Good job! As long as it works you don't need nothing fancy, just use what you got because steel is expensive nowadays. Don't listen to these idiots they would buy a $2,000 grapple with pretty paint for a $1,500 machine. Fine job!
Love to see a fellow machinist/mechanic saving money and building something that is probably better quality that the junk china makes. BTW My 853 has controls on the right steering lever to control grapples. I'm going to build a grapple and a log splitter for mine. A hydraulic motor coupled to a bush hog and mounted on the front is one kick ass grass cutter. No more driving into a hole or ditch like I did with the rear mount bush hog on the John Deere 850.
Thanks. I want it detachable for smaller work (I'll use aluminum) add a broom grapple combo. P-up brush with grapple and clean parking lots with a bucket catch-all and the grapple spinning and position the 4"x4' broom You have helped me good video thank you
Awesome stuff mate. If you have the wherewithal to get out and build things that you need yourself you are able to accomplish a helluva lot. Much more satisfaction in operating something you built yourself too.
great job, you have just pushed me over the edge, I had the same vision, but now that I have seen it I will build it. check out my attachments, I built a 2 stage blower. never the less great job
@@JB-kw4ug minimal. I can't remember specifics. But the 610 ran the VH4D Wisconsin. The 600 had a slightly less powerful gas engine. Both great little machines.. it's neat that these were bobcats before bobcat came to be. The 600 and 610 were melroe. Then bought by bobcat. I have most of the tech manuals if you need them.
@@JB-kw4ug also. There should be a little name plate, about an inch tall by ,3 inches. If you're looking at the machine, under the seat to the right of the choke cable. It would be right where your calves are if you were seated
@@collincissell1381 people rag on me because it only lifts 1000 pounds and has a top speed of 5mph. But like I tell them, that's 1000 pounds I don't have to move. nd you can't beat the simplicity of these machines !
Good for you!!! You put you brains and skills into use and got great tool, which will save you even more... Sometimes picking up something is a bitch without this extra "hand"
Hope ya find 2,, Love my Mini excavator,,But the bobcats are Industrable,, Im thinking of cutting My old back Hoe end off,as I have the Mini, and make a big ass fort truck!!!!!!!! Thanks,Jack
Good job, i am going to think again about making one myself. I have a question for you did you cut down the sides of the bucket to give it more of a opening to slide material into ??? and did you have to reinforce the bucket any ??
Nice work. I have an old Melroe M444 with the third hydraulic pedal and I've been thinking of ways to use it. To get the grapple fully released, do you have to get out and manually list it by hand?
I have em seen Buillt,,prob came from china, and Installed for 6 grand,In this economy,,Needless to say,He Had NO BACKLOG!!!!! ,,,Looking GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great welding skills to whom ever built this grapple system without the profanity cause your Mother is not a Female Dog just saying respect goes along ways no man or womans mother should be call that word .
AHP 160 amp dual voltage welder with 60% industrial duty cycle, $275. Harbor Freight auto darkening helmet $49. 30 amp Hypertherm Plasma cutter $900 (don't really need that though). $100 for cylinder. $100 for steel. $1,424 for everything plus you get a badass welding set up for anything you want to build in the future. That's how I got my set up and it's paid for itself probably 20 times over in just a few years.
