Thank you! You just saved me $1,000 bucks or more. Door was sticking so bad that I was sure it needed to be replaced. Found the stuff at Lowes, it took all of 2 minutes and the door is sliding great!

As long as the wheels are working properly the only thing that will create drag on the door is the weather stripping. Using Alumaslick will not only help with lubricating important components, it dries after about 15 minutes leaving a very smooth slick surface, it also helps to prevent corrosion and oxidation in the aluminum. This product nor any other will fix bad bearings and wheels. Sliding glass doors should ROLL smoothly not DRAG or SLIDE. I don’t recommend wd-40 due to it is a penetrating oil, it will stay wet attracting dust and dirt and will wash grease from the bearings in the wheels causing more harm to the bearings than good.

Old Trick. Rub a wax candle along the upper and lower guide.

Also, blow that out with air. No dirt. Easy glide with a good seal.

You must be in Florida. We have the same exact floor and sliding door 😂. Our house was built in 1998.

Lube rollers only , not rails

The wheels are meant to rotate. Spraying the bottom track means they will now slide which causes flat spots and even more issues. You seriously run a door maintenance company and do this??

Why lube the track? That will cause dirt to collect. You need to take the door off and lube the rollers. This is just a Mickey mouse fix. The rollers are supposed to roll on the track, not glide on the track so the lube does nothing but collect dirt on the track and will just cause the door to work poorly in a month or two.
