Ingredients:
- 150 gms Reetha/ Soapnut
- 10 gms of Gond (edible gum)
- 1 tablespoon Methi
- 1 tablespoon Flax seeds
- Rice water, depending on how you want the consistency
Method:
- Soak the Reetha in hot water for 10 mins.
- Soak the Methi and flax seeds together for atleast 1 hour.
- Soak the Gond for 2-3 hours or do it overnight and use it next morning.
- Boil the Methi and flax seeds well, add the Gond and mix it well for 5 minutes or so, until it is thick.
- Add some rice water according to your needs.
- Switch off the gas and let it cool down.
- Strain the mixture while it’s hot, add Reetha soaked water to it and add more rice water if needed.
- Mix it well and store it!
Tip: don’t waste the methi and flax seed remains, you can grind it into a paste and use it as a hair mask!
You can store the shampoo/ conditioner for maximum 3-4 days not more than that, fresh is always better!
