This truly is a phenomenal video. Ive yet to attempt a low bar squat but this tutorial has me confident to give it a go next squat day. Appreciate you big bro💪🏽
I'm 6ft4 with awkward af leverages and have been absolutely hating squats until this video. Now I'm absolutely smoking my form 3 weeks out. serious big ups man thank you
Needed this tutorial. I was squatting high bar in competition because every time I squatted low bar, I set the bar slightly above the shelf on my back and the bar would roll up my traps as soon as I started the ascent out of the hole in the squat. I recently figured out that I was placing the bar about an inch higher than it needed to be and it has been feeling better since seeing the how to instantly increase your squat video and It helped me notice the difference. Thanks Rhyss and Emma for demonstrating proper technique. Excited to maximize my low bar squat to increase my total. Greatest channel around.
Another amazing tutorial. I can't believe how much knowledge you share freely. That's why i buy your programs & merch to support you so these vids keep rolling out
Been running low bar for a couple of months now and its started to feel natural. Originally I was leaning too far forward for my anatomy (long torso) and it felt super unstable. Wide stance also felt super unnatural so I've settled at shoulder width, knees pretty forward and a pretty upright stance, feels super stable now and I'm hitting significant rep PR's at a weight class and a half below my starting weight. Currently learning to cut my depth at just below comp standards cos i had a bad habit of absolutely sinking that shit like an olympic lifter 😂 Great video mate, bracing section was particularly helpful! 🤙
nice tutorial ! good focus on tension, that´s missing on most tutorials. but since i have problems to hold that tension i have 2 questions : 1. how and in which direction should the elbows pull when you have the bar a bit higher ? 2. are you actively trying to restist with your back on the change of direction upwards (almost like a good morning) or is the stability purely created through the tension you build on the way down ?
Great video mate! Missed my workout today taking mum to medical appointments... was really looking forward to it but delays in traffic and then dad duties come up. Going to smash it double time tomorrow! But, in the mean time i can do burpee jumps, and Bulgarian split squats from home. This is why i believe its important to have some weights at home for circumstances as these.
Just had my third squat session today and I just can’t seem to be able to do it without having a wide stance and I don’t want to squat with a plate under the heels but I’m over here having to squat real wide to be able to get to depth and not dump the weight forward I’m not sure what to do I tried all these tips with a closer stance man wtf
Wrist wraps to support the wrist in a low bar position, a very good idea. Sleeves can help with support of the elbow joint which takes a beating with heavy low bar squats too 🤝🏼
Dave Tate and the boys at EliteFTS need to do a collab with you, would be epic. Would generate more views to this channel too. Between this channel, elitefts, and Matt Wenning...Bases are covered.🦾
Unfortunately they are on the other side of the world so it’s difficult doing collabs over here in Australia but perhaps soon I can get over to the states for some collaborations 🤝🏼
