In this particular video, to cut the 1/8 in plate, we used a Hypertherm powermax 85 plasma system set to a 45 amp process; the 45 amp process was used because it showed us the best cut quality out of the 3 choices available (45, 65, and 85 amp).
The cut speed was 110 inches per minute and the total amount of time it took to cut this part was 17 minutes.
In addition, due to the quality of air we used in combined with the proper cut speeds, the grind time was shortened drastically. We were able to finish the part front and back with a grinder in roughly 1 minute.
