Your bows are nice. The last one you made would look good in front of the mirror behind you. I do also, agree with the many comments on how you didn't show the twisting and the way you sped the video up to 100 miles an hour. What was that about?
Very pretty bow making. I don't think I've ever seen zip ties used for this. Wondering if that'd make it more expensive than using a spool of 20 or 18-gauge wire? BTW: I disagree w/the previous comment about speeding up the video. Yeah, I get bored too when some videos take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to do some basic stuff. But the unfurling of the ribbon into the pouf bow, I think, is really crucial to people who may not know the correct way to do this to achieve the beautiful effect you did. Thanks for all your tutorials and attention to detail. Merry Christmas!
It wasn't expensive at all to get the pack of zipties and they are much stronger than wire. I'm sorry I sped up that part if people needed to see it, I thought it was just self-explanatory that I was moving all the loops away from the center. Merry Christmas to you too and thanks for your comment Jay!
The part where the bow is being separated and fluffed out was fast forwarded - this is the part that I needed the most...Is there another video where this is able to be watched through with normal time? Thanks
Oh I'm sorry I thought that was self explanatory. If you are using wire edged ribbon it is easy to pull apart your bow and manipulate its shape to be large loops. The key here is securing the center tightly so you can really pull on the bow loops and separate them. There is no particular method to pulling the bow loops apart from each other. Did that answer your question? Or is there something else I can elaborate for you?
@@WelcometotheWoodsBlog oh thank you so much. I did not expect an answer today of all days. I was making a display for Thanksgiving and getting so frustrated because I could not pull the loops apartment appropriately. The display looks okay and people who have never done bows say it looks great but I know it could look better. Thank you again so kind of you to answer. Please have a blessed holiday season. I love the video other than the fact that that part of the process is my weakness
Elaine Mickley I have to agree. Although it is self explanatory I too am finding this the hardest bit and have a guide to this would be easier (sometimes seeing it done is easier to do)
Thanks for the video, super clear to me now, I'll make the 1st one for my presents next Xmas. Truly thanks. I need to find a good one for wrapping I struggle with that...wasting a lot of paper every single year.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I'll be making one for my door, which i covered with wrapping paper. This will really make it look like a giant present. TY and Happy Holidays!
Ohh you again, what are the odds. I keep falling in love over and over again each time I randomly come upon your videos lmao I forgot why I even searched this😊
Well, for the most part I got it. The second one does that first circle need to be bigger when you want a bigger bow? Also I made your first bow that was not the same on both sided. But I did turn them , but something wasn’t right
This method is so easy, and it really works beautifully. I love that you don't cut the ribbon until the very end. I did use pipe cleaners and they worked very well, even on large bows.
They are the same. The older people years ago, called them pipe cleaners because that's what they were used for. The name later on in years got changed.
I'm so happy I found your bow tutorial and i did subscribe because I like to take tutorials from people who can break things down and not overcomplicate therefore totally losing me or I should say I lose them . I have a ton of wreaths to make and i really just started but I realized after making 1 tonight that I really couldn't make a dang bow and that's not gonna work. I copied 1 person's tutorial(no names) but my bow looks more like it belongs on a gift as there's no tails so not happy with that and then you came along and between her really helping me getting started on my wreaths you have in fact help me "finish" them with a beautiful bow cause if I can't follow your instructions well I'm hanging it up and buying ready made ones ... Thanks again Feliz Navidad
I SWEAR, I was watching someone last night make Bows, and he used Pipe Cleaners. Since I didn't have Pipe Cleaners, I thought, "Oh well, I'll just use Zip Ties!" TO MY SURPRISE, YOU USED THE SAME THING!!!! GREAT MINDS, RIGHT?!
I understand why you sped up the first time, but not the second time. I couldn't see exactly how you were manipulating the loops. My bow turned out to be a hot mess that wasn't circular.
She is twisting each loop as she separates them. She didn’t say it or show it. If you want to find out how to make easy bows, check out Dave the wreath guy here on RU-vid. I hope that helps
