This is a very detailed video on how to make a 6 pieces gown without joining at the waistline. its pretty easy and can be achieved by all.

I've answered this question several times oo.... 112 was my own makeup. You can make yours bigger or smaller by increasing or decreasing the number. For the breast, strictly follow the instructions I gave and you will have nothing to worry about.

My standard circumstance for a 6 pieces skirt is 96, then I either add to 96 if I want the circumference to be bigger or reduce if I want it to be smaller. So in making this gown I just assumed 112 will be ok for the circumference and it turned out nice

I used 112 because that how wide I want the hem to be. You can make yours bigger or smaller.

@diana mensah Yes your base measurement is what I call circumference. You can follow these steps for a younger person but with the person's measurement but the Hem cirmcumference will have to be reduced.

Yes you can....but you will have it divide by 12. If you want 8 pieces, you will divide it by 8.

Pls using this method will dress have a slight cup on the burst area and using the same pattern to cut the back,wont it have a sort of cup at the back.

The funny thing is that using this method will bring out the shape of your bust, underbust and waist. It also wont affect the back side in any way. Everything will be in the right proportion. Sounds magical but it works.

Instead of adding 1 inch like I did when I when working it out. You will add 1.5, if you want it to be 2 inches, then add 2 inches

For this style its safe for you to join the panels before cutting the neck, shoulder and armhole

Honestly I don't have a special method of deriving the Hem. But all through my life as a designer I have always used 90 inches as my standard for cutting a moderate 6 pieces skirts/ gowns. I added extra inches because I want this flare to be Fuller.

To cut your own you need to get the necessary body measurement .....the Waist, bust, underbust, shoulder, half length and full length

There is no exact formular for it, 96 inches is my own standard for making 6 pieces skirts or gowns. But then if you want the flare to be bigger you can increase it and also decrease it if you want it to be smaller.
