Don't try this home if circuit failure then totally destroy ur phone. Otherwise u can bye a 12 mobile DC charger that better then this idea so guys be careful.
you claim 50,000 mah battery. but your using a 12 v 7ah battery, step down to 5v. so basically little more than doubling the amount hour... so, not like 17,000 mah battery. not even half what you claim.
I want to set something like this up at my campsite with a solar cell to charge. I can buy the whole thing in a kit. But I would prefer to know how to construct it myself out of separate components. Question - I also want to improve my Mobile Data connection above the local topography using an areal and some sort of signal booster powered by battery charged by solar cell. Does anyone know how to do this in a legal way for UK
Leighton Fisher I built a power bank with Volt battery volt meter on and 2x 5v 1amp usb sockets, 2x5v 2amp USB sockets and 1x 12v live cigarette socket, charged by solar or wall. You can do this as shown in video with a standard in car 12v - 5v usb cigarette socket adapter available in most fuel garridges. Just install a 2 amp blade fuse in between positive on the battery and positive on adapter. Hope this helps
David O' Gorman Hi, Thanks for your reply. I can get a kit at Maplin (a UK electronics store) for about £70 including the solar cell. But I want to know how to put it all together myself, not just because it "may" work out cheaper but simply because I like to know how to put it all together myself. I've already got a car cigarette lighter to USB adaptor to use in emergency with a little 3 volt battery. And now that the weather is getting better I'll have a go at rigging the whole lot up. I've temporarily solved the signal strength problem by using a MiFi (with success). I'll be getting an unlocked MiFi, one with Ts9 ports to attach a booster antenna to. That should really solve the problem. Someone at Maplin told me that it is illegal in the UK to attach an antenna to a device (even if it has a port for one / as they are devices ment for other countries). If he is not mistaken I'll be solving that problem by declaring a Republic. Thanks for your help
Sir this is really a great project. But if connect transformer to step down voltage then Amp should be increase but it need 1.55 amp for charge mobile . So defenently it will destroy the mobile.
That battery has more like 10,000 mAh 15,000 mAh if your lucky a full sized car battery has about 50,000 - 80,000 mAh that small sealed battery won’t have that much

Actually uh can but practically speaking uh wont get the full potential bec those r cranking battries its not made for long use or deep cycle.........But yeah practically uh can.....
How many turn of the volume when you realize it's not gonna be any talking anyway.( Here's a Tip! why not do something different than ALL the other videos like these one's ) Play some chillout music, and don't boost audio file to maximum before upload. We can adjust the volume with two buttons on our side of our phone ourself.

How do I find the 12v adapter socket? I couldn't find one anywhere. Please post a link. Also, you could have put an over-under charge protection module in as well, wouldn't have harmed you and it could save your house from burning down.

You must be one of these eBay sellers that love to exaggerate about their product. That is a standard 6.5-7 amp hour battery which translates to 6500-7000mah not 50,000mah.
