmates, but failed all the time and end up not knowing how to approach the conversation. This failures just brought me to a place were I cant just belive God loves me when I just suck. Please pray for me, I think he hates me.

Stop trying, start trusting. “Trying” sounds more like legalism, trusting is love. And if youre trusting, you can live by His Grace and Love through Faith in Jesus. I am an agnostic. I believe in god but I have never believed in the books. I feel deep inside that I want a relationship with God. I need it. I am incredibly depressed any when I pray to god I feel a bit better . My partner she just started going to church and I see this great change in her. There is a great deal of sadness within our family but God has uplifted her and made her just better. I want to feel this. I want to give in and submit to him.
It reminds me of the passage of the man who tells Jesus, “Lord I believe, help my unbelief!” Pray to God to reveal Himself to you. Study the reliability of the Bible and you will find it has many fulfilled prophecies and other things. In the words of Voddie Baucham, “I choose to believe the Bible because it is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and they claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.” He has a sermon on this topic too if you’d like to see.

I always thought of surrender in the negative like a white flag to the enemy. it really is a war... Except surrendering to the lover of our souls.i saw my parents as the enemy , growing up. Hey Mark and anyone who wants to learn to love God with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength. No.1: Pray that God will work in your heart to give you a deep passionate love for him, and pray often for this. After all, If you are wanting this, struggling of how to get it, it's because God has already put it on your heart. So go after it by first praying regularly and thinking about it as often as you can. No.2: Get to know how much God loves you. Start by studying scriptures about why Jesus went willingly to the cross for you and understand it fully that he loved you so much, that He surrendered himself to be arrested, brought up on false charges, tortured and crucified. Read the account of Jesus paying in the Garden of Gethsemane (all four Gospels: Matthew 26:36-46; Mark 14:32-52; Luke 22:39-46 and John 18:1-14). Jesus prayed and being in anguish (agony), he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like large drops of blood falling to the ground. Think about that, knowing He was going to be tortured mercilessly with "cat o' nine-tails" (a multi-tailed whip with sharpened metal pieces at each end that caused Jesus's flesh to be savagely torn in many places), forced to carry His cross over 660 yards with a good portion up hill, then nailed to the cross and hung their in torment for hours until he died. He also experienced His Father's rejection as Jesus took on the sins of all of us. Eternity to Eternity up to this point, Jesus experienced a magnificent relationship with God, His Father, and now for the very first time, His Father rejected him. How terribly horrible that had to have been for him. Pray and meditate about all these events over and over again until you get it. No.3: We all need passion, a heart felt passion to love God with our whole hearts, mind, soul and strength. What is passion? Most of us know some about passion, it came to us when we got excited about a girl, a boy, a woman, and man, and fell in love. But we also experienced passion through sports, hobbies and other means of interest. Think back to the times you had passion for baseball, football, soccer, hockey, wrestling, boxing, track, tennis, hunting, fishing, shooting or any other sport. If not a sport then for a hobby, a game of chess, your career and or anything else that you had a passion for and worked at it till you became successful. As a young Christian, I struggled with not having a strong passion to get to know God nor to read His Holly Bible. Sure, I went to church four times a week, Wednesday night, Saturday night, Sunday morning and Sunday night. I prayed and read the bible, yet I didn't have a strong passion. By thinking about how much I devoted to my earthly passions, I felt that I needed to develop a similar passion for God and His word. Eventually through the years, I kept thinking about my earthly passions, about how much Jesus went through, how many times God worked in my life and the various hardships He brought me through, where together with much prayer of asking God to give me a love for him, I began to experience this wonderful love for God and His Son Jesus Christ in my whole heart, mind, soul and strength. Am I there completely? No, it's truly just scratching the surface, but its so awesomely wonderful as it is and I keep praying for more and more of God's love in my heart, mind, soul and strength. Keep after your growth and maturity in Christ while seeking to love God, and he will bring you to experiences this love. Blessings to you all, your brother in Christ

I have a passion for my sport and sometimes even if I love God more I still feel bad for treating it as a treasure in my heart if you get me… so if you’ve been through it, would you mind sharing an answer to that?
My journey thru loving my sport and loving my God, Jesus Christ began years ago when I realized for the first time, that I had more passion for my sport than I did for Jesus, as I recognized that I spent far more time and energy in the pursuit of my sport, than I did about learning about Jesus and His Holy Word. I've always been an intense learner of what ever I got super interested in. The following turned out longer to write than I anticipated, but it's part of my story and struggles years later as a Christian. So, here we go... As a youngster during my Little League baseball years, I read through the how to play Little League baseball book dozens of times, and specifically the areas of how to field, catch, play each position and bat. There was lots of information for each, and I read and re-read each of those areas. I also fantasized about different play and batting scenarios and work them out in my head as to how to play each. As an 8, 9 and 10 year old back in the late 50s and early 60s that kind of devotion was unheard of. Not one of my teammates put in that much time and effort into learning the most that they could. Years later, I did the same when I got into hunting, shooting and reloading, and I even joined a hunting club where we had competition varmint hunts. Varmints as in coyote, bobcat, fox and badgers. In all my spare time, I learned everything I could about each animal we hunted and everything about every type of rifle, scope, accurizing rifles for supreme accuracy, and same for reloading equipment and components. I also bought every BLM map of southern California, Mojave Desert and the counties of San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Riverside, Kern, Inyo, Imperial, San Diego, and most of Nevada and western Arizona. I spent thousands of hours during those years going over those maps looking for mountains, hills, canyons, river and, creeks, dry washes and dirt roads, for what might be potential good hunting areas. Then on weekends during hunting season I went to those places and hunted hard, covering as much territory as possible. I even got into skinning coyote, fox and bobcat hides and selling the pelts to furriers. By doing so much research and applying it, I became one of the all-time best varmint hunters in southern California. I shard all that so that you could see what a fanatic I could be whenever I got super interested in something. Forty plus years ago when I became a Christian, I jumped in with both feet, my mind, heart and soul. But it wasn't until years later, that I realized, I never put as much effort into Jesus and His Word as I did in hunting. From then on, little by little, God began working in me. It's been a work in progress with many successes and several hard times, that led me to truly grab hold onto our Lord, where now finally, I feel I know I am on the right track, which IS to love our Lord with all of our hearts, mind and soul. Lastly, just the past few months, I came to realize that when reading His Holy Word and also the amount of time I spent in reading it, I was reading it as if I was reading the newspaper, a book or a sporting article. So in reality, I was a sluggard when it came to His Word. When God revealed this to me, I began praying that God would help me to appreciate and love His word as much as I love Him, after all, Jesus is the Word of God! I'm far from where I know I should be, but with God's help, I'm working on it. I hope what I wrote above connects with you and helps you to grow in the love, admiration and appreciation for our Lord and His Holy Word. PS, don't get bogged down in blaming yourself. There's some good stuff in here! I've come to the same realization of this a while back, but when I pray about it I often feel Gods answer is that I need to spend more time with Him in prayer. That requires letting go of other things to make time for more prayer. Which is again work in some sense.

Yes! Me too! I think I need to do the opposite of what I want to do to make God happy or get Him to love me, and I don't feel like I can tell anyone about that.
I teach woman’s bible studies and serve in other areas at church and I have to preach of sermon next month, but I’ve been feeling so disconnected to God in prayer and I’ve been asking him what’s wrong with me God? But no answer… I’m like what am I failing in? The past few weeks I’ve been racked with anxiety and stress like to the point I’m breaking out and losing sleep . Anyways Ive seen this verse 5x in the past week and I’m just like “but I do God love you!!!”’ Today I came across this video and cried so much. This is what God wants. For me to sit in how much He loves me 😭😭😭 I’ve been struggling with the fact that I can’t pray so long in my devotion time, I said to God I feel like a fraud, why am I such a ppl pleaser God? This subject has plagued me for a long time. I've never understood how you can have a close relationship with an invisible God who doesn't speak to physical ears and you can't touch. Everything with him is spiritual which I'm terrible at Spiritual stuff. So loving God with ALL of your everything feels impossible times 10. The only thing that makes sense to me is just doing the best you can to obey him as best you know how. I don't know how to have a relationship with him which scares me and I worry about my salvation...a lot.
Get to know Jesus and you will fall in love with Him ask Him to forgive you of your sins and invite Him into your life and He will direct you to God our Father which will grant you a unique and true relationship with the Only true God of the universe and earth we live in.
God is knocking at your door! Sit down and eat with him. He speaks in many ways and it sounds like he is talking to you maybe just not in the way that you are expecting 🧡
Can not that command, " You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart , soul and strength" be seen as a promise too ? 🤔 We shall in time eternal , when we are made perfect living in Heaven , love God with all our strength , soul and body .... The Ten Commandments can be seen as a promise to come when we have completed our journey here in our short earthly life . We shall not murder , we shall not steal , we shall not covert ....✝️🆓 Someone pointed this out , and it helped me see the commandments from another perspective....
I am unable to love. Even this does not help. Spurgeon says same thing. You cannot force it. But i know I am saved. Love is not a requirement for salvation.

Thank you so much. I knew I was missing something in my understanding. I don’t really know what it’s like to receive love, even though I know my husband and kids love me. I’ve never felt it, only known it because I believe them. So it’s also been that way with me and God. There are things that don’t come easily to me as a relatively new Christian (serving, loving others, etc) and I feel guilty about that. But I think it’s because I haven’t received his love and so the ways I’ve tried to serve have been out of a sense of duty or guilt, rather than as a natural response. You have such a brilliant understanding of this and I’m so grateful to you for sharing it.
But open your heart. Be yearning to be in His Love. The fruit of fruits and candle of candles and a Light for people to see and you know of whom I speak of Yeshua.

I'm not supposed to love God because I fear something bad may happen to me if I don't. I know I should love God ordinarily with all my heart but hey I don't even understand what "all my heart" feels like. At what point in my thinking is "all my heart". I truly want to love God for the truth of it, not just for the good of it. Does anyone even understand my plight?

I am not a practicing Christian but ever night I thank God for my life. I have a chat ever night with God and I have always done so, even as a child. I was never pushed into learning about God, I grew up very free and easy. Our parent's didn't push us to mass, and I KNOW there is a God and heaven we will all meet up in. They say life is like a rollercoaster and I totally agree. I see my time on earth as being on that rollercoaster, enjoying the highs, dealing with the lows, the rollercoaster will come to a stop, I will get off and someone else will get on and enjoy the ride.
“all” is used in ONE sentence 4X; all ~ 100%: Empty of imperfect human love ==> Fill up of/in God’s perfect love. Then you’ll be able to love others as with God’s perfect love … so others can “taste, and see that the Lord is good”; but if one wants more (as being able to be full themselves) … then a personal relationship is required, as in baptism, etc. This is the “pay it forward” discipleship spiral-cycle that in family love grows Jesus’ kingdom! -Sycharian

Thanks Mark. Having a difficult time with your message because I never had a father figure in my life & don’t know who my father is. I’ve just lost my only child a year ago so it’s hard to feel & even know that GOD loves me. I am a Christian & have accepted JESUS as my LORD & Savior. I do know my Redeemer lives because I’ve had some pretty amazing experiences that can’t be explained any other way but GOD. It’s just hard believing that He loves me or to even know what a real relationship looks like between a daughter & Father. Thanks for the message. I can relax now & not try so hard I guess. 🙏🏽✝️💕
Mark, this is a great ~minute: 29:18 to 30: 16 (“ but I want to.” Period.). Wtg right there. You really forgot yourself into the wanting/trying to help, and connect w viewer. That was beautiful. Thank you a Lot. The desperate thing is a great point too. We hear about hitting bottom or we hear (in the wrong way)what you said (“ it happens after we get to the end of ourselves.“), and try to get in bad shape. (There can even be a subtle decision to screw-up worse and worse until it “hits bottom“, like if I’m up till two I’ll stay up till six hoping I’ll make it bad enough that it gets better. I finally declared that screwing up a little is always better than screwing up a lot, so if those are my choices I’ll go ahead and let it end whenever possible (whether it’s TV or anger or whatever is happening to excess). Baby steps maybe.) One good cure I’ve used for the desperation mode is saying to myself, “listen for God’s love.“ And nothing profound happens but it really changes my state of mind. I don’t have to be desperate; God loves me as I am. And if I’ve accepted Christ, He forgives even what Im doing right now, so it’s ok and how could I ever NOT want to respond w stoping sinning, since I don’t even have to. Nobody that gracious can be denied. (by a regenerating heart). Of course when I say “I dont even have to”, it means “to be loved and counted righteous”; there will still be whatever natural consequences and delays in sanctification. But not less love or propitiation. Anyway thanks again.

I don't love God. I can not deny that before I started pursuing Christ, My heart has conformed more to him in some ways, and I have changed. However, I don't live God the way I should, I have so many questions and doubts, and I want to move past them, but I don't feel I can, I have had to force myself to read and prayed, and I never heard anything. So reading and studying now is just daunting. I also can't bring myself to love someone who isn't there, God has never given me energy or refreshment.
I keep doubting myself and my salvation. I DO have a heart for love, compassion, etc. I love God's word, I want to obey Him, but I struggle so badly with temptation and sin. It's like I know the path, but it's extremely hard to keep on the path. Does that mean I don't live, God? I keep asking myself if I really love God. I know I'm not worthy, and I have a lot of shame. So much so that it drives doubt in my salvation because I keep failing Him and giving in to temptation. I feel like I'm under attack. I guess so down I know these thoughts and doubts about my love for Him could be Satan telling me these things, so I give up. Yet, still I feel like I'm losing to these doubts. 😞😔
