Alan tuned my old focus with a bnr67 , made 419whp and 432ft/lb torque. I’m back in another focus and I can’t decide if I wanna shoot for those numbers again on a 2867. Or go bigger power and less torque. I really Just want what ever is going to be easier on the stock motor
I love your videos bro! Drop the video for Ethanol content. i just got a 2015 ST3 same color the one right behind you. I'm new to this platform and just fell in love with it right away, this cars are so much fun and I definitely wanna make more HP.
You will need a bigger turbo, as the stock K03 will MAX out about 300whp (though it can pull well over 400wtq on an E30 blend). Even the hybrid PowerMax wont get you to 350whp. If you REALLY only want 350hp..you might as well just max out the stock fuel and shoot for a 370-380whp set up... no fuel upgrades...just a turbo like the BNR67/2867gen2, ethanol blend, then tune it. Done. Obviously you'll need FBO, charge pipes (relocated BOV), etc but you'll also be at a safer level for the engine's health and the clutch should hold out for a long time at that power level.
@richardlapoint1845 yeah man, I asked if that business does customer work. They do not. I was going to drive from PA to their business. I want it done right with no issues.
I hit the dyno and got 396whp. I left kinda mad I was so close. I remembered my spark plugs were a bit old so maybe next time. Love the st content! Oh and I’m on E40.
Great content, as usual! Glad to see a fresh ST video! I'm currently running the BNR3071, XDi35 hpfp, and RS injectors. My goal is 400whp on 93, 430whp or so on an E30/E40 blend. On 93 pump gas its hitting a solid 28.5-29psi and pulls through redline (i shift around 6500-7 but the new redline is about 7200k). Alan, I would mention to those trying to get to the 400whp+ level or even anyone with power less than that, definitely invest in 1 or more OCCs and an upgraded PCV plate (like Radium)..your engine will be pushing a lot more boost than that little K03 was. Blowby is very real and our intake valves get gunked up pretty easily.
If you still have the st, how has the BNR held up? I'm looking to eventually go big turbo and tossed up between the BNR or the ATP GTX turbos. Only thing is I seen a couple early failure reviews on the BNRs
Super happy with Edge and Alan. Their customer service is top notch and Alan knows his stuff. My car runs smoother than stock with twice the power. Solid dude right there!
Hey bro how is the car holding up and what mods with the 2867r did you have? I want around 350 hp or 330 would be perfect on 91. And how did the install go
Hey edge auto sport I’m very worried that my 2018 focus st will have issues I heard that focus st doesn’t like hp and will blow I really do really want to reach that 400hp mark but I’m worried that I will blow a motor and should I or should I not mod my car at 81,000k miles because if I should I might go with a different car
Running an E30 tune from Alan for well over a year, engine still purrs. Just bought a Garrett big turbo and supporting plumbing and aux fuel rail, get ready Alan, I’ll be hitting you up asap.
I had a question, I don’t see the gtx turbo on your website anymore, I want to max the engine to the limits with a good turbo, that incase my motor blows I can slap a built engine in there and still keep the turbo for around 500 is there something like that so in the 370-500 hp range
Hey alan, i just built my motor, best of the best parts installed. My goal is simple. Make it the fastest there is and be able to take the constant abuse. If im able to run straight e85 im down to do it. The whole fuel system has been upgraded as well.
It is harder in CA for sure, Cobb has a a lot of C.A.R.B. legal stuff that can be shipped out there. Otherwise, you might be forced to do some smuggling
We have! The Maverick loves being tuned actually, and we hope to do more in the future. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ik66n1ciO6o.html
Recommendations for charge pipes? Going to step up to (as close as I can without doing the turbo) 300hp and then later to probably 400hp (w/ turbo, fuel, intake, exhaust, and charge pipes) when the ST is not my daily.
Can't wait to see the five hundred horsepower video Alan got me there FBO built motor and transmission LSD XDI hpfp and injectors G 30 660 cpe manifold
People beat the shit out of these cars everyday and still have over 100k on alot of them. Only ones blowing up are huge horsepower st. I mean once you get past a certain power, durability goes out the window
@EdgeAutosport Im not sure if you take requests or suggestions for content, but I'd love to see you guys do some videos on relocating the battery to the trunk, or a cage install ect. Essentially a track prep diy for the ST platform. You guys are like wizards with the ST!
Hey alan, i have had a GTX2867 gen2 powered focus ST for about 3 years now running on 93, engine had recently failed (detonation) but i was gifted an AEM V3 water/meth kit so the plan was to install this while replacing engine, have you had experience tuning with the AEM V3 kit? And with good results?
No you won't have to build your engine to get to 400hp. You need to remove all restrictions and add some extra fuel to break thru the 385 bottle neck. This video will explain aux fuel - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bTIg3KAixUw.html
Why no company has come out with upgraded intank fuel pump?😮💨 p.s i bought a individual 2.0 4 port head off of a jaguar and was told they flow like crap should make a video on cylinder heads thanks
as far as I understand, the stock fuel system can handle plenty compared to the hybrid turbos (370-380+whp vs around 320-330whp or so)...like the Garrett PowerMax. So with the hybrid, I dont think there'd be any reason to invest in any fuel upgrades (pump, aux, injectors, etc). Just swap turbos, get tuned on it for E30 and enjoy the little bump in power.
The kits putting it by the oil pan are definitely close, but it shouldn't be constantly banging against the pan. But if you want to move it to a different location, this is the option we offer. edgeautosport.com/3p-performance-hot-side-intercooler-pipe-for-tial-bov-ford-focus-st-2013-2018/
Awesome! Was tuned by you guys on a BNR67 dual fuel map last year and have been running it for 20k miles. Do I need to build my motor if I wanna crack into the low 400s? I’m probably at 350ish now.
You don't need to build the motor for 400, you need to remove restrictions, add some extra fuel, and then tune again. This video will explain Aux Fuel - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bTIg3KAixUw.html
Don’t take your focus ST after you have changed to the extreme di fuel pump big turbo intercooler to injected engineering in Kennesaw Georgia because they have had my car for a few days now and told me they knew how to tune on Cobb and I get it there and I want to switch it to HP tuners and they still cannot figure out how to tune the extreme Di fuel pump

@@EdgeAutosport thank you i will do that their supposed to have it back to me today or tomorrow but who knows what their gonna say the power capability is bc they know nothing about the upgrades and what they will support
You say you will answer any build questions, but you never even responded to mine. I was asking particular questions so i better understood some things so that i could do the research on the parts to buy. I am old school motors and mods and the turbo thing was new so i ask particular questions to better understand the system, i respect your abilities but i am unsure if i try again whether or not you will answer my questions
