Materials used:
5 x 5" square christmas cakes
5" round cake set-up board
10" square cake presentation board
4" round cookie cutter
knife
apricot jam
pastry brush
fondant rolling pin
fondant (red, white, ivory, light blue, dark blue, black, brown)
petal dust (light pink)
plastic wrap
fluffy paint brush
flower/edible glue
star plunge cutters

Hi Sharon, can you tell me how far in advance I could this cake, working all over Christmas so figure if I can do what I can pre Christmas I might not go insane.

Hi Noreen, if it's a traditional fruit cake, you could do it a few months in advance, though the fondant would be quite hard by Christmas. If any other cake, I'd say about 4-5 days, same as you would store any other cake, keeping in mind it can go in the fridge unless you have an industrial fridge without any condensation otherwise all your hard work would be ruined if you put it in a fridge.
