How to make friendship bracelets with square knot?
It is a super easy bracelet for beginners.
Knots used: square knot, wrapping knot

You should call this the “DNA Bracelet.” Great idea. I want to try this but I wonder if you can add beads to the two center strands you make knots around. Or would that mess up the design?

Thank you for your suggestion of calling it the "DNA Bracelet." As for adding beads to the center strands, it is definitely possible, but it may alter the design and thickness of the bracelet. You can experiment with adding beads and see how it looks.😘😘😘

I love video tutorials but I realized how much easier it looks than actually doing it, especially for me. One thing I figured, after many pauses and replays, one color is knotted on top and the other on the bottom. I love this bracelet! THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEOS, I'M HOOKED ON KNOTS!

You can click on the "gear" in the bottom left in the video and set the video to play slower. you can also rewind. Hope this helps! It's actually quite easy. I'll be making a few after I've completed my current project.

You forgot to put...tape or secure the middle two strings...had such a hard time moving the middle two strings back in place

К сожалению даже на самой медленной скорости плохо видно какие нити и где перекрещиваются, вы закрываете их пальцами на видео. Браслет классный! Пойду поищу описание для новичков с объяснение куда какая нить идет.

very nice patterns anita, thanks for sharing!! I've seen a few others on your channel (your desings?) and this is the one I tried. both friends my age (50-ish) and my kids (late teens) liked the design and asked for bracelets of their own I don't like paracord so I used crocheting cotton (of which I have many shades and colors 😀) and it worked just as well!! of course, is frays faster, and it gets dirtier, but it also can be replace quite easy when it frays beyond wearing, and it cleans just as easy as washing your hands! and, of course, for cotton, you need to use a bit of jewelry glue instead of singeing.

Love the pattern. When you have finished to the end of pattern do you knot the four pieces together before positioning ready for sliding knot? I can’t work out how you are positioning ready for sliding knot. I’m not using the full length as I want it for a child of 7. So I’m only going to about 3/4 of middle two pieces of thread. Hope that all makes sense.

Thank you, Lyn. You can tie a knot at both ends of the thread used for sliding knot to avoid confusion. If you cut the length to 3/4, maybe the thread will not be enough. Longer is better than short.

You don't actually need to flip or twist it. Just keep repeating the same steps and the spiral effect will appear naturally.❤

In this video, I keep knotting in the same direction to make spiral bracelet. If you want to make a square knot bracelet, try alternating the direction. I hope it helps!

This was a good tutorial up until the ending. You didn’t make it clear at all what you did with the extra string left over so I ended up ruining the bracelet. Next time please say what you’re doing and make it more clear.
