That looks good. All I'd need with it is hot sause, collard greens, and corn bread lol. Thank you for showing the rice process, that was cool. Much respect to our farmers throughout the world

What a lovely video with a message of gratitude. It’s so nice to see the process of the rice being grown and harvested by the community. I didn’t have a community farm when I was growing up, but we always had a home garden where I would help my mom plant tomatoes and herbs. It’s so important to involve children in tasks like this! Congratulations on your RU-vid award!

Kitchen Princess Bamboo: Japanese Everyday Food its almost the same but we use a long grain rice in Latin America my grandfather used instead of rice paddies my grandfather used flood irrigation because in the region where we used to live in gets droughts and the rice paddies dry out

I love that every time you eat sekihan it reminds you of all of the past celebrations in your life :) Growing up I would always ask to go out for sushi on my birthday so when I eat sushi it reminds me of past celebrations. ビデオはおもしろくてすばらしいと思います。ありがとうございます!

I had never heard of this dish before. I'm going to have to try it. I also enjoy the segment on rice growing. It just hit me how little I know about rice before it gets into my kitchen.

Watching the rice harvesting made this video extra special. Thank you for putting in the work to film and edit that. This recipe reminds me a lot of a Cuban recipe my parents make at specially occasions called "arroz con gris" which means rice with grey. The rice is dyed by the beans in a similar way! Interesting to see how close they are!

I checked it on RU-vid! Looks very similar, almost the same! But it tastes very different. Thanks for sharing your story with me!

I used the wrong rice (japonica instead of glutinous) because of the word "Japanese" in the title.
