I did my big chop a month and a half ago, at first I was to shy to wear me hair. I decided to embrace my hair for what it is. I styled it, did my edges and all. I was absolutely in love with myself and my growth in such little time. I went to thanksgiving dinner with all my family, and was completely put on the spot. My cousin, laughed in my face and made hurtful comments in front of everyone. Needless to say, I am so heartbroken and embarrassed. He ended his remarks by saying I needed that laugh today. Im mad at myself because I know it shouldn’t affect me this bad, I’m balling my eyes out y’all. I feel so small, like all my life my hair has been a way for them to bring me down. But thank you for this video, I’m gonna shake back. I just needed a pick me up.

I big chopped in September. I have big, wide-set eyes, round face, thick lips and nose and used my long hair as a beauty security blanket. I finally decided life is too short to be hung up on hair! I cut it low like yours and I LOVE IT! people are shocked but I don't care. It's the best decision I've made in a long time. I'll take freedom over hair any day! Keep being awesome.

Yaaaaaaaa...I voted for you to post a video like this. I love you so much....You are so amazing. I recently shaved my hair off this past December. (To grow my hair back healthy) I too have the same situation where you might get a compliment and the person will follow up saying "I couldn't do that". I will admit I wore a wig maybe 2 weeks after my chop and then one day I put that wig to the side. Now I wear my short hair with confidence and I feel so good. The great thing about cutting your hair is you are also cutting out negative people. If they can't love and support you with really short hair forget them. I can go on and on but thank you for posting this. You have my heart.

I just cut my hair last week, and i still cant believe i did it. It still shocks me when i see my reflection sometimes lol. But Im glad I did it because my hair was so unhealthy and had a lot of heat damage. I love your videos and thanks for the tips about how to wear your confidence!

Good video. Upbeat and positive. I hear you about hats. I knit my own hats, and they really are fun when your hair is short; everything from little beanies, to berets. to slouchy hats. Scarves do a lot too. I also love earrings, but minimal makeup. Lipstick is nice. I agree with you that short hair shows off feminine facial features best, especially as women get older and their bone structure becomes more distinct. .

Then I got braids , and it was harder to rock my twa because now I was used to myself with braids , however I just did it . I wasn't sure if you were going to see my previous comment on your hair loss video about 4 weeks ago, but I wanted to comment on here because I saw in your skincare videos that you were taking vitamin A, and I wanted to let you know any source of hair loss/thinning can be caused by an overconsumption of vitamin A. You probably just have to decrease your dosage of vitamin A and your hair growth should regulate itself! Just wanted to let you know that either way you look beautiful no matter the length of your hair.

I got my hair cut today. It's something between a buzz cut and pixi (I wanted a buzz cut but my hairdresser opted for a pixi since I am a girl so we met in the middle). It's my first time having hair that short so I couldn't know any better. I like how my face looks in that haircut but I dislike the haircut - it looks like an overgrown buzz cut and has some parts that stand out too far from my head, changing my head shape - they look like bed hair and I didn't even slep yet! I am thinking about getting them fixed myself as soon as I get my hands on some proper clippers (the hairdresser refused to use clippers on the top of my head because "it would be too short" and I don't have money for another hairdresser for a while). But there is one thing that bothers me even more. I was wearing a pony tail for many years so my hair have very visible parting. It didn't get away after the cut, there is visible "bald" line where the parting was. Will it go away eventually? Or am I stuck with a "bald" line on top of my head? I am not sure what to think about the short haircut because the parting and the "overgrown, bedhair like" parts bother me too much. However what I found out for now - the haircut makes my face prettier and my eyes bigger, it also makes me want to get my ears pierced (I never had any piercing before, didnt want to, didn't feel like I need it). People complimented me, my dad even got inspired and decided to get a buzz cut too (the hairdresser used the clippers on his whole head because he is "a man"). Some people also said I look like a famous person but they can't pinpoint who it is, "some kind of traveller". I was feeling very confident at first, unlill I looked closely in a mirror at home and I saw the "overgrown" parts for hair and the parting line. Also - with the haistyle my neck, breast and belly look bigger (which isnt a good thing) and my clothes don't fit me like they did when I had long hair. I hope my new look will grow on me after getting some nigth sleep... I wanted to have short hair. I washed them 3 times today, because of how easy they are to wash and dry now.
