I've always done the Chinese Staircase pattern. Tonight, I did a braid pattern. The colors I used were pink, light blue and light green. It really turned out nice

say you have blue and red. you cross the blue over the red and flip the blue under.then take the red and blue strings and tighten it

The rope on the left passes over the one on the right then it goes around the outside and up trough the bottom of the loop. make sure you make a number 4 or it'll get messed up. You tie 2 knots for each string. then move one string to the right.

Hi there! I was wondering how do you tie the ends together? I understand that you need to braid two strands but then how do you tie to the other end once it's on since the other end is just loose strings?

I am confused! The knots look like backward knots, but she puts the working strand "below" the other strand and not "above" the other strand as it is supposed to. Not sure if I'm totally wrong; I'm a beginner. What difference does her style make for the design? Hope to get some clarification about this, thanks.

after i finish them, i usually just make a knot at the bottom as close to the end of the braid as possible, then cut off all the extra string except about 2-3 inches so i have enough room to tie it on my wrist / ankle!
