Very nice and enjoyed that, going to a Comp this saturday - All Ireland Open Cod Championship - will make up a few of these for my scratching around rod, and a few of your Pulley rigs for the Main Big rod, Thanks for sharing
Great job :-) Just one suggested improvement for the first type of rig you showed - pass the dropper loops through the hooks the other way (from front to back), it'll help with hook ups
Would you ever use French books to get the flappers to stand proud of the main line? I guess just another version of a stand off loops or twisted boom. Down in Polperro this weekend so, I'll be knocking a few up to scratch around.
I use the blood loop method, but I snip one leg of the loop at the knot, gives me a double length hook snood, if you get me, I do the same on my fly fishing leader to droppers.
How's it going John, could you make a video on how to make the first trace knots up close and slower please, or a video on LRF rigs with the same method so if it snaps we don't loose much gear
John could you slow down on the knots for the hook lengths on the first rig I cant seem to get it right or if you tell me what it's called I'll look it up thank you 👍
