In this video, Jenkins covers his new Nature's Prophet build that will make your opponents (and probably teammates) hate you. Patreon: / jenkinsdota Twitter: / jenkinsdota Twitch: / 420jenkins #Dota2 #Natures #Psychopath
I've actually played against such prophets. This is a pain in the ass even at the beginning when you get your courier killed. It's also annoying playing against him on mid lane if you're a melee midder. He just spams Sprout and you can't farm while he hits you. Even if you have axe to cut the trees it's usually not that easy to get out since creeps will probably bodystop you, and you lose at least one creep because he will do this exactly when you're about to land a last hit. Further = worse. All of the shit that Jenkins is telling about here and you can't do anything if you don't have mobile/long-disabling heros that can kill him solely or at least duo. The thing gets even worse if your teammates aren't aware about all NP shenanigans, because every next trick is just a new, unknown problem.
Agreed, if you're a good player, then you're going to be a piece of shit towards enemy. If you're a bad player, then you will be a piece of shit to your team. But a piece of shit nonetheless 🤣
I think you unknowingly will have made a lot more than 9 people on the internet hate you by posting a video advocating that people play not only the lowest winrate hero of the entire patch but that they also play them as a Patrick Bateman style psychopath Edit: meh, the rest of the video isn't that bad I suppose, pretty standard NP really, but that starting courier strat is straight from the mind of a madman
four things I learned from this video: 1. Dota's map is huge 2. Support looks fun to play 3. There is no way I'd be able to convince my friends to learn this game 4. As a casual gamer I should just stick to league
@@TheDominionOfElites tbf, the techies before the winrate COULD be insanely offensive with the blast off and the right items, but about 95% of all techies players never used them as a teamfighter, only as a fortifier
I really liked this video, laughed so much in a long time. Thanks Jenkins!. Dota videos are more fun to watch when you have stopped playing the game or are on a break, you can feel others suffering while you aren't :)
Tip 5: If you can't push them enemy base because they refuse to get out, and there's a chance of throwing by forcing your team to go in, then teleport into your enemies' base and place some observers/sentries next to the trees you are hidden, this will encourage your team to jump in with good timing to make bettter decisions on whom to catch firrst
I've been doing this stuff as a Weaver. position 4 or 5. Ring of basic + euls and some raindrops and clarity or two. You have mana regen to stay on the enemy side permanently. Cutting waves, farming some camps. They have to send several heroes to kill you or just go mid as 5 and win the game.
Drums is insanely good for this play style and aghs is an amazing item after orchid With drums you melt tower with your treants and can be usefull to buff your team in small team fights With aghs you have a lot more options you have better team fight, pick off and its a small counter initiate item since it also disarms during the root, also since it reduces the cd you can use it to also split push by killing the waves if necessary Also if you are close to 25 and get the 2.5x hp/dmg talent consider getting AC you can kill barracks and towers with backdoor Was doing this stuff for almost one year because I like making people play hero siege
Im literally doing this shit for years now, and i can assure you it feels sooo goood to be killed by 4 to 5 angry enemy heroes because of this bullshit. plus dont forget a pos 5 furion with ez 500+ gpm at the end of the game.
Every time I watch guides on how to play heroes, people always skimp on important details and neglect to mention necessary components, but STILL have longer videos than 10 minutes. You fit the 10 minute time mark perfectly, and covered a large part of the essentials. I think a part you didn't cover that a newer player like myself might need to know is when you should be team fighting, and what you should be doing when your TP is on cooldown. You obviously don't start the game at level 25 so choosing when to TP in and out based on cooldowns is something I don't honestly know how to do. If it is on cooldown, do I just farm jungle? Farming enemy's jungle is dangerous, farming my own takes my carry's farm away, so that leaves open lanes which are a good choice, but what if there are no open lanes? If I'm officially pos 5, even pos 4 should be taking lane creeps/jungle before me, right?
Very true, I am an admittedly lower skilled player who has been ratting with NP for a few months now. What I have personally found is that in low mmr games, you can usually reliably get to the enemy's jungle camps from lane without setting off too many alarm bells. So if you push/cut in the early game, farm the weakest camps in the enemy's jungle (cause you want to save your trees for the next tp), then tp and push/cut again, you should be able to keep a steady income of gold. The other thing to remember too, is that if you stay in lane with your trees you can help push even more, get more gold, and more xp. Yes, people get annoyed, especially super hungry pos 1s, but after 5-10 mins they can't keep up with the lanes pushing and pulling like you can as Natures. Last thing I've learned is that some team comps just make NP unusable and a waste of space. You will get flamed for that for sure lol.
>nature's prophet >teamfight lol, I never played dota, but from what I learned in this video, nature's prophet was designed to splitpush and be annoying threat which can be easily disabled if you gang up on him while in teamfights he barely does anything beyond his trees, which should be destroying towers and not wasting time doing nothing to enemy heros. Also this video is about making 9 people hate you so you're not supposed to teamfight even if this hero could help somewhat.
@@kirayoshikage4057 I guess you're right. I come from league of legends (I quit aaages ago) and I used to play tryndamere. He's similar to natures: Very, VERY strong split pusher, fantastic at farming map wide, great mobility and really solid at taking out 1-2 enemies in a fight. One difference, though, is that he's actually not half bad at team fights. He's obviously not great at team fights as he gets locked down hard, but he's better than nature's. That's kind of distorted my view of how nature's should operate, I suppose.
@@lightrxy In league of legends? Tryndamere can spin and run faster than nearly any character in the game. In the context of League, yes, he DOES have great mobility.
Im a pesky NP spammer as well, what other toxic thing i do is buying things for my team, and im not talking about wards, im talking about buying bottle for the midlaner as soon as i can, then turning my blightstone to a solar crest, then after the 20 minute mark i get shards then buy moonshards for my cores, which in turn reduces my net worth so that my buyback price is kept low, i hardly take much xp and give tomes to the other support so that i can keep between the lvl 15- 20 mark by lategame, i just tp splitpush and solar crest the big treants and melt towers if the enemy kills me and gets to a fight i buyback and continue pushing again nonstop till i eventually break the enemies spirit by taking rax as a lvl 9 hard support all on my own by the 25 minute mark respawn if dying is like 20 - 30 seconds and buying back cost like 500 gold best way to become more toxic than what youre proposing
The amount of games I've seen an earth spirit flaming their carry and building echo sabre and shadow blade is getting ridiculous now, it's almost as bad as the lion rushing 2 nulls and aghs whilst their teams dying to lack of vision/easily winnable fight
Im a small brain person, plays league and don't technical understand anything in this video But your raw sadistic intention to make people suffer sends a common signal into my brain and I can't stop laughing to your pure genius
Bro, i downloaded the game yesterday, as a League of legends player, and i tried primal beast (i think he'll be my main), but to try to understand the game i'm watching videos of the game , such as this one, and i tried ur character for the first time on my 7th or 8th game ever, i fkn destroyed each towers of the map except mid lmaoooo, this was so much fun, push a lane, leave cuz ennemies beats u, go to the other lane now that ur full life, push this one, ennemies comes back, tp to a lane where no one is, push this one, repeat the operation til u win, i fln love that kind of splitpushing character (i'm a inting plat sion main on league) imma keep this character in mind if i ain't good with primal beast, loved ur video
Same i'm an int sion main in diamond too and this guy look like lot of fun. I also play yorick and the fact that this character can summon 20 tree that can be controlled across the map and tanky is out of my mind.
Good advice. I do this, been doing this for years now. But the thing is, despite me ratting two tier3s + racks. My team is so sad that we lose in a single push
I play league and have never touched Dota, this video feels like walking in a dream because I can understand the absolute basics of most things yet I’m still completely baffled by everything.
I don't play dota, haven't played league in forever, I recently took a break from pokémon unite a while ago, why the heck am I watching this? Why did it get recommended to me?
2 minutes in just very calmly, "Make that motherfucker hate trees" I know absolutely nothing about Dota but this shit it entertaining man, good job, now im off to watch the rest.
Ok, I loved this master Jenkins, I've only been playing for a year and there are lots of heroes I haven't tried yet, but after watching your streams I decided to give NP a try and, even tho I got killed multiple times, we win and I did a lot of damage through split pushing, much love and hope to see more of this in the future
personally I often use my treants in the early game to farm the jungle passively while I am on the lane, increasing my farm, this is ofcourse only true if its the early game and every land is occupied, no purpose to pushing a lane with enemy heroes in it during the mid game I send my treants around top and bot while I farm the jungle with my hero, yes, I am so paranoid that I will never use my hero to push anymore I also don't cut the wave like you do, as I don't enjoy spending time waiting for tp cooldown or putting myself in unknown enemy territory, or worse, buying TP's the backdoor protection needs its own chapter though as tier 1 towers have no protection, thus you can just send waves of treants regardless of the wave at tier 1 towers the final part about the base being without backdoor is the golden time, when you can relentlessly cycle between pushing towers at every enterance I only buy shard/aghs/octarine/hex/bkb as I hard-focus on simply pushing, nothing is quite as rewarding as winning a game by just brutally overpowering 5 enemies with sheer numbers who needs to win a teamfight when they cant even deal with your waves?
As someone who never played dota, you could have said that it's basically Yorick of Dota. Would have made me less confused for the half of the video XD
For lower mmr bros: play as 4 instead, put the ward deep in front of the enemy fountain by teleporting like 20 secs before the horn so u can snipe them in the laning phase, and do what jenkins told u in midgame-lategame. Another tip by me: put sentries down in lanes so they cannot get the information of where u are and what are u doing, and suggest pos3 to pick passive tanky heroes so you can leave them alone for a while if the enemies are trying to go aggressive when you're not in the lane.
This is straight up one of the best DOTA 2 tutorials you could learn at a higher/mid level. And it's in the form of a Nature's Prophet meme, wouldn't have it any other way.
Im just sitting here pretending i know how dota works like "Yeah, sending the tree goblins past the pillars of lasers to kill the enemies pet dogs is exactly what i would do if i played dota"
Furion was my favourite hero. I exclusively rat pushed my way into 4.5k MMR with Furion or Necro4 Lycan (when he was OP and you had to take rax by 25 minutes or lose the game). Even in 4.5k support Furion was working even though people we raging. I don't if know he still has crazy starting damage but back in the day you could just start with blight stone (yes I know) and just right click the offlaner out of the lane. Pull creep wave and then just go at him again trading heavily which doesn't matter cause at level 2 you would just W back to the fountain and TP back to lane and the ordeal began again. If the carry did his job you'd just fuck off into the woods after a while and farm up or gank. Could build him into pretty much anything. Downside was that dragged out Furion games usually ended up as stale mate that took forever like techie, naga, pl or tinker games.
"Dont worry about your team getting mad about you wasting smokes, when they dont even know what they are" Dude so true, the people that cry about wasted smokes are the same people who dont buy a smoke all game haha
ive never played dota 2 in my life nor know what is going on, but I am entirely enthralled in whatever it is youre doing and your explanation of it all
Отличное видео. Хороший подход. Правда мне как всегда порой не хватает субтитров (По понятной причине)). Но в этом видео большинство предложений было понято. Спасибо за видео, держите лайк.
