Hello, your video is great, I have already built the same charger as yours. I have another Power supply but its IC has a reference PJ494 CD. Is this type suitable for making a second charger with the same modifications? Thank you
The problem with many good modern atx power supplies is that there is an over voltage protection which needs to be disabled too. Using this system will trigger the overvoltage protection circuit in these new power supplies.
Can I ask u a question in regarding to measure AC and DC current. I am building a power supply from Microwave transformer. I have a Flute multi meter. It can only measure AC current. I can check AC current before and After the Transformer. But after circuit go through bridge rectifier. How can I check DC current ? Is there a way to mathematically convert AC current to DC current?
100ah is the same as 1 amp for 100 hours or 2 amps for 50 hours. ah = ampere hour. You dont rate chargers by ampere hours, you rate them by continuous amps output
Sir, please correct me if I am wrong.. Isn't it means the battery will always adjust its ampere based on total load impedance? Even without that psu. I mean, if a lamp has 6watt burden and voltage input same as battery/12vdc, it will consume 0.5 Amp. If battery has potential energy of 100ah (as you said, but I'm not sure for that small battery), so it will last for 200hours. Pardon me since I don't know much about electrical stuff.
hello, I have an atx power supply too. i was surprised that our power supply uses the same 2 ICs, when i put the 33k ohm resistor in pin 1 to pin 7 of AZ7500BP IC, i got 13.8V but it turns OFF immediately, how can i make it turned on always?
Good tutorial, your illustrations is a lot better than other same mod on RU-vid. We can add a switch to the 33k ohm resistor to select between 12V and 13.4V output as we wish. Thumbs up!
i have desktop computer powr suply having default output voltage 12v. I conect variable resistor 3296 with main i.c and voltgae increased upto 14.5v. Is it safe to charge my car battery?
Example your battery is 40Ah. Yhe good current charger about 4A. So you need use the current clamp or VOM for measure the current charge at with 14.5V input. If the current very high you need to down it by use the halogen light bulb like my video

yes car batteries can take 14.6 volts and pretty much any current if it doesnt overheat. so yes its safe
Good músic at the start of the video spectre of alan walker greettings from Jicaral puntarenas costa excelent video only quality and like tenths in costa rica pura vida👌👌
Excellent! Would it be easy to also modify the 5V output to 6.5-7V in order to charge 6V batteries? Additionally adding a switch to bypass that light bulb would give a possibility to easily change between low and high current for different batteries.
+CheapskateProjects when change the 12V output to 13.5v ,the 5v output also change, i don"t measure but i think the voltage about 6.5v. At the next version i will adding a switch to bybass the light bulb. Thanks for you idie
Hi.. nice video and tutorial..! I'm trying to make a car battery charger., can i use this method of your..? do the earth (GND) needs to be isolated like most of the videos i've watch.. the reason i ask is bcoz your method is the easiest way.. and i didn't see how you gnd it.. kindly please reply me.. i'm new to all this and i needed a 12 volt car batery charger. Tq in advance..
step 1: Make 12 battery charger from Computer PSU like this video. step 2: Check my channel i had video for make 24V from computer PSU ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mvym9AqlbuY.html Step 3: Use computer PSU on step1 for make like video at step 2 Step get 24V 100Ah battery charger
i want to charge my car bettery with computer power suply. But in power suply there is a yellow color wire having voltage is 12v thats ok,,, but ampere is low as about 1ampere to 2ampere only (which is not suffient to charge my car bettery). My problem is that how to increase the amperage of (yellow 12v wire) so that it charge my bettery easily. regds, thanks. plz reply in detail to solve my problem
The maximum output load of any ATX is 400 watt whereas your load is 12 volt x 100 amp = 1200 watt. So how will the ATX bear the load ? It will charge 7 Amp battery only which you have used.
Long Technical i just buy a dc dc adjustable converter , if i use -12 and +12 cable it will be 24v right , i will step it down with adjustable converter . it should work right ?
it working but the -12v on ATX with small Ampe you can check it at detail on the case of ATX power. If you want to more Ampe just do with instruction here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mvym9AqlbuY.html
Please give me just diagram please please please How to make 9 volt DC auto cutoff power supplier? Two row,one goes direct to device and another goes to from battery to device.(both lines 9 volt DC) When current is gone battery make sure to power supply. How I make it? Please answer me Give me a circuit diagram
Good car or motorbike battery charger but no way 100Ah. You can buy a car battery charger for 6A on ebay for very cheap. No need for all this I don't think. Interesting though, thanks.
the max voltage of charging machine is 13.5V. When the battery full the voltage about 13.5V. So the voltage of battery equal the voltage of charging machine. So no current charging and don't need cut off. If you want cut off, check on my video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NuqrtcB1_Ko.html
Long Technical that's where u go wrong. Batteries aren't that simple in reality. I know u speak from class 12 physics but batteries can overcharge easily. This can cause damage to the internal electrodes inaddition to overheating which itself can lead to leakage, brittleness, etc etc.
