It is important that when you sew in a zipper that it is open when the slider is in the middle and closed when the slider is at the back, otherwise the sharp metal of the slider will press into your arm and you cannot use the zipper properly.I have already complained about a cover for the bagpipes to the dealer because it was sewn the wrong way round.
