My friends Elisha from Pneumatic Addict and Sam from DIY Huntress came to town for a few days to learn how to hand cut dovetails and we had a blast! While they were learning standard dovetails I decided to challenge myself to cut these mitered dovetails.

3:23 THIS!!! This is the kind of detail that is helpful. Using a break-knife to mark pins down in the dovetails. ALL OTHER RU-vidRS I've seen use a purpose made marking knife for this, like there's no other way or tool that gets this done but, IN FACT, the thinness if a break-knife blade makes it (in my opinion) a better tool than a marking knife which has so much thickness in the blade that you can't fit it between the tails.

For the in-fill glue up, do you only glue the mitered edges? Or do you glue up the flat faces somewhat as well?
