Played for the first time yesterday. Fell down a hole ten steps into one of my first games. There was a chest there with a flawless diamond. I then skulked around shitting myself until I stumbled on a rope to extract. Still haven’t even checked its value but what a rush. Also, similar to this, fell down a hole *no idea how this extra bit got added so I added this bit to clarify.
I've actually been doing something like this. Currently I am bringing a pick and trying to double boss as you can bring gear into normals. Killing both bosses can be done fast in mid kits and it's rare you are contested. You can get 4 different gold ore spawns that give 3-4 gold per node. I am currently investing my gold into pelts on top of the troll pelts I farm and saving them. I believe it will all go up in price a lot so it's very much worth it. I don't really bother hitting the pile though.
This is exactly what i'm doing too. You get two chances at pelt and blood and a guaranteed 10 gold ore. I'm hoping this method doesn't get too popular though
Ima go try this today once I get the chance, I heard about their being gold ore in the middle room but didnt know it was multiple nodes, that sounds insane! Thanks for the tip :D
Previously a longsword bro, since the sprint nerf I just can't catch any ranged class so this wipe I switched to bard and got to discover this channel, it's pretty good and a nice resource to learn bard :) keep it going ! Edit : would you say the lantern shield is viable on bard ? I crave riposte kills
I appreciate that, and I’m glad to hear you’ve joined the Bard Brigade!! In regards to the lantern shield I haven’t been able to test it much myself yet but it does do a lot of damage from what I can tell so I don’t think it could be too bad and I can definitely envision somebody that gets really good with it being a menace to fight 1v1. The only reason I initially think it might be less meta than the buckler is that the lantern shield has a higher movespeed penalty. However, outside of that I definitely see a world where it could be good and I think bard would probably the it’s best user currently :)
has there been much community discussion on the boringness of certain bosses and mini bosses in the sub 25 gs lobby? as a new player i like learning the attack patterns of the mobs, but i find when they have a lot of hp it's almost induces a boring anxiety. like the centipede for example, you just spin to win, but for soo long it hardly feels worth it.
Thats a fair point and I dont think there has been too much discussion on it, but I wouldnt be mad if they reduced the hp by a fair amount if youre playing in the lower gear bracket of normals personally.
@@VinisKitchen22 while this argument makes sense it would be unhealthy for the game if someone in no gear killed a subboss in the same amount of time a juiced guy did. Bosses should be viewed as a waste of time when you are in basically no gear you can kill centipedes pretty quick even with a blue weapon.
@@Zak-jt6nk Yeah, I mainly agree in a perfect world I think the fights would just be a little more interactive so that the boring anxiety so to speak that the original commenter mentioned doesnt happen because if youre playing warlock for example in a default kit, especially without a blue weapon the centiped legit takes forever it feels like.
@@VinisKitchen22 while thats fair you aren't forced to kill anything anyway i did a troll on my level 1 fighter earlier took 6 minutes that really felt bad.
No problem! Glad I could help :D I just tend to skip them because goblins cant drop any treasure and on Normal mode they also tend to not drop any valuable gear worth selling on the market. In High roller though I sometimes will loot them, sort of just depends on what my goal for the match is :)
I personaly have been really struggling when it comes to bosses and some PVP. What would you recommend i do to improve? (I main Cleric) I was also thinking about switching to Rogue or Bard for solo. My main issue is i rely heavily upon blocking. And im trying to fix that by trying out a Rogue and/or Bard for my solo runs. Lemme know your thoughts. Thanks!
@@Sandy-Editz I would check out my cleric no spell build guide for solos before it gets nerfed if you want to try and play cleric some more. Outside of that it’s probably just going to take some time, switching classes to learn how to rely less on blocking isn’t a bad idea. I will say that I think Rogue is pretty rough in PVP for beginners but does well on bosses, where as Bard is honestly really good at both bosses and PVP so I’d probably recommend Bard :) I’ve also got some bard guide videos on the channel that can help a lot!
True 😅 I made a video about a somewhat similar strategy as my first Dark and Darker video a few months prior that kind of blew up for my standards especially considering it was my first Dark and Darker video and over the next few weeks I swear the Cave troll room was getting flooded 💀
Well now I just need to figure out how to get there before someone else kills the troll or get killed as I am trying to kill the troll... Is this a common run or do you only get once in a while?
That ones already in the oven *Checks Watch*, should be done cooking in about 24-30 hours from now aka tomorrow Ill be posting that video :D ive got a gear and stats guide video coming out today for all classes so youll be able to get some bard related info for gearing up in that as well :)
Can’t wait to sell my blue flute and other gear u find. Killing a wizard got me with purple gear and legendary spell book. Don’t know if I should use or sell 😫
Yessirski, Join the Bard Brigade! Also even outside of just looting up and farming gold Bard is very strong right now in solos so I definitely recommend it! Ill be making an in depth Bard guide in a few days :)
bard is one of the best classes in the game its very well rounded jack of all trades with team support on top not only is it one of the best solo classes but its also BISSSSS in duos/trios
i have been farming this for like 2 days on and off and have gotten 5 pelts so far. made 3 of them into coin bags but each one goes for 4000 right now on the market.
this class is utter bs XD I started with a rouge for fun, but let me tell you, solo rouge is not fun at all :( silly "skills" and feats, agility focused, but you wont even feel it, since like everyone can outrun or run the same speed as you, I have to compromise hard all the time with them, and you just "oh hey, do you know this banger?" then boom, everything is open, like lmao wtf
Personally I do it because I learned the troll on Warlock and there was never an incentive to circle right and now that I’m starting to play more melee classes I just haven’t had the time to learn the circle right method which I know is faster for melee. I still chose to teach the circle left method in this video though because I feel like it’s the easiest and safest way to teach a new player to get their first kills on the troll and then once they’ve got that down it’ll be much easier for them to tackle the circle right method if they want to shave off some extra time :)
Can I ask you if it is always good to take armor, or its sometimes better to have higher movespeed. I play warlock and sometimes wonder if I should take hat/gloves that dont give stats that I like.
Great question, for certain classes, particularly in normals, it will actually be better to remove your gear that applies a movespeed penalty. Gloves for example dont give you a movespeed penalty so you should keep those on if you have them but its pretty common for higher level gamers when playing warlock, ranger, wizard, bard etc. to run into normals with just a pair of gloves and boots on and be completely naked otherwise for maximum movespeed. This is because the armor and stats you get from junk quality chestpieces, helmets, pants isnt going to change the amount of hits it takes to kill you if you get caught by lets say a barbarian. Youre probably still getting two shot either way, so being able to kite better is actually preferred :D
Yeah no cap, when I was originally recording I thought I would be cutting through the gold pile hits so I wasnt paying any attention to what I was doing on cam but then when I went to edit I realized the voice overs were going to cut into and be tailored to the gold pile and welp here we are haha 🤣
Pretty new and specifically not familiar with Bard. I'd be interested in more info on the Perks, Loadout, and Songs you are using in this video. Maybe a whole New Patch Bard Class Guide :)
No worries and no it wasnt mentioned haha, there is no particular reason its just a high APM habit Ive picked up from other games. Technically the benefit though is that if youre moving and crouching/uncrouching while you play your songs your much more difficult to headshot with a crossbow or bow from another player thats stealthily watching you.
Hey not to be rude, but thats a very inefficient way of killing the troll, cycling right allows you do almost only get headshots, u should look into it
No worries, and yeah I’m aware of the circle right method, I just never learned it cause I was mainly a warlock player 😅 but now that I’m playing more melee I do need to look into the circle right method. I did see some of the quickest melee troll kills that were submitted for the troll killing event we’re still circling left even as melee though, I think it’s because in HR circling left is still about the same as circling right because of his new fist smash attack but circling right in normals is definitely quicker 👍🏼
Wait, you’re smurfing actually if I’m mentally visualizing what you mean. Basically so I’ll be sort of “looking towards the center of the screen”? And also just increase the size of my cam and then shift it towards the middle of the screen?
Thanks so much! Glad I could help :D my internet is down so I’m just on my phone and was able to get back to this right away. As of very recently they added gold ore to the goblin caves, it’s in the special room that unlocks after both bosses are defeated and there are multiple gold ore nodes within that room. The only other spot I’m aware of is in Hell on Crypts, specifically in the room with a bunch of spider pots which is only on one of the 3 possible layouts, there are a few other spots though I think you might be able to find them on the interactive maps online
I appreciate that brotha!! And yep, Ive got less than 4% of the total number of views on my EP.1 Beginner guide video as Subs haha! But the subs are definitely ramping up thanks to good folks like yourself which is insanely appreciated!
Thats definitely a good point, I personally would probably prefer to run something like Charismatic performance, Rapier Mastery, Lore mastery and Fermata just for the insane amount of interaction speed which would allow me to hit the gold pile super quick and open chests and all that good stuff really quick as well. But thats just because Ive done a lot of testing on luck and come to the conclusion that it kind of sucks 😂 To be specific I made a video where I got 400+ luck and did some pretty thorough testing and it seemed to make no real noticeable difference.
@@VinisKitchen22 I mostly play trios crypts, and I mainly aim for legendary trinkets from chests in Inferno, even if we kill the boss, because hordes on normals are just not good. They cannot drop legendary or unique quality, but chests can at least drop legendary items. Now you can actually bring a green pendant (with 50 Luck) in the lower bracket. And I prefer taking Luck because it boosts your chances to drop blues and reduces the chance to drop white and grey items (with 100 Luck, it's only a few percent, and I tried it on GC, and the drops from horde were a little better than without it). Fun fact I had the best drops with luck between 60-99 luck. And I mostly take Charismatic performance, Rapier Mastery, Wanderer's Luck and War Song for trios.
Hello brother i love your videos as a new player. I choose a rogue but i struggle a lot even if the game is still very fun. Would you recommend bard to a beginner ? Do you have a guide on it planned any soon ? +1 subscriber i enjoy this game and your educational content :) keep it up
I appreciate that brotha!! Glad I could help :D I do think rogue can be very challenging for beginners especially in PVP. I would recommend bard to beginners if they are looking for something that is strong and has a high skill ceiling, I also dont think its as challenging as rogue since it is quite strong at the moment. I have an in depth bard guide planned to come out tomorrow in fact where Ill be sharing as much knowledge as possible without providing an overload to new players. Im probably going to do one video that covers the perks, skills and stats. Then Im going to make a separate video either the following day or two days after that covers how to PVP effectively as a bard and ranks their matchups into other classes in solos From Easiest to Hardest, if youre really looking to get legitimately hundreds of hours of a headstart on bard compared to other new players youll definitely want to check out both videos! Thanks for the kind words, once again
@@VinisKitchen22 left my rogue for a bard, im enjoying it a lot so far even tho its still tricky to play but eventually i'll get it mastered. i already know this bard guide gonna be very good, cant wait, thx ❤️
True, on normals you can literally run through the entire map without ever having to fight a mob if you know that secret tech! Its also really really good if youre running from a pvp fight because after you aggro all of the mobs but then shut the door and lock them out behind you, the player that is following you will get aggro of all of those mobs and either have to kill them or run them around for a bit to be able to do the same method since theyll all be standing right next to the door. :D
@@VinisKitchen22 I had hyperhyrdosis, ended up witha surgery to fix it - so i get the sweat. Just never seen it for a reason. some like the look XD Great video!
In Depth Bard Guide just came out :D ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fc_fYKgN5JY.html The songs I run for different situations are covered thoroughly in that video, but for this video I believe I was using Rousing Rythms, Beats of Alacrity, Ballad of Courage, Harmonic Shield, Aria of Alacrity all on the right wheel. For the Left wheel I had lament of Langour, Shriek of Weakness and Unchained Harmony. If you want to know how to be able to play all of these songs without needing to build any extra knowledge in your gear then make sure to check out the video since its explained in there :)
That all you got ?? 2k gold??? With oly abit treasure????? If u killl 2 boss u can go mining 10 gold ore for 500g + double chance troll blood + troll pelt + double boss item that can make over 3k gold per run u so bad bro 🤡🤡
