How to Make a 4S 30A 18650 Rechargeable Battery Pack (27,200mAh) 

So satisfying to watch I recycle any LI battery I can find. Seriously many dead packs just has a bad bms the batteries can be saved! I have packs for everything from trolling motor to emergency lights. Finding good BMS can be tricky amongst the sea of junk or you can run the same leads and just manually charge with a hobby charger it balances in some cases better. Can solder fuse wire to form the series. This video is the ideal way using great cells just saying you can skip the bms and spot welder. Just have to watch batteries or add a low voltage cut off. I have had great luck using hobby chargers skipping the bms. They have a storage charge which can extend the batteries as well as a load test and a load balance. More hands on but I like that!

My e-bike is 60v, 5x12v20ah batteries. Inside the case there are 6 compartments about 21x60mm. When in 'run' mode, it is 12v x 5 = engine voltage. When an 3.2v cell is used, the charging voltage for a 60v sla battery is used 5x12.8v The rated capacity should be higher just because it is 4 cells rather than 3. I found this worth mentioning as a vid I recently watched has a 12V20ah (sla case version) having 3 cells at 3.7v while the motor/controller of a 500watt motor prefer the lower voltage when 12V is 4x3.2v cells. 54V charge 52V run 48V cut-off 64V charge 62V run 48V shutdown In my 'case' the straps for the lower side would also act as a cradle as it has to go over the plastic divider. The motor's capacitors are 'refreshed' by a 60V sla battery pack. Being connected in a series (12x4=48v, 12x5=60v,12x6=72v, 12x7=84v hub motor/speed controller) would seem to make it a continuation of what the 8 individual cells begin. 10ga wire between the cases, 6"long. The sla batteries work, they also require 'a lot' of upkeep and they do end up dying, most from being frozen. The case is durable and 12v is a 'safe limit' for 'the basement'. Drop in some 'updated items', seal the case and enjoy the maintaince free sla batteries for years to come. Come winter that is.

Spec battery is 16v 4s 3,400 mah x 2 = 4s 6,800 mah not 3.7v 27,200 mah

Qual FONTE (e tensão) você usa para carregar um pack desse 4S1P (16.8v), mestre? Se entendi bem, o LM2596 precisa que a fonte de entrada seja SUPERIOR em tensão, dessa forma para um pack desse fica mais difícil achar fontes né, as de notebook são bem mais caras. Se tiver uma alternativa mais em conta, me dê uma sugestão por gentileza?! =/

I dont think you should connect those cable to the batteries, thats for balance charge i think... You must connect batteries to the B1, B2, etc terminal with those nickel strip to able handle large current (30A to the spec of bms).. those cable you connect arent able, thats why its for balance charger like imax, etc 👍

That battery is TINY. I am building an e-bike battery with a power of 252 Wh (14.4V 17.5Ah) with 28 cells of 2,500 mAh each. Granted, you're using higher capacity cells, but in a 4S2P package. My e-bike battery is gonna be 4S7P. 27,200 mAh would require a battery that has 13,600 mAh each. Impossible in 18650, 21700 or bigger battery sizes! Possible with g huge LiFePO4 cells, but those have different voltages. There are 100Ah LiFePO4 cells for example.

6800 mAh capacity, max. discharge current just less than 10 A (4.875 A per battery x 2)

Heya I loved the video man 👍 I have a question regarding my 4s BMS, I just installed one for my 4s 4p battery and I got 16.40 volts out of the BMS which is good but whenever I plug my battery to a load the battery immediately drops to 11.16 volts and but it drops to 4.8 volts when I start using the load with the battery. Can you tell me what's causing this? The BMS and battery cells are brand new.

Leads from the bms should all be the same length and this 2p4s battery is never going to hit 30ah. Cells should also have near equal charge prior to assembly.
