No just make sure you and the customer is happy with the results doesn't matter how long it takes you especially when you're just starting and don't have most high end equipment. It typically takes me 6 hours for a full detail.
That ! An depends the area your in that matters cause there are cheap people those u walk away from but I say for 300 range people usually step back so I say a bit lower like 200s ranges or 185 to start an the way your business cards look that shit matters an ur work
I did this during covid but we detailed cars in more upscale neighborhoods where everyone drove nicer cars like Mercedes, Lexus etc those kind of people who are able to afford $200+ we started out with a cheap kit from Amazon but eventually got a used powerwasher with the foam gun and much better interior products it used to takes us 3 hours to clean a suburban size vehicle but we'd do a high end type job we even had the whole carpet shampoo/vacuum . The guy in this video could've done a bit better for his prices bit who am I to say I myself couldn't charge like that and not at least do better on the exterior ....that's barely any soap on the car
@@jvee310_Honestly the prices are ridiculous. I got my car detailed by some “badass” “top of the line” detailer $500 detail and my car looked like it always does after I washed it lol. A couple months later I took it to some kid who did it in his parents driveway for $200 and my car came out nice. He even did a hand polish.
You are definitely a pro. I remember cleaning my dads cars from the business he ran and I only had 2 cloths, 1 rugged, a brush and a not so good vacuum. I remember it took me around 1.5hrs to do the whole car in n out, but as I just implied, I did try my best to work with what I have but you wouldn't see me getting on my knees to each little cravice and using a toothbrush and special soaps to each inch of the car, I assume that if I did it would have taken me well around 8hrs. And yet you did 2 cars FULL deep cleaning to the last detail as a brand new baby and only took you around 3hrs each. I take my hat off for you sir.
Once you take out the gas which was not that much with the time it took to get to these clients and insurance, this man still made probably $750 for the day
I swear people in 2024 still don't know what rate exchange means. This man works in Australia. Euros are almost always worth more than dollars. During today's current exchange which YOU should know cause you are a "conscious trader," actually made $894.49. Keep laughing. Jokes on YOU! 😂 Even if you count in gas, insurance, lunch, etc he still made $800 that day. How much do YOU make a day? Again the jokes on YOU!!! 🤭🤣🤣
Can you make a video on a list of products/tools you use? I’m looking to start detailing my own cars and once I get good enough I’ll see about doing it for friends/family but I don’t really know what to get. I see upholstery cleaners ranging from $650-$2400 and I’m not sure what features are really needed or not and I’d like the opinions of people that do this for a living to give recommendations on tools like brushes(didn’t think I’d need them but I can see why they’re useful) before I really get in to this. Some things I’d like to know are which upholstery cleaners/features I should consider. Pressure washer nozzles, pressure washers. brushes/scrubbers that won’t harm paint/finish. Solutions for cleaning inside and out (what is a paint decontamination? I’ll look this up later). I’m not just asking for the answers to everything, I’ll be putting in time to research on my own but since I’m just now starting to look in to this, I’m a little lost and would like to know a benchmark to start really comparing stuff to and to learn from professional’s experiences for what they’ve encountered and wish they knew earlier. Thank you all in advance for your consideration and for taking the time to read this and for answering any questions I’ve presented.
I want to get into this I think I bought the supplies I need to start but a video about everything u need from how u charge to the items u need would be amazing help. Or even a long form comment replying to me
I guess its different every where you go. Of course my prices are cheap and work with the people. Usually it takes me about 4 or 5 hrs. But longer depending on how bad the vehicle is.
Planning on starting a mobile detailing business in my city but one question where tf do get the water? Do you borrow from the customers house? Do you use a water tank? I’m confused
how long have you been detailing in order to have your processes down so efficiently to complete two cars in one day by yourself? I recently started detailing my own vehicle and it takes me a couple hours and that's without wax and the car is new and clean already 😂
That’s impressive, a full detail in 4 hours. Our shop with two guys on one vehicle will take about 4-6hrs. Are you polishing the vehicles? I’m not hating, I also know you are doing mobile as well which I charge more for.
I have a system where unless it’s incredibly dirty I can do in 3:30 minutes. I only accept 2 Appointments per day because traffic and day light savings time. This is totally doable at least 3-4 days a week.
Very true but that's also not counting detailing products, gas, tires, maintenance costs on his equipment and his car, insurance for his business, maintenance costs for his website, business cards etc. Also eating lunch on the go also gets expensive especially in high end areas like this. He's still easily pulling 6 figures though.
How long does it take to detail a suv and shampoo the suv carpet my suv been in the shop for 2 days now and the bill I sign was for $450 plus tax should I be concerned?
Insurance, road tax and fuel for the van plus the cost of chemicals used on customer vehicles. On top of that you'd have personal indemnity insurance. Those are the big monthly expenses and you'd have a few others every now and again
But that $824 didn't take the expenses out - like the products, the equipment. Your take home for the day was? I'm going to guess $500 or so, and that has to be spread out to cover days when you don't have this kind of clientele.
Compete wash, seal and interior in for hours by yourself. Dude, you are flat running. No way you could charge those prices in my area. Your calendar would look like a blank sheet of paper.
Its crazy to me how youre doing a paint sealant for your ultimate detail but you’re not decontaminating the paint before applying the sealant? You’re just throwing it over contaminated paint? Which will make the sealant last waaay less. Im basing this over your comment about the tar and how you upsold the paint decontamination. Which paint decontamination is pretty much do a chemical decontamination with iron remover followed by a mechanical decontamination with a clay bar. Hope you’re doing things right and not just making car looking clean when they’re technically not.
It’s very doable with experience and having a good work system. If you’re bouncing through the car to get everything done instead of going side by side you would be way faster. In my case, do interiors starting on the passenger front side moving my way around until I get to the drivers side, by the time I’m at the drivers side im pretty much done. It’s good to set up a system to be faster and more efficient. Always working with excellence.
See I would love todo this but so far the people that I talk to just tell me “so basically wash and vacuum my car? Id rather take it to Buc-ee’s and do it for $12”…
Swear pressure washing never cleans my cars , have to manually scrub to get it remotely clean! What’s your trick ? Definitely going to sign up to your program
Bro ur so lucky you can wash cars in the daytime. If I wash my car while the sun is out the. The soap immediately dries on the car and is. Early impossible to get off, so I have to wait till the sun goes over the horizon and then I gotta wash my car in 30 minutes which is a pain
