It would be great if you can make a video on the progress of the cuttings all the way until the plantlets developed well enough to be transplanted in their own pots.
I love your channel bro, keep up the informative videos. Also your accent is cool and adds a bit of variety to those of us in other parts of the world.9.8/10
I just recently propagated my Drosera Adelae giant successfully. I also had a Drosera spatulata that had a lot of flowers growing out of the cluster, that had small plants growing on them. Not sure if they made seed and some germinated on the stem? But they're rooting with the Adelae giant. Very easy to propagate
@lucasroman6510 I just cut off a couple leaves and put them in distilled or rain water when I had some, in a take out container with a clear lid. I changed the water every week or 2 as I remembered. It took quite awhile, I can't remember if it was 6 or 8 weeks. But I got plants on every cutting.
My drosera burmannii seeds i put them and spread like a chicken feed on a flat container and now I'm problematic how i manage to seperate each plant they are so many from 1pod 🤯😵
Can you make a video how to save sundew from root rot? Because i purchased yesterday a drosera x beleziana the roots is all black and stinky smell but the leaf is ok
Hey man. I don't normally comment much on videos, however, you seem knowledgeable and I'd like some help if you wouldn't mind. I have recently got a few different carnivorous plants and drosera is one of them, I have the kind that has a long stem with no hairs and then a circular top with the hairs. So far new to this and I'm wondering about the plants themselves, I live with pets and there's hair floating around, do you think the hairs that do end up on the plants as my cats love jumping about, will they stress the plant out tricking it to expend energy to try and catch a hair that won't bring it nutrients.
for the water propagation technique mine never grows roots only leaves so i have to transfer them soon or else the original leaf gets soggy and the cutting fails
What's the best brand soil to buy for carnivorous plants on Amazon? I have some capensis in propagation and looking to find the best soil for them when ready.
I live in the U.S. but am very interested in buying some Drosera from you if you can send them here. I am very new to these types of plants. Thanks so much!
Hi Jeff. Unfortunately I can’t send to you unless you have import permits, the best would be to purchase from suppliers in the USA, it is more expensive in the states but at least you’ll have the ability to get them 😁
@@TheFlytrapGarden So quick? Another question: I just saw that you cut the leaf not at its origin but somewhere close to it. Wouldnt it be better or more efficient to cut it with its white end (part of the rhyzom)? And after those 1-3 months it did develop roots or when would be the best time to pot it?
