This morning, I found a replaced induction cooker in the dustbin. Take it home and transform it. It can be reused, making a little contribution to reducing carbon emissions on the earth
Good idea from old induction cooker.
I made an induction heater from an old induction hob

Thanks for this great video, I know it's been a long time coming! But I like some tips. I want to know if copper coils can be put on each burner together in 4 induction burners. Then connect them together to take advantage of the full capacity of the stove, which is 6 kW, to get more energy. Thanks from Egypt

It seems that it is not appropriate to use it for work. As far as I know, there are DIY components for high-frequency heaters on the Internet, which will be better than this.

In your opinion, what is the insulating material above the coil if you want to use this method, and what is the amount of heat generated by this process?
@shelbysurya5736
@shelbysurya5736 5 месяцев назад
Use a fiber sleeve, it'll work just fine to prevent it from burning and short-circuiting. Or you can go all in, use fiber sleeve and encapsulate it all in cement (or any heat resistant material like it).

Great video, but I was wondering if there is a specific configuration for winding the coil or i can wind it however I want.
@orphax1925
@orphax1925 5 месяцев назад
with my basic understanding of these effects you can wind it however you want but always in the same direction
@MrYang-ju8lc
@MrYang-ju8lc 5 месяцев назад
You can wind it as you like, but the direction must be consistent. The only focus is to insulate it well to avoid short circuiting the coil.

Oh, i see: if it's still able to drive pancake workcoils in the kitchen then why not an air-core selenoïd?! Well, a genuine IH cooking base happens to be featured with flux-concentrator yokes located below its glass surface, inside in close proximity to the Litz wire actually, so we don't see it but it's there for a purpose nonetheless. ... As a matter of fact i must confess i thought of a similar procedure when i acquired my Salton iD-1081 and found out such pancake workcoils impose a disc diameter of nearly 4+ inches for its detection to succeed. The exact date was December 21st, 2010... Lets raise the bar over a decade later please! Air-core selenoïds generate only TWO poles with just one single magnetic vector in between. My challenge is to "Flex the flux" so to bend that vector in a way to multiply the poles, to redistribute the magnetic energy more evenly rather than focus as a red spot. The thing is all applications don't necessarily even require a metal to be glowing-red, 183°C ~ 188°C (as for 60/40 Solder Alloy) would have been fine back then, though an air-core selenoïd spits out radio noise that has to be tamed down, euh... M'well, unless living in a forest with no neighbours (and no wall-plugs), possibly relying on batteries or solar panels... Consider by folding magnetic vectors via "U" shaped flux-concentrating cores it should become easy & convenient to shield it all in a Faraday box, with the workload sealing its IH Aperture electrically as needed. No more EMi! Believe me, it's sort of boring when the neighbour starts paying visits everytime one installs in the veranda to relax and finally flip the switch, euh... Try it around an A.M. radio, it's like a "barker" invitation signal! At 2 KW why not add an antenna to communicate with beings in space, or on the moon? ... Good day, have fun!!

Try taking the secondary coil out of a microwave oven transformer and set it on an induction stovetop with the two ends of the coil about 4 or 5 inches apart then turn the thing on but step back.. lol.. if it grabs you than you shouldnt die but you will at least wake up a little while later.. the more powerful the induction cooktop is the more the coil will multiply the induced voltage across itself.. i tried it on a 6kw and it made the coil arc to the stove and killed the main breaker to the house.. 150 amp breaker.. stove fried its brains..
@MrYang-ju8lc
@MrYang-ju8lc Месяц назад
Thank you for sharing the method. The wire diameter of the microwave oven coil is too thin. I think it is not suitable for use as an induction coil.
@EnergySeeker
@EnergySeeker Год назад
can you explain to me something how come these wires have no insulation for the coil ?
@MrYang-ju8lc
@MrYang-ju8lc Год назад
Because there is insulating paint on the wire, it is transparent, so it looks like there is no insulation

@@MrYang-ju8lc I see but they don’t get too hot and melt ? Can you tell me how much resistance in ohms are these coils , am looking for a high resistance load because my setup impedance is high

And what will happen if i will replace and directly connect to output 1/4 or 1/2 size hvac copper tube instead of coil in induction stove?
@MrYang-ju8lc
@MrYang-ju8lc 5 месяцев назад
If copper tubes are used, I think the current will increase and may burn the power tubes or coils.

Hello , I bought this card but I will wrap my coil myself. do you know the uh value of the coil?
@MrYang-ju8lc
@MrYang-ju8lc Месяц назад
Hello, there is no specific number of coils. The diameter of the coil can be adjusted according to the actual situation.
@suleymandogan8205
@suleymandogan8205 Месяц назад
It is true. Actually what I need here is the uH value of the coil
@lovethelife5054
@lovethelife5054 6 месяцев назад
I guess as its winding it will get short circuit so coil gets spark and damage
@MrYang-ju8lc
@MrYang-ju8lc 5 месяцев назад
I also think so. If you want to replace it with a copper tube, you should use a resistance value close to the parameters of the original coil. In that case, the volume of the copper tube will be very large, and insulation will also be a problem.

@@iamYOU.youareME5203 Yes, they form a high-frequency current in the coil, what needs attention is to operate carefully to avoid the risk of electric shock, of course this is just an experiment, if you need professional use, it is recommended to purchase the cost
